I would like to know what are the good headsets available for kaiser where the sound quality is great without any call drops and static and which is compatible with dutty's v3 :).
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have tried several headsets (sony 980, Motorola 820, and Jabra 8010) and have settled on using the jabra set as my primary set because it is more comfortable then the 820, and does NOT have drop issues like the sony 980. the moto set works verY well but i found the wrap around uncomfortable. I'm using Dutty's v2 currently.

The Jawbone is the best headset on the market IMHO. Works phenominally with the TILT.

I have 3 headsets. 2 of them are incredibly quiet, even at full volume. The 3rd is a Jawbone. It is actually painfully loud, but sounds great, to me and to the other person on the phone. I would go for that.

I've used this headset for about a year, first with an Eten x500 and now with the tilt. Performance has been near perfect. On the tilt, I've never had a dropped signal while playing music, sound quality is decent, works with MS voice command. I don't know much about the manufacturer or support as I haven't had any issues with the device.

Another vote for the Jawbone. Works great. Also can attest to the performance of the Sony Ericsson HBH DS980 stereo headset. Works great as well...but you need the bluetooth extensions from JetWare to get it to do almost everything....phone book transfer doesnt work but everything else is there.

The Motorola S9 is extremely sexy and the Audio quality is great. I got mine off ebay (new, sealed for 40 bucks with ship), cause I was told they only come included with certain Motorola phones?
Anyway, that what I would recommend :)

I think the OP requested information on the 'best bluetooth *headphone*'. The Jabra 8040 seems to be a headset, and seems to only able to answer phone calls and not play music, as one ear is left uncovered and void of hearing any sound.

Plantronics Voyager 855.
Better than the S9's I've had. Better than the HS820 headphones.
Awesome as a regular BT headset. Semi-noise reduction and even EQ sound as a stereo A2DP headset.

I've have Blueant Z9 with firmware 3.4 and it works very well with my TyTn II on Q-Mobile 1.2 for when I'm in the car. I also have a Plantronics Voyager 855 that works great when I want to listen to music and make calls and don't need as much noise reduction.

Yes, try going to the Jabra site and reading about it before jumping to conclusions. Here's the link

How is the headset volume with the Z9? I'm using the Jabra 8040 and it has adequate volume for most situations, but could be louder. From what I've read, BT volumes with WM6 are substantially lower than devices running WM5.

I have the original TyTN II ROM and use the jawbone. I have noticed several times that the recipient of my call cannot hear me. I have to disconnect and redial and usually that works. Is this a Jawbone issue or a TyTNII issue? I don't believe I have the same problem with my Nokia bluetooth.. are there any known issues with the bluetooth connection on the TyTnII?
Thanks in advance,

Calm down. Then my suspicions were correct, you can only listen to music through one ear. This is hardly adequate music listening capabilities. I prefer headphones which can receive calls and enable me to listen to music through both ears so as not to have that ubalanced feeling.

Hey People,
the last 3 months i was at the service 2 times a week. The Kaiser with SE HBH-GV435 is s**t!
The serviceman told me last week, that a should buy a Jabra, or Plantronics headset. They are universal, but SE headsets work only with SE phones, etc.
So i wonder if any can help me: JABRA 5020, or PLANTRONICS 510?
The second problem (?): last week the serviceman uploaded a BT-patch for Kaiser. The sound quality is definitly better than before. Maybe the serviceman left the cab on the device. Can anybody check the 2 files if i upload it, if it is a patch? I'm not sure. Maybe this can help everybody!
where can i create a directory on the ftp? can't upload. :(
the name of the 2 files i found: Kai06492.cab and Xtra.bin

Sorry about that. My son had me irritated this morning I hadn't gotten over it by the time I typed that message.
I prefer the one ear headset only because the headphones restrict normal hearing when wearing them. Too each their own I guess.

