Hello all,

My company just "upgraded mwy wizard for a kaiser (tilt) anyways i used to use battery status to underclock my phone when not in use to extend the battery time......

i know it's a different processor but is there a program to do this yet? :D

You don't need to do that, Kaiser underclocks itself automatically when idle.

Also switch to GSM mode from 3G mode, it saves A LOT.

And what way do you turn off the 3G then?

Another way is to find Schap's comm manager, its allows you to quickly turn off 3G and on. I can't remember is Dutty's comm mananger had one, I believe so.

Turning off Beam, and Bluetooth OBEX (if you don't use it) saves battery life also.

Well since it's a company phone, get permission from your boss to see if you can change the rom. Cooked rom's battery life has a dramatic difference to a stock rom. Dutty's upcoming v4 rom is suppose to greatly improve battery life, and speed. I used Schap 4.31 the radio is my signature, battery last me pretty long. Introduce the rom flashing concept to your boss to see what he has to say.

I have the TILT, and I don't see the option to switch from 3G to GSM. Is schap's comm manager the only way I can do this? Is there an option in KaiserTweaks?

Yes, hey look into Schap's new Advance Config 2.0, it's has a Comm Manager tweak section, which allows you to add that option.

But you should really look into it, do a search, because I am not really sure if it works with your Comm Manager. And you should turn HSPDA off also, if you can't use it.

I downloaded this one.

It's Dutty's. I installed it. Are there any other ones? This one works fine, but there are no pictures or anything, it's not very user friendly.

Well first off which rom are you running? :)
Here's a link for Comm Manager 2.0.0.0 which Schap's used in his rom:

I had to download Kaiser Comm manager to fix my problem...

now i'm scared, can someone walk me through on how to back up my phone and it's settings?

Well, earlier I suggested that you read through the post, and do searches. Your installing cabs, before understanding them. That's why I ask first of what's your rom.

i'm just running a stock ROM on my tilt.

How do I back up my phone so if something happens I can revert back.

Well you can't actually revert back unless in might be in your add/remove programs or you hard reset.

Now under your band tab, you don't see:
Select Your Network Type:
Auto
>GSM
WCDMA

...at all?

It's a stock ROM...Play with all the cabs you want! You'll probably have to hard reset, but then you just have to start over again from the stock ROM. The only thing that sometimes can't be undone revolves around flashing/unlocking.

& if you use sprite backup, which came on the device, you can indeed "revert" back to where you were before some cab f'd you up.
