Using this on HTC HD2 and working great.

However: sometimes after the watch and phone disconnect (I leave the room and the phone stays in there) they do not connect automatically when I return. Longest time I waited was 15 minutes (did not re-connect automatically).

After pressing a button on the watch it does reconnect.

Is this a phone issue or a smartwatchM issue..?

so juste extrac the zip and simply remplace in the program file the smartwatch m.exe to this smartwatchM.exe files !!!

I have upgraded my tg01 to 6.5 build 21840.5.0.60, and now have problems with the watch.
the watch will only connect to smartwatch after a soft reset, and if disconnected by a call will not reconnect again until a soft reset.
The watch however can connect but with no info, possibly inbuilt software support,
however i cannot see the reg entry HKLM\Services\btwatch, change IsEnabled from 1 to 0
or anything else that looks anywhere near it.
Any help would be great as I miss my watch!

This ROM probably includes the BT watch support, just under different name. The best would be if you could send me exported registry keys - HKLM\Services and HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Bluetooth (or all registry if you have not entered any personal info to the device). (You can use Resco Registry Editor or Task Manager from dotFred.)

Got my HD2 yesterday and hooked it up to my mbw-150. Everything works perfectly. However I have a small problem. I would like to use caller ID logos but I can't seem to find a programm to convert bitmap or gif files into Nokia Operator Logos. Could someone please do a write-up on how to convert the logos.

Figured it out. There is no need to use NOL logo's. I took a 96x16 bitmap and renamed it to the phonenumber I wanted to use and copied it to the smartwatchM folder. And guess what... it works.

The date format can't be changed.
Only one screen can be translated ("Customize Messaging Screen").

It's in the FAQ!
The picture must be in Nokia Operator Logo format (.nol, 72x14) or monochrome BMP (.bmp, 96x16, 1 bit).

It varies... It can be 10 meters or next room but sometimes the disconnects just because of your body.

i have no problems with the SMS i can even read on my watch it in hebrew, left to right (when the watch is connected and not giving me the error message).
i disabled the SMS notifications only as u suggested:

1. yes, see my pic of the error screen.
2. don't know. from where i stand...random. some times a few seconds after the start of the program and sometimes a hour or more later. can not tell what's the trigger.
3. no connection with messages. i very rare receive/send messages.
4. i use hebrew support only. custom wince.nls file. all interface is english. only calendar and tasks are in hebrew. not even contacts.
5. the rom is the 1.48 original ROM that came with the device/HD2. i did not unlock it and of course did not flash it with a any custom ROM.
6. i intend to unlock it and install a cooked ROM (kwbr's) tomorrow (it is already today lol!). i'll tested in english only for 2 days.

1. the error message changed a little (see old and new error message attached).
2. this time the program keeps working even after the error message. the watch is connecting and working even after the error message appear.
i attached the screen shots "before" and "after".
i begin to believe that everything goes wrong after i restore my PIM (tasks and calendar are in hebrew).

You have set up Incoming Serial port on COM7. This is the problem. Do you use it for anything? You have to disable the port otherwise the watch won't connect with smartWatchM.
To do that, delete this port from Bluetooth manager (there should be tab named Ports) or delete the registry key (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Bluetooth\S erial\Ports\Incoming) and restart your device.

I have the MBW100 now for quite a time and my first phone was a SEW700 or something like that, where I was able to command my musicplayer with the watch using smartwatch.

Now I have the X1 for more than a year and I found my watch again. Downloaded the latest version here from Smartwatch and pairing went ok. I now see the complete textmessage which is great, but when I press the big button on the right side of my watch, the "PLAY/PAUSE" sign is in my watch but nothing happens. Can I still use my watch for playing music having the X1?

First of all, thanks for this great app!

Secondly, I encountered one flaw today. Somehow SmartWatchM crashed and closed itself without giving any notice.

Unfortunately, it took my MBW-100 along. The watch's still stuck with displaying the last caller in the dimmed mode, and I can't get the watch to do anything. Only analogue is working, the display part seems to be completely stuck.

