First of all. Alot of respect to Moneytoo for making this possible

Here are the test results.

Vibrate = working
Sms = working (first envelop and then 4 lines with new sms)
Email = working (first envelop and then envelop, no text)
MMS = working but new mms stays in screen and when you push the upper right button the text is fading a little and when you push button again it goes away and smartWachtm is clossing on phone (first envelop and the 4 lines with new mms, stays in screen)
Missed Call= only vibrates
Call start=working
Call end=working

Extra 2 line test = nothing

External time= working but stays in screen. When pressing the upper right button it displays mute symbol. And then time is comming back. When pressing the button twice its clossing the application on the phone again.

Call Graphics (my favorite ;-))= working, it displays to lines of the alpabet.

Out of range= working but only sound if phone is not in standby mode.

Whatever it runs as application or process, it's usual for .NET applications to have 1-3 MB. It's because ot the .NET libraries but since one application loads, another one share these libraries so it's not so bad.

When it's hide i can't go back to program.
There is button assigned to show/hide sWM but it works only with MBW-150. I will probably make some combination for MBW-100 as well.

I have tried everything to get smartWatchM to work but with my MBW-150 and T-Mobile Ameo but cannot get the required registry settings to "stick".

These registry values (class, channel) you've written aren't that important. Once you add the com ports, it shouldn't matter.

Latest version is still closing down due to "low memory" prevention on x800 while there's still 22'ish mb memory free.
Real annoying and nothing likes to solve it, after like 1 hour it gets closed down.
Maybe you can make it only the last x commands get logged?
I suspect the log gets to big and the app gets closeddown.

The log is automatically cut if it's longer than 1000 characters. Maybe you could try pcfixitman's btWatch if it's closing or not.

On my Touch Cruise with MBW150, there seems to be periodic connect-disconnect so I keep hearing the sound (sounds sweet though). I realise that this event minimises the camera application (I haven't tried others). I turned the sounds off, but the cam still gets minimised.

Important BT setting update!

I have just updated BT pairing & settings in the first post. Basicly there's really no need to set up Outcoming port. Enabling Authentication, Encryption values results in more stable watch-link. My connection is no longer interrupting when using WiFi. This should probably avoid accidental and out of the blue disconnections.

So here's info how you should update (the safest way):
1. Open sWM, disable autostart, Exit
2. Delete both incoming/outcoming ports
3. Delete BT watch from list of paired devices
4. Restart WM device
5. Master reset watch (recommended). It's in the manual (with MBW-150, enter pairing mode, then press&hold top right and bottom right keys until the display changes)
6. Follow the steps from 1st post. Some values are different (Authentication, Encryption)! So dont use the .reg files
7. When you finish the steps and start sWM, you may be asked again for passkey/pairing so just do that.

8. Report. :) Does it help? I hope so. If not, you're doomed. :p

OK I have done the process over 6 times and still get the same errors even after a complete hard reset. I think the problem is with the basic pairing of the watch. When entering the password for the first time, the watch shows it is connected then the Ameo says connection failed but does list the watch in the device list.

when the left buttons are pushed the watch displays the bluetooth logo with animated arrows on both sides <<<BT>>> but no connection is made.

Can anyone give me an idiots step by step guide to pairing?

What com ports have you tried to set? Only com6 or some other. Just try different numbers, on some machines not every port is available.

Com6 is available and sets up with no problems. I did have problems with COM5 in the previous versions but did manage to force it by hacking the registry.

Between trials I have been reseting to a backup I made on Friday.

I usually drop and place my phone at random locations in my flat so I don't find it when I'm in a hurry and really need to leave. You could make the phone give signals using the watch to quickly locate and find it. What do you think?

Please try this test function on MBW-100 / Abacus watches. Does it displays 3 lines? If you see these lines instead of "Test call", then it would be possible to send text informations using this function.

Wow that's awesome, I figure it's doing what it's supposed to, Each of the tests now seem to work email,mms,sms,missed call, now all show more information (2 line text). The extra's test menu also seems to work. This is really awesome.I can't believe you were able to throw that together so quickly.

