JUST a question

When you dump a rom...does it contain all you personal data like contacts and mail/sms...and if yes in which parti of the DSK1 partition are they contained??

I know that maybe it is a stupid question...but I need to know this thing before upload my original VOX Italian dumped ROM.

ahahah ok thanks my personal TUTOR!! ;) I've already uploaded it to a hosting service now I think I will upload it to the XDA FTP...maybe create a new folder called VOX which strangely doesn't exist...


P.S:But where are the personal contacts and sms/mail stored??..cause I'm sure the aren't in the external SD...?????

They are stored in pim.vol and cemail.vol I think.

eheheh...excuse me ...another question...
what will happen if i restore a spreite backup (full backup every option checked) in a cooked rom??
I mean...i think some reg keys are not the same..some other does not exist enymore and there will be others that in prevoius rom weren't.

So what will happen...with custumizations,configs, installe progz and other settings?? Probably what you will get is an unstable and unpredictable state of the SP???

Exactly :D You can restore from a previous version of a cooked rom to another (and still some little things could be wrong..) but I wouldn't do it from an official to a cooked one. Too many fixes to be done after flashing I think. It would be even less annoying to reinstall everything on your phone.