As using the procedure for resetting the watch prescribed in the manual isn't possible right now, I am wondering whether waiting for the battery to go down would be the only way out. Does anyone know how to reset the watch?

I've had exactly the same problem with my MBW-100. Mainly because my HTC Universal with WM5 likes to crash quite often (or the battery goes dead!).

However, I didn't ever have the effect that the watch was stuck 'forever' until the battery runs down.

Just re-start smartwatchm and hopefully it re-connects and that should sort out the watch display. That's how I get my watch back up and running with smartwatchm.

There are no connection problem with the cooked ROM. Unfortunately some cooded ROMs include non official messaging app that makes smartWatchM crash when reading e-mails/sms. No problems on official ROMs.

I tried restarting, but with no effect. In fact, I couldn't reconnect, because key presses were being ignored by the watch. After all, I decided to wait for the battery to run down, but somehow I hit a button combination I probably never had hit before, and the watch started to respond again.

I have the mbw-100 and I use your software because it is the most stable, but as you mention using any of the extra features are a little clunky with this watch. I was thinking of possibly making my own version that was aimed at the mbw-100 only but have very little idea where to start. I have made phone applications before but how on earth did you figure out how to connect to the watch and how to pick up the signals etc?

If you wanted to send me a small portion of your code I wouldnt complain :P but any advice would be really appreciated. I wouldn't mind sharing any code I come up with if you wanted.

That ROM, cooked by me obviously, should have no problems working with your watch. I personally own a MBW-150 and it works great with it :)

As far as I know, there are no 'unofficial' messaging clients being developed. They all come from HTC or MS. The only problem might be, ROMs using Sense 2.5, as they have a new messaging app (only for SMS/MMS) developed by Jataayu for HTC. However, that app still injects messages in the standard winmo database as they come in (or out). So it shoudnt be a problem, theoretically.

Suit's not you that encountered the problem, it's a major problem with some se watches you will have to return it to an authorized se dealer and get a new one look here (http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=131955&start=525) for more details on the 'dim display problem' it happened to me with my mbw-100, I sent it back to se and after 15 days I got a new watch back.

The following info is what I get on my watch:
caller (option to silence or hang up) and caller list
new email and sms notifications and ability to read
new voicemail notification
next appointment
signal level
battery level

Important to note that hiding the program froze my phone, minimizing it didn't. As well, if there are a lot of unread emails, it takes quite some time to load the info to the watch when checking for messages...so I keep my emails read in order to speed up the load time for new emails and sms.

This combo is kick ass...and all thanks to your development of smartWatchM!

Hello, I am debating on what my next step should be, and would appreciate a bit of help.

I just received my new LM960 bluetooth bracelet in the mail over the weekend. I see that the LM959 is supported, and I have tried getting the smartWatchM software to work with it, however the app just crashes on my Touch Pro2 every time I try to connect. Not to mention, the bracelet seems to have paring issues a lot of the time. Is anyone going to be adding support for this bracelet to the app, or should I switch over to one of the Sony watches?

Hello, I finally received my new Sony MBW-150 from FedEx yesterday and have been playing with this great app! I am having an issue that I hope someone can help me with.

I am using a Verizon TP2 with the latest MightyRom (2-4-10). I can get the watch to detect and pair with my phone via bluetooth without any problems. However, I cannot consistently get the watch and software to connect. However, when it does pair the phone tells me "There were no services we are interested in." Is this normal?

If I shut the phone off and then reboot it, the app loads automatically. Once it is loaded up, I try to connect to the watch. On the phone display I see "Waiting for connection. Press a button on the watch.", but when I try pressing any of the watch buttons, nothing ever happens. Randomly the watch will connect and it works great until I have to reboot my phone and then I am doing this all over again. And on occasion when I press a button on the watch, I get a bluetooth symbol with moving arrows on each side of it.