Test results 0.1.6.3 on MBW100

First of all again alot of respect to Moneytoo and to pcfixitman's for making this possible.

With my SE W850i i had a few options and now more then i hoped for.
But now i want the MBW150 because of the more options:D

Here are my test results.

Everything is working.

There are some issues.

When autostart is enabled and i softreset then smartWatchM is loading with CompactFrameWork error. So i disabled autostart (i removed statup link)

Also there are 3 options thats shows when pressing (and hold) the middle button.
Email = working
Appointment working (but you have to wait until screen goes blank. Or not?)
Tasks = sometimes working sometimes not.
Weather = sometimes working sometimes not.

Maybe i'm not using it right. I press and hold the middle button and then wait until screen is blank. Is this the right way?

Weather i saw onetime until now

As promised, the updated REG file.
Tested on my WM6 device, worked out of the box.
As usual when creating virtual com ports: after you haXX0r3z teh r3g1s7ry !!!ONE!!11! oh, sorry got a little bit excited about the latest version, anyway, after you edited the registry/merged the reg-file, check the bluetooth manager, if the com port has been added and then softreset/reboot the device. The com port is not created for real until the device had to reload the registry = reboot/softreset.

Updated procedure:
Follow instructions in Post #1 of this thread. But instead of editing the registry, just open/merge the file in the attached zip-archive with a registry editor on your device.

Here is a revised version of my app for the Smart Phone (also works on WM5/6 PPC).

I altered the way it initially connects with the watch to help ensure full connectivity. I also added responses to a few commands that should help connect with the MBW-150 and set the time properly. When you receive new SMS or Email it will display the number of unread email/sms messages on the screen. Planning for the future, I also added "Status and Scrolling" under the test menu to display a quick status of email/sms in the phone and an attempt at scrolling text.

I'm hoping that someone will test with MBW-150, as I do not have one, but want the app to be compatible. Just unzip it to your phone and run it.

Multiple people have asked about using the watch simultaneously with a BT headset. Has anyone tried with a BT stereo headset? I'm not sure if there'd be a difference but this would be a great addition to my daily kit - I'm often walking around with my headset but my phone is buried in a pocket. When I get a call I just take it without knowing who I'm going to get. Also, I'd often like to know the name of the track that's playing and what that reminder that I just heard was actually for.

When I was searching for a new second phone (or symbian software) for my watch yesterday I found this interesting topic and immediately started testing with my HTC Touch and MBW-100 and it works perfect.
First I could not understand what you meant with "volume bar on the watch" but then I remembered that the MBW-150 had some extra keys.

You have to press&hold the middle button to show the info, every time you hold&press it goes to the next function. If you want to go back to the first function (message info), you need to press the middle button (don't hold).

@moneytoo: At first, THANKS you did a very good job.

Second, I found a small bug. When you have had all functions (after RSS) and then press&hold, the watch doesn't show anything anymore and you need to press shortly to begin again, maybe you could do that automaticaly, so you go back to the first function when you press&hold again. And maybe you can give this function a memory, so that if you didn't press&hold for more then, let's say, 1 minute and then press again that it uses the last used function. That would be nice for the users that use 1 function more then once a day.
Another suggestion is to add a settings menu where you can choose which functions to scroll trough.

I also have an other question is it meant to minimize all applications when press the top richt button 2 times when there is some information on the screen.

Only RSS says there are no feeds but the phone says 14 Headlines.

I must say that i created the today RRS myself because it was not enabled by itself. Does somebody knows the registry entries?

On my phone the clock will almost always loose the connection with the phone when I call someone or answer using my bluetooth headset. I think that it should work so I could be that I am running WM 6.1 beta and a newer radio on my Tytn II. But the bluetooth function i so much better in the WM 6.1 beta so I will not flash WM6 again to try :)

I'm still working on better connection and now on new menu (bit more than just a reordered list, optimized for both 150 and 100).