Loud A2DP, a chimera, an uncatchable dream still, even if we are walking towards the end of the first 2K decade.
I've tried a lot of them, wasted a lot of money, all of them were dull, low volumed craps of silicon got me everytime going back to wires.
But now I discovered something really worth mentioning. It's not 100% perfect but yes it's 96% perfect (I had Motorola S705 and i'd give it 20%), loud, clear and screaming.
Gentlemen it's Nokia's BH-500. 3.5mm audiojack for your fave earphones and loud loud LOUD.. Espec on my kaiser this thing rocks. It's almost like listening to Pocket Music wired something like a volumeclick down no more..
After everything been through I HAVE to spread the good news guys. No more wasted money on A2DP. (They should allow testing before you buy but they don't. If they did I'be rich :))
I'm looking for non-wired now. I'll give BH-503 a try (princess Leia kindastyle). It's new to the market and I trust Nokia in the sound dept. (N91 is the best and loud MP3 player ever ever) so I'll keep you informed..

I bought the Motorola S9. Sound quality was ok but I kept hearing noise, like static. If I had the voume all the way up I didn't notice it much, but whenever there was a quiet part in the music, I'd hear the buzz of the background noise. Really annoying, so I sent them back. I loved how they were designed though, small, lightweight, but I wish they worked better. Any suggestions for another headphone set to try?

I haven't had much luck with a headset that fits my ear properly, and is loud enough.
On a whim i bought a Moto H375 at Costco with wall and car charger (std mini USB) for $40.
I can charge it from any standard mini USB cable
It fits and stays in my ear
It is so loud I often have to turn the phone volume down
Battery life is good
It has some kind of auto pairing, so all you have to do is turn it on and tell your device to search. I didn't have to fumble with some odd button press to put the headset into a pairing mode. Both my Tilt and BB 8310 found it immediately ... laptop too.
When my phone rings I actually hear my ringtone in my ear ... not some generic bleep bleep sound.
It worked fine with MS Voice Command, without any hacks, with the current STOCK AT&T ROM, does name announcement just fine.
My only complaint is that the ear hook isn't super comfortable if you wear it for longer than an hour ... but then I don't walk around like a drone all day wearing one anyway.
for $40 it certainly is worth checking out.

Just got a Motorola S805 Stereo Headset - DJ style, full earcups.
Fabulous sound, comfortable, simple and intuitive controls. Works great with Bluetooth, and also has a wired plug-in option. No hiss evident at all during music playback, mild hiss when using VoiceCommand.
Volume is good-to-overwhelming, easily controllable with a twist.

i'm partial to the plantronics voyager 510. can be a bit tricky to slip on quickly, but absolutely the most comfortable headset i've ever used, and audio quality is very good. it's also one of the smallest headsets so you don't look like a complete buffoon wearing it.

While the Moto S9's were very good for A2DP for me, they were awful for the normal headset use. The sound is in one ear and the quality for people at the other end was terrible. I received so many complaints about background noise.
I did have the Jawbone which excel at this but the in ear quality was not very good and did not go loud enough.
I now use Samsung WEP-410 (£15/$30 off Ebay) in conjunction with the S9's and love them both. WEP410 is very light and comfortable and people are amazed that I am using a BT headset, plus in ear quality is excellent and goes very loud should I need it. Highly recommneded if you don't need the near silent noise cancellation of the bulky Jawbone.

I have tried both the Jabra JX10 series 2 and the i Tech Clip Vibrate. Been using Dutty's roms(latest one is the 6.1 rom).
The Clip Vibrate works very well, especially with voice command. JX10 also works fine, but needs a longer press to activate the voice command. Have not used either for music as they are both mono earpieces.
YMMV

Same here, the Motorola S9 has pretty good sound quality and fit firm in your ears. Sitting in the office using it for extended time require a recharge everyday but for working out or running, this is the perfect headset paired with the Tilt.
I also use the Plantronic P590. A little bulky but capable of various hookups (bluetooth, adapter for headphone jack connect). Battery life is great. I can listen for a few days in the office before charging.
The Sony HBH-DS970 is a pretty sweet headset as well. The controller hangs around your neck and the digital readout display all activities including incoming caller id. I upgraded to the S9 only because the HBH-DS970 is not idea when working out or jogging.