I have tried a master reset on the watch, deleting the watch from my bluetooth control panel and re-pairing it. Nothing seems to help. I can never get it to be as simple as boot up the phone, start the connection, and hit a button on the watch.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Is there a setting I am missing someplace? Thanks so much in advance!

It took a bit of searching, but I figured out the problem.

* There may be problems with watches using Serial Port profile (MBW-100/Abacus/Fossil and LM Technologies) on Widcomm Bluetooth Stack (HP, HTC Touch Pro2, Motorola...).
To fix this, you have to disable the default Bluetooth Serial Port service, to do that, change "HKLM\Software\Widcomm\BTConfig\Services\0001\Auto" from 1 to 0 and restart the device.

Too bad the Sony Ericsson MBW-150 I just ordered doesn't work. Opened it up charged it for about two hours, LED showed the battery charging than full, then unplugged it and the LED wouldn't come on. Tried all the buttons, read the manual, nothing. If the phone is connected to the charger it works fine, turned on Bluetooth and got it to work with SmartWatchM beautifully after the regedit. This is on a Touch Pro 2 by the way. Watch paired to the phone and connected I then unplug the charger and no go. LED dies as if the watch hasn't been charged. I assume MobileCityOnline, the vendor I bought the phone from has had these watches there a while (2007-08) and the battery must not hold a charge anymore. Oh well, sending it back for a new one on Monday.

But at least SmartWatchM works great.

I have a problem with Connection between Prada Link and a LG KS20 WM Phone.
I can connect both and it works very well, but if I put KS20 in Stand By modus, the conection brakes down, some seconds later KS20 wakes up from Stand By and connects to Prada Link, and if I put it in Stand By it loses the connection, wakes up and so on...
What can I do to garant the conections also, if my telefone is in the stand by modus?

I am not sure if it use ms stack, given that it does and u are using any of the new custom rom then you need to go

HKLM\Services > then something called BtWatch> just delete the key

or it might be in HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Bluetooth>Services>Btwatch>Delete

Sorry i dont have any handset with ms stack at this moment so cant confirm the location, but the key name is BtWatch, so just do a little search and delete the key.

It should work now.

it´s got only two buttons, so there it has little limitations...
Caller id shown only SIM contacts. not for outlook contacts, for outlook only number shown. No weather etc.

My issue is that I like to use BT handfree at work and thats why I did get that watch. (to see caller before I answer by HF)
But is there any way to connect two BT "handsfree" at the same time.
Cause the watch is paired as BTHF like is real HF too.

I have the same problem and sent my MBW 150 to the service center. But SE said that they can not repair this model because it is a obsolete model. I have the MBW 150 for less than two years and it can not be repaired? I can only understand that if I have bought it from road side. :mad:

Not necessarily a waste of space. If your battery runs low, the analogue clock may stop, but as long as you have some power left the digital clock will still work and show accurate time. Happened to me a few times, and I think that's useful.

I believe the rest you asked for is hardcoded into the watch, so sWM can't touch that. Personally I'd have liked the vibro pattern to be changed, but that's hardcoded too.

Edit: Finally got everything working, uninstalled after deleting key then reinstalled, worked then.

Only thing I cannot figure out is the option to customize the menu seems to work in the order, but I say for it to enable the first 5 items, but it will always show all of them on my watch.
The order finally was pushed to the watch after restarting the software completely, but I cannot seem to get it to hide the rest of the menu options.

I'm also getting a nasty amount of resources and battery usage. Checking in the task manager smartwatch is using 1439kb of ram, I wonder if it is simply my increased usage or is it simply polling the device too often.
I've toned down the settings on BT, disabled obex, joint stereo, lowered bitpool, and set default sample rate.

In the FAQ it says it's compatible with other players like CorePlayer (I tried that one) but it ain't working. Now is it because of the phone (TP2?) or maybe cause I don't have to use the "media controls" but some other magic?

So main question is: How to control other players and is this possible on the TP2?

I believe it's stored in the registry. You can use a registry editor to export the relevant keys and import them when you load a new ROM. You should be able to find them by searching the registry for "smartwatch" I think (I did that once, though I can't recall the exact location).