Don't panic. Just turn off BT and restart. Remove the partnership in ActiveSync / WMDC.
Virtual COM over BT should broke cable synchronization with pc.

If you can't connect the watch to Kaiser, just master reset the watch. It's in the manual. Then pair againt with Kaiser (no need to edit registry again, it should wourk just like that).

functionality is moving fast. the only thing i can see from all of these post is the instalation problems.

moneytoo: there comes a time with any product that you must draw the line on features. the list of things this can do is masive. but you do need to work on the UI and install. i say product because i would gladly set up a web site and sell this with the BT watches.

if you sort this out i would gladly pay you atleast $20 for this app.

Here's the latest version of my application for MBW-100 (may work with other models). Currently at version 0.1.2

I pretty much rebuilt my original application from the ground up to make the software easier to use and make it more practical for the addition of new features.

This version currently supports the following:

1. Pairing of a new Watch directly through the app (added support for different pins).
2. Establishing communication with an already paired Watch.
3. Creates a registry key (HKLM\SOFTWARE\btWatch) for device setup and options.
4. Options Menu to enable/disable features.
5. Current Options: CID, SMS, EMAIL, VIBRATION and Number of rings to Vibrate on.
6. Fully functional incoming call notification (name/number + vib for n rings)
7. Notification of incoming Text Messages.
8. Notification when new Email arrives.
9. Digital Date and Time are synchronized with the phone.
10.Added debugging mode to allow you to see behind the scenes for testing purposes ("Monitor Connection")

Setup is fairly simple. Extract the 2 files from the zip to a folder on your phone and run btWatch.exe. On 1st use select menu->setup->add watch. If your device has been paired click search, otherwise set watch to pairing mode then hit search. Select your watch from the list and click connect. Once this has been completed you will only need to press the connect button in the lower right on future use of the app.

To use it after the device has been setup simply click connect and press the button on the watch used to display the date. The watch should vibrate after a vew seconds and the date/time will also be updated. You can change options at any time whether the watch is connected or not. There is a test menu so that you can check that Call/SMS notifications are working as well as enable debugging mode. When you are happy with your options you can click the x in the upper right to minimize the app and use your phone as usual (with the added benefit of your bluetooth watch).

Anyway, I hope you all like the new version! Please let me know if it works with your watch and also let me know what make/model of watch you have (and version of WM) so that I can ensure that the software is compatible with all of them.

Edit: Recompiled app so that it should work with WM5, WM6 and Smart Phones. Made a minor change which should allow MBW-150 to connect, but will need to be tested. Also added cab installer (not for Smart Phone).

No one's forcing you to use this version. You may use older version of sWM or pcfixitman's btWatch. I release updates to gather either possitive or negative reports.
But the quick hide/unhide feature is really missing so it will come back. The work is still in progress (and I'm aware of problems with appointment notify, hidden caller...).

Is it possible sWM "Start AND Connect" without "Autostart" (start after each SoftReset) Option ?
In other words, I want to start sWM and the Program change DIRECT into "Connect" Mode.
Reason:
I only want to start AND connect sWM if I changed into "Phone & BlueTooth" Profile (with SBSH PhoneWeaver / PhoneAlarm "Help).
SBSH PhoneWeaver is a feature implement to start Programs WITH a specially Profile.
Today sWM start after each SoftReset unimportant "BlueTooth or Phone GSM" is activated.

Now you want to make sWM to start, go into connect mode and hide itself because you basically want something like a Phone-Bluetooth-sWM button which would turn on BT, launch sWM sort of in the background, so the watch could automatically connect without buggin you, right? I guess we could ask moneytoo to implement command line options to set some switches and trigger actions when launching the app, right, moneytoo :D?

EDIT: While thinking about it, this is what a service usually does. And moneytoo already said he wants the program to run as a service at some point. I guess we just have to wait then...

Actually, I personally own only Windows Mobile Standard (S730, Qtek 8500) but I have access to several other devices (WM Standard / Professional). But the only problem is time. I had only some time to test it on HTC Kaiser (no problems). So maybe later...