I have nothing but good things to say about my Jabra 620s headset. Well, almost nothing...
First of all, it's affordable - I bought it for $30 (and one for my gf) on Tiger Direct in November. The sound quality is fantastic for listening to music, and I love hearing people on the phone in both ears. I'm also heard crystal clear on the other end, and I've had trouble hearing people on Motorola BT headsets in the past.
Furthermore, the range and battery life are stunning! I usually keep my phone in my pocket, but sometimes forget it when I go downstairs. It's pretty static-y two floors down, but the fact that it doesn't lose the connection is impressive. As for the battery, I plug it in every week or so just because I assume it needs it - I talk for 1-2 hours on the headset daily and it's never run out of juice in less than 5 or 6 days.
The drawbacks are the looks - I don't wear it in public. :) However, at least it doesn't have a mic boom like other models I looked at. Also, the default mode has these big round LEDs flashing constantly (as if they weren't nerdy enough) - luckily you can push and hold down both buttons for 5 seconds or so and disable the LEDs. Which brings me to my final drawback - the ginormous buttons. While convenient, I've accidentally hung up several times by either just glancing the headset with my hand when I'm scratching an itch or putting my hands behind my head. It's also easy to roll over and hang up on someone if you ever talk while lying on a couch or in bed.
Think that's it. I initially was going to get BT headphones and a separate headset, but I wouldn't consider it now - this satisfies both perfectly!

I have over a dozen headsets, I just keep buying them until I can find one that both sounds good to the other side of the call AND I can wear for 18 hrs a day.
The winner is:
The Sennheiser VMX100
I've worn it every day all day for 3 weeks now, zero discomfort and everyone I call says I sound like I'm sitting right next to them. A friend of mine got one yesterday so I got to hear her speak, and I just had to have her speak quieter, as it was really sensitive.
It has excellent noise cancellation too. I was in a torrential rainstorm in my truck which was very loud, but the person I was talking to couldn't hear the rain pounding my roof.
If you are bothered by the slightest pressure on/in your ear from a headset, then the VMX100 will please you.

I just got a Motorola HT820 Bluetooth Stereo Headphones and it is awesome paired with the TyTN II. You can control volume, skip tracks, play/pause and also answer calls with it. Absolutely recommended to all.
All media controls used with Windows Media or CorePlayer on the TyTN II works flawlessly. Sounds great too. Although i'd preffer a lil more bass.
Still a good buy though!

Just got a Blue Ant Z9. Have not used it much yet, but it is very comfortable. My ear is very sensitive and I can adjust it so that it is barely noticeable. The few calls that I made, I had to turn the volume down because it was very loud and the person on the other end said it sounded very good. The controls are very easy to use. So far, it paired very easily to my Tilt and call quality was very good. I have yet to test the noise canceling feature in a car or in the wind, but I put my head next to a noisy computer fan and the person I was calling noticed no sound other than my voice. I will try to report more on that...
The one problem that I have, and it happened with a Motorola H700 as well, is I have to restart Bluetooth sometimes on the phone to get the voice dialer to work if I have turned the headset off and then on again. I suspect this is a BT issue with the Kaiser phone and not the headset.

These were £19.99 last week in Thurrock, Lakeside.
Brand - Kit-locker
Good points - cheap
Bad points
horrible tiny power plug, bit like a nokia 770
loses pairing everyday. (I've had it a week now)
When it works, it is fine, but re-pairing almost every time I use it,and sometimes switching between call and music is a pain.

I tried several headsets when I first got my Tilt and finally settled on the Jabra 8010. It's better then the Motorola headsets and the A2DP compatibility fixes most of the MP3 and voice alert issues I was having. With the 8010 I don't have to use any registry edits like BTAudioToggle and it has the added feature of a built in phone book and caller ID so I don't have to even take the phone out of my pocket to manually dial most of my calls or see who is calling.