Hello. I have just recieved one of these watches and am using it with my HD2.

Seems to work ok apart from when I get a text, it says unknown sender and the phone then repeatedly crashes and disconnects from the watch. I then have to kill the application and start again or reset.

Try copy the whole smartwatchm folder to storage card before install the new rom, and copy back and overwrite the new files, after install the rom and the smartwatchm. You will see what settings you must take manually. (in the registry isnt too much info)

I'm using the HD2 & an MBW 150. It all works fine (minus weather ofc) but when I scroll using the custom menu, I have to press the two "volume" buttons, and whenever I press one of them the volume indicator shows up then I have to press the middle button to go to the corresponding menu.

Surely it would be easier to hide the "volume indicator" and when you press the two volume buttons it just navigates the menu directly, instead of requiring another press of the middle button?

Don't know what to tell you, I've been using the MBW-150 with Touch Pro 2 (Sprint) on the stock 6.5 ROM for awhile now and it's fine? Do you have a BT headset turned on? The watch sometimes disconnects when a BT headset is connected.

It sounds like your regedit may not be "taking", if it is only giving you call alerts. You should do the regedit, wait a few minutes, and then soft reset the phone by turning it off and on again (hold power button to turn it off, then wait a few seconds, then press it to turn back on).

Other than that...hard reset? Reset the watch? Not sure...

I'm glad to see someone else mention this. I always use a BT headset and my MBW-150 drops its connection roughly once a minute while on a call.

my girlfriend has slight problems with her HD2 and her MBW-200 controling the Manila MP3 Player.

If she enters the Media Player control, and stops the current track (she hearing an Audiobook at the moment), the player starts the playback on an previouly played track. It doesn't matter on which track she stops the playback, every time she resumes the playback, the player jumps back to this one specific track which has already been played. Within this track, the media Control works perfect, but if she changes the track, there is some missbehavior.

She is using version 1.2.5.1 as we could not get version 1.2.6.0 conntected to the phone without the "reghack" which caused the BT-Headset to not autoconnect.

Hope there is a chance to get this working.

Okay, I just downloaded WM Office 2010 and another program via the Marketplace, and since installing smartwatch doesn't work the way it should. It connects, but not in the way it did and my Link no longer loads anything from my HD2.

Is there a file that gets replaced by WMO 2010 that is necessary for smartwatch to function?

Okay, I'm in trouble.

I just did a hard reset of my HD2 just to get smartwatch working again.
Reinstalled everything to the point of last working setup with SW.
SW starts up, it connects to the Prada Link, but then... nothing. It won't load any data from the phone to the watch.

It used to be that SW said "connected", then three other lines of text which were too quick for me to remember, then put itself to the background.
Now, it just says "connected" and kinda sits there doing nothing more.

Could someone please help me figure out what has chaged and why it won't work anymore? Without the functionality the Prada Link is just an expensive watch.

That's why there's "not stable" in the compatibility list.

I have HTC Touch2, T-Mobile UK ROM, MBW-150 and SmartWatchM 1.2.5.1
I was trying to go through the forum and use search but could not find anyone with a similar issue. My problem is that Windows Media Control Mode does not work as much as I would expect it to. When I have WMP on and turn the mode on (Custom Control Started) on my watch, the "play" button only display's 'stop' on watch and nothing happens. Moreover, the increase/decrease volume option does not work - moves only in a very limited area in the middle, only two levels are possible to set. However, when I press the play button on the phone, it nicely displays the name of the interpret and the song. If I press stop/play on watch, it displays 'stop', WMP stops playing but it turns HTC Player on and strats playing next track. Therefore, this otherwise amazing function of the watch MBW-150 which I was using all the time on my P1i is now useless...
Any help?
Am I doing something wrong?
Is there any chance to control it through the userfile or something?

Got one succesful notification, and the problem's back again.
Strangely the Prada Link always connects, but cannot load anything from the phone.