This was problem of one or two previous versions. Since 0.1.6.0, all event handlings are set correctly (as it should be) and it wont drain your battery. There's nothing more I can do with this, it all depends on the WM system (BT and COM port handling).

After restart/turning on, sWM is set to launch automatically, autostart and auto hiding (which basicly is running on background as a service). I dont have to press single button. I just wait a minute to connect automatically or press one button on the watch.

After restart/turning on, sWM is set to launch automatically, autostart and auto hiding (which basicly is running on background as a service). I dont have to press single button. I just wait a minute to connect automatically or press one button on the watch.

it is just the connexion sound, another time it sounds juste when i switch on the phone
it appened 2 times for me so at theses moments i can't tell you if it was disconct or not

for the probleme of hiden incoming another thing that might help
a long time ago (why my qteck 9090) i had the first BT headset of SE with display
and sister is alway hiden number , and what was the surprise that his number was displayed on the headset and "private" in the phone !!!
so i think that the number is never hide it is juste a "command" that tell to the destination phone not to display number.

regarding to the apointements
there is a smal big probleme
ok it displays and vibrate ...at time !
so imagine
i have a apointement a 15h to the doctor that i forget
and the watch vibrate at 15h ... you understand
so could it be possible that the watch only display the appointement that have "alarm reminder" that will make watch vibrate at the same time than the alarme reminder (1 hour or more as it has been chose on the apointment)

I am currently running pcfixitmans app but it kills my MBW-150 battery in a day. I realy want to run Moneytoos application but I cannot get my Ameo and watch paired.

I keep trying to follow these instructions

I can only give you few tips:
- delete every signle BT device/COM port you have in BT manager
- in WM5, no registry hacks are needed, just pair devices and add incoming port (check secure connection)
- sometimes the watch refuse to connect and you have to make master reset - so just make master reset (it's in the manual, it helped me few times)

I have just bought MBW-100 3 hours ago, and have been trying to pair with my touch since but I couldnt. I have paired but everytime the apps starts, warning messages appear. I have changed the com port from com7 to com5, (I was using a gps receiver from com7 which I have to re-pair it again) but no hope. I have installed btwatch and the other one as well but btwatch crashes in the Opening scene. Pls some one who made this watch work with touch or any other WM6 Pro device, help!!!! Private calls are still problem in MBW-100 with Touch Dual. no warning on the phone, after the call finishes, it displays a missed call notification by vibrating. can we also change the format of the date? e.g dd-mm-yyyy instead of yyy-mm-dd

4. Settings/Connections/Bluetooth/ Add new device
5. Turn on BT on watch

7. Enter passcode
8. Watch shows paired symbol
9. Turn off BT on watch
10. WM6 shows connection failed
11. Retry connection with no passcode

13. Import registry entries
14. Settings/Connections/Bluetooth/ Com Ports Check Incoming Port 6 exists
15. Reset WM6
16. Turn on BT on Watch

There's an application that attempted to do a similar thing, back in the day.. called the "Jetware bluetooth extension". I've got it loaded on my phone and it helps a little with the problems I was having. I have a car stereo that can display caller id, phonebooks, incoming SMS, etc and the jetware extension was supposed to do all that, but it doesnt. It looks like the developer just gave up on it over a year ago. I would pay good money for someone to make an application that will interface with my car stereo and display incoming sms/emails and judging by the amount of users of the old jetware extension a lot of other people would be interested as well.

A lot of people have GPS units that can display SMS, caller ID, make/receive phone calls etc.. if you guys can make this application more universal, and make it work with these devices as well (which I'm sure communicated the same way the Sony bluetooth watch does, through AT commands) you will have a lot more donations come your way!!

By the way just to mention:

- moneytoo's program is not working well with Jamin with WM5 (it connects to the MBW-150 and test command for SMS is OK, incoming call only shows the icon but no number or caller id, other features including 2 line text are not working on Jamin WM5)

- pcfixitman's program works well with the Jamin WM5 and MBW-150 with all features working but the program is missing the additional features in moneytoo's program.

Later I'll test with Kaiser and Advantage.

Just to mention you guys are both geniuses and thank you for the great effort you are making, and moneytoo please if it's possible to review the function with the Jamin and WM5 it would be great and pcfixitman if it's possible to add some of the features present in moneytoo's program it would be nice.

After installing v01.1.7.0 and pairing the watch again.
My watch is dead:mad:

The watch was fully charged and now not responding any more.
Even hard reset can't be done.

But there is a bug with MBW-100.
When starting the program when you have to puss a button.
Then the parameters are not in the right order.
And then your watch doesn't respond anymore.

So i keep my pairing with the phone but i don't install the progam until the bug is solved.

I recommend to use "convert bmp to nol" tool. The input image file must be 1-bit (monochromatic) BMP with resolution 72x14.

My Executive MBW-150 was delivered yesterday, so Happy Valentine's Day to me! ;) I have tried both moneytoo's and pcfixitman's applications and can't get either one to work (yet). I have the Sprint PC-6800 with No2Chem's latest WM 6.1 ROM. It has .Net 3.5, which I think I read causes problems with serial ports. :confused:

In both apps, the watch successfully pairs, I see the "Pairing succeeded" icon on the watch briefly, and MBW-150 shows as a device in the phone. However, the watch only shows the icon indicating that Bluetooth is on (B), but not the icon to show that Bluetooth is on and connected to the phone (B<>)

I followed the directions for moneytoo's app first; paired the phone, created the registry settings, rebooted, etc. When I click Start on the app, I get a .Net error screen about IO error. Is this the .Net 3.5 problem?

I eventually uninstalled moneytoo's app and tried pcfixitman's. It installed okay, I deleted the pairing on the phone, hard reset the watch, and paired it through the app. After Search and Connect, the MBW-150 shows as found and connected. When I "Press Connect to initiate connection with your watch", the busy wheel spins, I see "Waiting for device to connect...", and after a minute the wheel stops spinning (but still visible) and the phone is locked up on that screen. Does this app also have a problem with .Net 3.5?

Sorry for asking questions about pcfixitman's app here, but PCGeeks is down while they switch servers. :(

Thanks for your efforts. :) If there's anything I can do to help with testing, let me know. I suppose it could either be .Net CF 3.5 or WM 6.1, or some combination of the two.

I don't recall seeing your sWMconfig before, is it new? I'll try your new steps with this program and see if it makes any difference.

One potential issue is that I made the COM6 changes by hand, and it won't delete from the Bluetooth screen. I'll remove the registry entries by hand and try sWMconfig instead.

B = Bluetooth on / not connected
B<> = Bluetooth on / connected
This symbol has nothing to do with pairing and doesn't indicate paired or not paired.

The only way to get the "B<>"-symbol is by pairing and connecting with the software, so if it's in the paired list on the phone, just try connecting with different com ports.

I finally got moneytoo's smartWatchM v0.1.7.0 working on my MBW-150 with my Sprint PPC-6800 running No2Chem's 5046 ROM with WM 6.1 and .Net CE 3.5! :D

I followed all of moneytoo's steps to the letter, including running his new sWMconfig. My watch paired on the first try, so it seems that as long as the watch shows on the Bluetooth screen, it will work.

The tricky part was finding a port that worked. Here are the port results:

COM 6, 7, 8, 9: IO error.
COM 0, 2: Connects and works!
COM 1, 3, 5: Stuck on Waiting for connection. Press a button on the watch.
COM 4: Reserved for my Mogul's internal GPS so I didn't try it.

I did find a few minor glitches, but I will report on those later. For now, I am just happy that it's working! :cool:

I'm currently running version 0.1.6.4 and I run across a problem yesterday evening. I muted the call, well I made the watch stop vibrating, by pressing top right. After the call was over and the phone stopped ringing, I couldnt get a connection back, the watch kept showing me <<<B>>> I had restart sWM but it still didnt work, so in the end I had to softreset my device.