Something makes me wonder whether it is indeed instability between the Link and smartwatch, as opposed to problems between smartwatch and the HD2.
Smartwatch has crashed once or twice, and it's always smartwatch, not the Link, that behaves differently when problems arise.
It doesn't minimise when connecting or turn bluetooth off when Exiting, which seem to me to be functionalities of the program itself, not the link between the watch and the program.

Has anyone tried the HD2 with a different watch, and does anyone have these problems as well?

Hello, I just found an issue with my Xperia X2 and MBW-150 Executive. I have installed the latest update for the phone and then installed smartWatchM (i've been using it for quite some time) and paired my watch, then the watch got completely drained, with absolutely no battery left in just 5-6 hours. I have read quite some stuff, but culdn't find the right solution. I am using my watch quite extensively, so I would appreciate some help.

My Windows Version is: 6.5.2.21891
Radio SW Version: 6.5.6026

No custom ROMs Used.

I'll try to comprehensively state my problem.

Stock NL ROM, 1.66
Disabled WIDCOMM settings as per the FAQ.
Used 1.2.5.1 and 1.2.6.0
Have cookie's home tab running smoothly.

Have been able to use smartwatchm for a couple of months at first without trouble.
At some point in time, suddenly things changed to SW connecting to the Prada Link, where a connection is made but SW doesn't minimise, doesn't show the quick three lines it used to before minimising, and loading data isn't working (watch shows "loading..." perpetually).

Hard reset of phone, reinstall, same problem. Suddenly, normal behaviour resumes once (connected, three lines, minimises) until the first email-warning, then problem resumes.
Have been unable to fix it with numerous reinstalls and phone & watch off-on again.

Funny detail: after reinstalling SW, it always starts with "Device: Prada Link" even though I did not specify the device. No pairing done yet, but SW still "defaults" to the Prada... I wonder if settings are saved even after uninstall?


I understand the Prada Link is listed as unstable, but it seems there is something that is now fixed in settings or registry or even in the watch that disables normal function.

I would truly appreciate any help in this matter.


EDIT: Am removing all registry keys that are left after uninstall of smartwatch to see if that will help...
After removing registry keys, default after reinstall is SE MBW-150.

EDIT2: Same problem. Watch pairs. Watch connects. SW does not minimise, does not show 3 lines, no loading data to watch. In essence, no functionality whatsoever.

Thanks.I am using 5 different watches with my X2 with the latest MR2 update R3A no problems at all, only the mbw-150 executive had a few problems pairing and i reseted the watch, charged it for one night and in the morning it paired, ever since then (for 2 weeks now) the watches work perfectly with the new firmware battery life is over a week with all watches. try reseting your watch and then charge it over night 8 hours, delete from bt manager. and try to use it again

Okay, hard reset of the HD2. Performed basic first setup, changed Widcomm registry key, installed smartwatch before anything else. Reset Prada Link, paired through SW, no problem.
Then connected... and everything works.

Now I'm going to install all my programs one by one with the connection active to see whether I can find the culprit behind all the problems I've been having.

But as Windows Mobile is getting a bit old (and I don't want to migrate to Google Android), I'm looking for alternatives.

What's your current opinion about webOS (Palm Pre)? Your last post about that was one year ago.... Any chance you might support that?

Moneytoo, thanks, the app is great. It took me a while to get it synced at first but I think I finally figured out how to pair them up with little fuss.

A few observation(s): Using TF3D music player the track name doesn't automatically update. Not sure if this is by design or not. If I FF or RW it will update. Also could you change the function of the play/stop button to pause instead? Whenever I use the button it always goes to the first track I started playing; very annoying (also mentioned by someone else way back).

There was something else but it slipped my mind...

Hello moneytoo, I've been enjoying and showing off this wonderful program for a while, it's truly amazing.
I have a problem with the Prada watch and HD2, everything connects good, the sms and email alerts work good, but when I get a call the watch starts to vibrate and does not stop, it does not show the caller ID either it only vibrates until I shut it off, any advice? I'm using the latest version with the stock WWE ROM.

no the watches last very long, i have a MBW-100 (the first bt watch from se) i have it for 4 years now! no problem at all! but the newer MBW-150 have had some problems with the oled display.....