This symbol has nothing to do with pairing and doesn't indicate paired or not paired.

The only way to get the "B<>"-symbol is by pairing and connecting with the software, so if it's in the paired list on the phone, just try connecting with different com ports.
After trying all the com ports, my MBW-150 is working correctly on COM2. :) I still only see B and not B<> though. Is this a problem or is this correct?

Yes, it works with Kaiser without any problem.

I'm running v0.1.7.0 on an MBW-150 on a Sprint PPC-6800. When I press the left middle button (stop/play) all I see is the two line messaging info. Repeated presses just bring this screen up again. Press and hold of this button brings up a voice mail and email screen, but nothing else. Has this changed in this version or is it a limitation of my watch or phone?

Repeatedly pressing the top right button on the watch, I go from date, to time, to two line messaging info. Oddly, I only get the messaging info with this button only if I have first brought it up with the middle left button. Otherwise it just toggles between date and time.

The button push is olny required because of needed connection initiation. And the initiation uses a lot of Sony Ericsson specific features. Basicly, smartWatchM only responds to requests from the watch so if there is no request, the cannot be any answer to send. But maybe you could try sending commands Vibrate and Call Start. These two could work.

Yes, you have to set also an outgoing port, not the same, as i told you before mine works with com1 as outgoing port, and com9 as incoming port. And you have to check that in bluetooth setting incoming to have the same port numer as in smartwatchM setings in my case is 9

There is no need to set outcoming port. SmartWatchM doesn't use it at all. It was my misunderstanding until I realized how the COM ports in WM work. I have updated the installation guide few days ago.

Kaiser sound the reminder but nothing in the watch
(to report befor all appointment was reported on watch even if it has no reminder)

I just installed v0.1.7.5 on my Sprint PPC-6800. Appointment notification works great; in fact the phone announced about 30 seconds before my phone did. :)

but when i press 3 time the top right button, it displays the test appointment that i made !!
but where was no display and no vibration

no appointmoint makes vibrate the watch (in previous vesion all event make the watch vibrate at the set time time)

You can alway set notification repeat (but it will remind you all unread messages as well until you read them). The appointment repeating will stop when the appointment starts, the number of repeats is reached or you enter appointment info screen on the watch.

Actually, if the time/date were the last viewed on the info screen, pressing the upper right button three times already brings up that time/date screen, so that's probably not necessary.

i've found a bug in the caller notification on version 1.7.5...... when i get a call with number that is not in my contacts than at first the mbw 150 shows at first the number and than unknown. Thats bad. When i get a call with number wich is not in my contacts and i can not look at the first seconds of this call on my watch than i can not decide is this a call with number or not :-((

I came down with the flu this week, so I kind of dropped the project for a few days. But, now that I'm feeling better I've made a few changes to my app.

Here's the latest version of my application for MBW-100 (should work with other models). Currently at version 0.1.3

This version currently supports the following:

1. Pairing of a new Watch directly through the app.
2. Establishing communication with an already paired Watch.
3. Creates a registry key (HKLM\SOFTWARE\btWatch) for device setup and options.
4. Options Menu to enable/disable features.
5. Current Options: CID, SMS, EMAIL, VIBRATION and Number of rings to Vibrate on.
6. Fully functional incoming call notification (name/number + vib for n rings)
7. Notification of incoming Text Messages (displays num unread messages).
8. Notification when new Email arrives (displays num unread email).
9. Digital Date and Time are synchronized with the phone.
10.Debugging mode to allow you to see behind the scenes for testing purposes ("Monitor Connection").
11.Added EKG annimation when connection is established.
12.Watch will now auto connect after going out of range and coming back within range.
13.Added 2-line text support.
14.Added phone status (press pause/play button)
Status Displays: # unread email, # unread SMS, # missed calls, VM notification, current phone battery state, headset presence and cellular signal strength!
15.Reject a call by pressing upper right button twice (slight delay)

To simplify installation I have also compiled 2 separate cab installers. One for Smart Phones without the touch screen and one for PocketPC style phones. Should work on WM5 and above.

Anyway, I hope you all like the new version! Please let me know if it works with your watch and also let me know what make/model of watch you have (and version of WM) so that I can ensure that the software is compatible with all of them.

I came down with the flu this week, so I kind of dropped the project for a few days. But, now that I'm feeling better I've made a few changes to my app.

Here's the latest version of my application for MBW-100 (should work with other models). Currently at version 0.1.3

This version currently supports the following:

1. Pairing of a new Watch directly through the app.
2. Establishing communication with an already paired Watch.
3. Creates a registry key (HKLM\SOFTWARE\btWatch) for device setup and options.
4. Options Menu to enable/disable features.
5. Current Options: CID, SMS, EMAIL, VIBRATION and Number of rings to Vibrate on.
6. Fully functional incoming call notification (name/number + vib for n rings)
7. Notification of incoming Text Messages (displays num unread messages).
8. Notification when new Email arrives (displays num unread email).
9. Digital Date and Time are synchronized with the phone.
10.Debugging mode to allow you to see behind the scenes for testing purposes ("Monitor Connection").
11.Added EKG annimation when connection is established.
12.Watch will now auto connect after going out of range and coming back within range.
13.Added 2-line text support.
14.Added phone status (press pause/play button)
Status Displays: # unread email, # unread SMS, # missed calls, VM notification, current phone battery state, headset presence and cellular signal strength!
15.Reject a call by pressing upper right button twice (slight delay)

To simplify installation I have also compiled 2 separate cab installers. One for Smart Phones without the touch screen and one for PocketPC style phones. Should work on WM5 and above.

Anyway, I hope you all like the new version! Please let me know if it works with your watch and also let me know what make/model of watch you have (and version of WM) so that I can ensure that the software is compatible with all of them.

using the mbw-100; how many of these features are useable, and how do i access them?

i only have three buttons: top and bottom right, and the crown presses in too...

pressing bottom button displays and toggles through four options which are:
1. bluetooth
2. message notification
3. out of range notification
4. pairing

top button toggles on/off selected menu item

edit: through random fiddling, i have now discovered that a press and hold of the crown will bring up your menus, i have to wait for each one to dissapear then press and hold the crown again to bring up the next, in the following order:

staus (email(0) sms(0) calls(0) mms(0))
appointments (works)
tasks (works)
weather (no data)
last call (works)
profile operator (works)
time and date (works)
music deets (works)
rss (no rss data) - what rss app do i need for this?

after this i just get "skip track" logo on every opther push/pushandhold, until i exit your software, rerun it and restart the connection.

when in one of the menus, the top button seems to dim the display on first push then turn off the watch display and minimise the smartwatch app on the phone. the bottom button seems to have no function within these menus.


testing all the functions via your program seem to work, but when i test "external time" under "extra", it seems to get stuck in a loop and constantly shows me the time on my phone... cant seem to break this loop without exiting the program and running it again.

when a new sms comes through, is it supposed to display/scroll the text of the sms (would be ultra cool!) or just "new SMS" x4 over two lines (seems a little pointless - just the sms logo would be better).

i think because i am missing some buttons compared to mbw150 versions i have limited functionality... is this case? (didnt realise there was a hardware difference as only patchy information available online and prefer the look of the mbw100!) if so, is it possible (relatively easy) to make a special release for those of us with the three botton version, seeing as the info seems to port to the watch very nicely, but accessing it is not easy with only 3 buttons?!

really hope you can help, and more than happy to make hefty monetary contribution... ;)

Since few last versions I always have my watch turned on the whole day and it runs great. I have never missed anything. Could it be some power management on Windows Mobile Professional that closes ports?

WM control mode sends keys UP (volume up), DOWN (volume down), ENTER (play/pause), and RIGHT (ff). You can use these keys to controlling your player (must be running on top and visible).