Just got my MBW 150 today and after some difficulties to get it work on my HD2 I have to say that this is some really cool software!
Are there any chances to get the pigeon support for the newer versions?
I read it doesn't work anymore because Pigeon changed from txt to XML. But reading XML shouldn't be a problem and it also writes the message as soon as it arrives(at least in my test with the latest stable version 1.2.7.0). And there even is an api to get the number of new messages. Correct me if I'm wrong, but if you combine all of these, there shouldn't be any big problems to have pigeon support.

Hi, just a quick question for those of us who run bleeding edge roms (in my case, either EnergyROM "Leo" (23016) Oct 11, or Duttys Topaz WM6.5 LEO R5 Ultimate | OS 5.2.23016 Oct 11). It may apply to other WM6.5 with Manilla 2.5 roms. This is a topaz device, so doesn't have the widcomm stack problems.

I get smartwatchm installed, and connected OK, as I have done for a long time now, but when a new message comes in, I just get the envelope notification on the watch, then smartwatchm crashes, with a NullReferenceException (as detailed below).

Any thoughts (other than stop running 0-day old roms? I've tried both 1.2.4.2, and the beta 1.2.5.0 (20091012).

I'm hoping to get my hands on a MBW-150 soon. Here's one thing I would REALLY LOVE to be able to do with the watch... I would be willing to give a small donation is someone can make this work.

I use Google Voice which is a GREAT thing... but because I have call presentation on I've required to pull out of phone to press "1" to accept a call. This makes it a pain when I'm on the go, especially in a car.

Is there any way to setup on of the buttons when you are in a call to mimic pressing a "1" on the phone?

Thanks for the suggestion lesscro. I played around with MortScript a bit, but I'm not sure if I got it working right. Anyway, I found VJKeyPress by Vijay555 and was able to get that working just perfectly. I also was able to find a Classic on eBay, so I've got that coming soon I hope!

Here's my next question: smartWatchM is able to co-exist with other Bluetooth devices at the same time, right? If I have my BT headset running I can still run the BT watch program, right?

Give this a try:
Q: I can not connect MBW-150 to HTC Touch Pro 2, MDA Vario 5, HTC Touch 2, HTC HD2 (or other device with Widcomm BT stack).

Starting to become very frustrated...

Just got my mbw-150. After playing around a bit I was able to successfully get it to connect. Then I tried to edit the registry to add a userfile. After this everything seemed to fall apart and now I can't get my watch to connect anymore.

I've tried doing a master reset on the watch.
I've tried to delete the watch from BT manager and than repair (This works perfectly well...)

But no matter what I do, when I try to connect, it won't.

I start the connect on the phone, then press a key...

If I press the top right, it scrolls through a couple of things but doesn't connect.

If I press the bottom right I get the four menu options, but nothing makes it connect.

If I press any of the left buttons I will sometimes get this:

But again... it doesn't connect.

Anyone have any ideas at all?

Assuming you have a WM device, I would uninstall everything and check your registry for anything related to smartwatchm. You'll find something somewhere. Delete that from the registry and try to reinstall.

Now, here's my next task. I'm trying to find a way to send a '1' to the phone.

I'm using Google Voice with call presentation and I want to send a '1' to the phone to accept a call. I've tried a whole bunch of different methods and I can't seem to get anything to work perfectly.

I've trying MortScript but can't get a script that will work to send a one.

I've tried VJKeypress. This works great in AE Buttons where I can specify a parameter, but I can't get a shortcut that will send the code. I don't know why.

I've even tried to get MortScript to run VJKeyPress, but that won't work either. I have no idea what I'm doing wrong. Anyone have a suggest of a way to do with with a UserFile in SmartWatch?

No luck. As soon as I add a parameter to the end of the shortcut link it seems to stop working.