Appointment on Asus P750 are OK, but on MBW-150 Ex. nothing happens, no Vibrate and no Display.
"Old" Version 0.1.7.0 = (Most of times) No Problems

You have anything changed in the "Appointments" Programm Code after V. 0.1.7.0, which "crash" my "appointment notifications".
Please fix it.

Otherwise add the new "- sms sender/text notification" into V. 0.1.7.0
because it is great :o

Using 0.1.7.7 with Tytn II and MBW-100, no problems with notifications, appointments appear on time on my watch (including 10 minutes before real appointments as set in Outlook). I'm getting the impression that the newer PPC's (like Tytn II etc.) give less problems....maybe better BT stack or WM6 perhaps...

SMS Reading is working, it's not the whole SMS message but the first 30 so characters! It's increnible, the SmartWatchM is getting better and greater every 48 hours.... Impressive! I still have not found any problems with my configuration.

I'm now using the HTC Kaiser (Tytn 2) with a Windows Mobile 6.1. Beta firmware from "Sleuth 3.0." WWE version. Have no problems at all, except one of the buttons is sticky on the Watch... Anyone a good tip how to clean the button?

Moneytoo, here's a weird one for you. I have been running v0.1.7.7 with great success on my MBW-150. I just added the GPS today program found on this forum, which basically keeps the internal GPS on my PPC-6800 running.

Now when I use my Bluetooth headset with MSVC to check a status, the watch disconnects as if it's out of range. After the automatic MSVC voice finishes answering me, the watch reconnects. One possible clue is that the out of range sound comes through my headset instead of the internal speaker. The reconnect sound does come from my internal speaker.

The internal GPS is on COM4 and the watch in on COM2. Do they use the same interrupts like they do on a PC? Could that be the problem? If so, the only other com port I could get to work for the watch was COM0. Is that a safe/legitimate port to use?

for some reason i simply cannot get smartwatch to communicate with my mbw-100 anymore. i previously had had a version working (though with limited functionality 'cos i don't have enough buttons :( )

i woke up this morning and it just wasn't working. i have also had problems answering calls (not ideal!)

for now, i will use btwatch from pcfixitman, which connects flawlessly, but has quite limited functions (eagerly awaiting upgrades like scrolling sms text, etc!)

i am very desapointed and sad to tell that i confirm, i did lot of tests and still the same
no noification of reminded appointment and notification of all appointment at time of the calendar (and not all are notiffied)

i don't know what to do , may be i can help you (tell me if you want me to check something in my kaiser)

i didn't knew Newsbreak and all i can say is that Newsbreak is much much better and fast than SPB Insight, i think i'm going to change !!
but as smartwatch check RSS is no usefull at all
could it be possible:

to complet it could you make some "auto minimize in start up"
because Smartwatch starts befor i can dial my pin code, and when i minimize kaiser back in today page

If appointment notifications arent working for you:

Install this sWM (http://www.smartmadsoft.com/temp/smartwatchm_app_test.cab) test version.
Create a new appointment or make sure the soonest appointment has set reminder (let's say to 5-15 minutes...).
Every minute, sWM should inform you (in sWM windows) about the soonest appointment and minutes should count down. When the counter reaches 0-1, notification should appear.

If nothing appears, you have not enabled the appointment notifications.
If "No appointment." appears, no appointment exist or has not set subject/time/reminder.

On the MBW-100 you can press&hold the right bottom button to dissable BT (I don't know if this works on MBW-150).

I start sWM at 01:03 and every Minute ....
(01:03) "No appointment."
(01:04) "No appointment."
(01:xx) "No appointment."
......
(01:10) "No appointment." (PPC Remind me with Sound and Display)

Pernod99: Most probably it fails because it cannot load the appointment time or reminder. I will test it in PPC emulator, maybe I will need you to make one more test... But I hope it will be fixed till the end of this week. ;)

i create a test appointment at 14hh30 with a 1 hour befor reminder
at 13h30 my watch DIDN'T notify anything
conclusion : appointment still don't work