Okay... the good news is that I think I got it working. I've setup my link as userfile one, and when I long press the stop button, it sends the one and it shows up on my phone as if I just pressed it.

The bad news is that it does work! :mad: When I'm in a call if I long press the stop button the watch says that it's sending the command to run the link, but I don't hear it and my phone doesn't act as if the command has been sent.

So once again I've run into a road block.

If so, is it possible to swap these? I've got volume control on my head set, so I don't need that. But I'd like to be able to have easy access to next or previous track.

So I had a brain storm of a cool idea...

As I understand it, it's possible to have custom updates displayed on the watch. I was thinking the other day about something that would be extraordinarily cool, but far beyond my meager skills to create. Maybe there is someone out there would be interesting in playing around with it though.

The idea was sparked because we were out shopping during a baseball game. Periodically I would pull out my phone to check the score, but this was a bit cumbersome when you're carrying around packages, watching two kids, and commenting on if that dress looked good on my wife or if the other one looked better.

What would be nice is if there was a program that would scrape the score from a game based on a designated team and every 10 minutes flash that score as a text to the watching, including inning as well.

Anyone feel like a challenge?

Maybe it would be enough to use standard WM notifications. At least for soccer, there is an app, that displays scores in them. Newer pigeon versions and many other things could be supported as well that way.

Very good idea Raudi... A very simple search found SportsAlerts.com, which will send you text alerts to games with a lot of customization in when they are set. I signed up for the free service (text and data rates may apply of course) and subscribed to the Detroit Tigers. I have it setup to send me a score alert every inning. What I don't know is how the text will come... in particular I'm wondering how the formating will work and if I'll see enough info on the watch without having to open the text on my phone. We'll see tonight and I'll report back my findings.

you are wrong the watches display lasts for a long time so does the battery, I have all the line of watches and only 1 had the problem that you describe (fading display) the warranty was out and what I did was I '' photoshoped" the original warranty changing the dates and it got through the warranty se gave me a new watch they did not repair it. my first watch mbw-100 is 3 years old the battery is as it was when I bought it,the display also. try to ''photoshop'' a receipt from the watch changing only the date and send it to a se service center.and you will get a new watch, I bought all my watches from expansys www.expansys.com.gr with legal receipts and my tax number on the receipts, all I did was scan the receipt, then edit the date on the receipt, then print again and BINGO! you are back in the warranty.....!

when I bought my watch it had a guarantee for 1 year, when the display got dim it was 1 year and 21 days. I found it very hard to understand that for 21 days I would have a nice and shiny piece of useless junk, so my only way to get my watch back was the way i described above. and it worked! do you find it reasonable to pay 200 euro for a watch that did not have a scratch on it,and was not misused in any way to end up in the trash can? if anyone in this forum does not agree with me you have every right to do so. but in my opinion 21 days is not an excuse. when I bought my car a 5 years ago it had a 5 year warranty. when the car turned 5 years and 2 months it needed repair the car company did not charge me for the repair due to the fact that 2 months more would not make a difference. sonyericsson should have done the same.

Hi, just a quick question for those of us who run bleeding edge roms (in my case, either EnergyROM "Leo" (23016) Oct 11, or Duttys Topaz WM6.5 LEO R5 Ultimate | OS 5.2.23016 Oct 11). It may apply to other WM6.5 with Manilla 2.5 roms. This is a topaz device, so doesn't have the widcomm stack problems.

I get smartwatchm installed, and connected OK, as I have done for a long time now, but when a new message comes in, I just get the envelope notification on the watch, then smartwatchm crashes, with a NullReferenceException (as detailed below).

Any thoughts (other than stop running 0-day old roms? I've tried both 1.2.4.2, and the beta 1.2.5.0 (20091012).

Hi, I installed the new beta and after the stable version of smartwatch on Acer S200 (Neotouch). I have MBW-150 Executive.

Assuming you have a WM device, I would uninstall everything and check your registry for anything related to smartwatchm. You'll find something somewhere. Delete that from the registry and try to reinstall.

That worked for my problems with the Prada watch.At least for a little while.

I found a new MBW-150 for 80 euros and bought it.
It's charging now, but I'll hook it up to my HD2 later and finally have a stable watch to use for my notifications!

I'll hook up the Prada to my HD Mini, see if perhaps that behaves with a little more stability.

Big watch for Big phone. Heh. :D

Here's hoping I've found my match made in heaven.

I think I am going to have to scream.

First of all, the MBW-150 works perfectly with my HD2. Stable, far more functionality... Totally worth having such a large watch: it does everything I could want and then some.

Second, I hooked up the Prada to the HD Mini and had the same problem again. Annoyed, I just held the big button as if that would reset everything. To my surprise (yes, I am an idiot) this turned the Prada off. Turn it back on, everything works.
Which might have been the solution for my HD2-problem all along... D'OH!

Still, the MBW should be more stable in the long run and so, so much more functionality...

I guess I can now do Big Phone, Big Watch and Sleek Phone, Sleek Watch matchings. :D
Which is a rather geeky luxury to be sure.

Okay, so I'm running my SmartWatch 1.2.6.0 (the beta version) on a TouchPro2 running the stock 6.5.3 rom. I'm connecting to a MBW-150 with the white face, which I think is the "updated" version, yes?

Anyway, I'm geting to get 2-line Caller ID working. I have it checked in the 'Settings -> Other' area, but I still only get one line with big text on the watch. Is there something else I need to be doing? Is this a known issue at all?

this fully works with o2 stock rom , however i cant seem to get it to work with any new custom rom on my hd2.

it appears this is due to htc messages client being updated, i have tryed to install a older version back onto a custom rom however it still crashed.

any ideas? i really want to break free from a stock rom but i use the watch everyday and need this functioning

i can get it connect just fine on any rom i have tried (changing the registry key each time) however when i get a sms it crashes, which i think is due to the messages client .. or at least one file in it

i have installed older versions but still the problem remains (So some file must remain)

To bad that my MBW-150 Music-Edition has the brightness-problem. First everything was OK but now I can only read stuff if I am in a completely dark room. :(
Although this is a known Problem SE will not repair/replace it.

I recently got a new sonyericsson aspen unfortunately smartwatch does not work, sonyericsson has implemented the the 'original' support for the watch. I have tried to look in the registry to disable the comm port but there is no registry key to disable auto start of bt port . I have been using the watch with the original se support but I miss reading my sms on my watch and the 2 line caller id. is there any way someone can point me to the right registry key to disable the sony ericsson support for the watch?

use a stockrom and it will work fine , its the htc messages client (updated ones dont work with it) .. its annoying because i really want custom rom :(

which version of CHT you use, v2.0 the new one? Because the volume control is active also is the phone locked after time or with the lock button (bottom right). Ahh, i forget i have TouchTools installed, here from XDA. And at all not tested on the watch. Because my first one is broken by my work. The second is odered now :D.

AT second you have a search function here on XDA. This is not the place where the flying chicken comes along. Ok you have to pay nothing, but i think you can read, or? ;)

Here's latest beta version of smartWatchM that adds support for new BT watch, Citizen i:VIRT (http://citizen.jp/ivirt/). You can download the beta here: http://beta.smartmadsoft.com/ (nothing new for Sony Ericsson watches)
To use smartWatchM with the Citizen i:VIRT, your device have to use MS BT Stack and you have to pair through smartWatchM.
This beta includes only basic support for this watch - pairing, connecting/disconnection, reconnecting, time sync and Call/SMS/Email notifications. All the notifications are made through the Caller ID feature so no messages are stored on the watch. Normally this watch can receive and store up to 10 messages (70 characters in one message) which work with the SoftBank phones. I know how to use this feature but I cannot get it working right on both Windows Mobile and Windows XP on desktop (.NET) while it works fine in a Python script on Linux.
Does anyone of you have this watch?
