Could you please describe your problem step by step?
What music player are you using?
Have you activated the music control and have you seen the name of the music player on the watch?

I use htc audio touchflow 3d 2 and windows media player and tried it with coreplayer.
In the settings of smartwatchm the music control is on default active. So when one of the above programes is active on the screen than the watch mbw150 doesn't control the media. for example the play butteb to pauze/play or stop the media does show up on the watch but nothing happens on the phone

Some might remember me talking about adding GPS display to sWM.

Well, I got my watch 2 days ago, and played a bit with it... and by chance just found a nice little WM development environment on the same evening that looked very light and easy to use. That's a very good thing, as I was very reluctant to using the obviously expensive and very heavy visual studio to just try developing a couple of little things for WM...

So that made a perfect excuse to try it out and work on that GPS thing with Basic4PPC, which is pretty much just a "light" VB, than can also be edited on the PPC itself.

The result after only about 5 hours of development (now that's how I like IDEs, quick start ;) ) is GPS2Watch... v0.1 for now

It simply uses sWM "3rd party notifications", and connects to WM5+'s intermediate GPS driver, so no messing with COM ports. It should work with any device/GPS combination, if the GPS is external it must be set in WM's "External GPS" settings. Simply run the program, click "Start GPS", and the watch should start displaying GPS info, refreshed every 4 seconds (this seems to be the best choice to have a nearly continuous display, seeing how sWM polls the text file). This results in only short blinks from the watch between screen updates.

I had put an interval setting to look for the best update rate, and decided to leave it in case one would prefer for example to have the watch display just once every 30 secs or so. In that case, you might want to tick the Vibrate box so you don't miss the updates :)

The watch will display "GPS Position Invalid" when used sats < 3 or PDOP > 10. I chose those pretty much arbitrarily becuase my Kaiser's GPS tends to be too optimistic, and regularly displays PDOPs in the "very good" range even a couple of seconds after it has lost sats. That should be just fine.
In normal display, the display shows Speed, alt, heading and a user settable bearing, only in the metric system for now.

So, features:
- GPS speed, alt, heading display (metric)
- User settable bearing, for reference (seems there's some trouble with the "touch-slider" I did that doesn't always respond... gonna check that)
- User-definable update rate, min 4sec due to sWM interfacing limitations
- Watch vibration on/off
- Uses WM5+ GPS driver, so make sure "External GPS" settings are correct (DON'T touch if you use an internal GPS)
- Requires sWM, obviously, which MUST be installed on internal memory and running.

And remember it's my first WM program, and "work in progress" ;)

- Suggestion: Implement a notification system that goes the other way (create a text file with the buttons that were pressed on the watch). For example, when a notification file is read, create one file with the last pressed button. That way there's no need to activate/deactivate file creation manually.
I'll gladly take your offer for a "quickstart" regarding communication with the watch with the AT commands - I'd find it interesting to tackle ;)

What you expect is just a shortcut though.. you could try locating the actual program under Program Files\smartmadsoft\smartWatchM\ .. I say program files because I installed in there. You would look for it in Storage (or what ever its called on your device alt or external storage). Launch the smartwatchm.exe and see if it it runs.

The Athena ROM is the same one that I have been using for 9 months with no problems. I have now switched to a Vario IV (Raphael) running WM6.5. I will try the latest version of the software or try a legacy version if the battery is still bad.

hi to everyone, and especially to moneytoo for his great work on smatwatch. I am using a sonyericsson X1 with the original Rom R3A, my problem is that I'm using my bluetooth headset together with all my MBW-100,150,ABACUS watches but after i answer a call using my bt headset sometimes the smart watch tray icon goes dim (disconnects) and the worst is that it sometimes automatically reconnects after I end the call, and sometimes it doesn't there was not a problem before i installed cyberon voice speed dial and another little program called jetware hands free extension. the reason i installed these programs is that I wanted voice dialing on my X1 (voice dialing is not standard on the x1) now voice dialing works perfectly on my X1, but this problem came up on my X1. my question is, is there anyone here that uses the above programs on his x1, and if yes is there a fix for the problem I'm facing?
or if moneytoo can work a workaround on this problem? I have been meaning to donate for your great work on smartwatch this is a one more good reason for doing so..... thank you very much in advance.

To start an application with a parameter, just create a link (.lnk) that already includes the path and parameter and set the userfile just to this link.

First of all I have tried to search for this problem and I also have read all the treads...
I just got min mbw-150 today, though I have installed the client (latest 1.2.4.0.) for som while. Min device is a Diamond standard 6.1 rom.
My problem is that I dont see the menus as text.
insteed I see the volumebar and when i change the "volume" up and down and press the middel button i see an coresponding menu.....
How do i stop the bar from showing, and instead show the menus in clear text, i suppose thats the meaning right?

ok...i figured it out....in time one will remember where the menus are.
So because of this max, that why the last menu item i can reach is userfile 3...I´ve tried to raise the numbers of items but the last 2 just dont appear.

Everytime you see the envelope, the watch has to (100% sure) vibrate. If you see the envelope but the watch doesn't vibrate, it's a hardware failure.

A: You can return to smartWatchM by tapping the tray icon or holding the top left button (FF). This "hiding" prevens system from closing smartWatchM when running low on memory.

Wanted to ask about Hebrew, it seems Hebrew is the right order when using large fonts one line view.
When moving to two lines view the letters are the wrong order for example שלום is written where the order of the letters in the word is backwards םולש.

Is there a way to:
1. Show the content of messages also in large one line view?
Or
2. Rearrange the letters in Hebrew in two lines view to be the right order?

I am a long time user of your smartwatch, and mostly i use Pocket player for Mp3, one feature that i miss over WMP is the "Track Title". I do understand both WMP and Pocket player support track name via Smartwatch, but unlike WMP where the track name shows up (@watch) automatically after each song start, while in Pocket player the song title only shows if you forcefully change the track by < or > button.

Is there any way to show the track title automatically like WMP under Pocket player??

I have been using smartWatchM for a couple of months now and love it, but I have one problem which I haven't figured out how to fix.

Whenever I call up a Task Manger (seems to affect all task managers including the standard HTC Task Manager) it takes 10-15 seconds for the task list to pop-up when smartWatchM is running (doesn't matter if the process is hidden or not). When it is not running, the task list will be displayed in less than half a second.

I do not notice any other performance issues with smartWatchM, battery life seems mostly unaffected which is suprising but this issue can be a pain. I really want to use this new task manager called ShowCase (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=530564) but it is unusable with smartWatchM.

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated!


P.S. I am using this on a Touch Diamond (see sig) and have tried disabling everything else including TouchFlo but the problem remains unchanged

After sorting a few problems with tomtom, I can confirm that V1.2.4.0 works a treat, no random disconnections (only during calls) and best of all my watch lasts now over 5 days! and still showing half charge. :-)
even though the tg01 has a built in virbration the watch is a must as the ringing volume is SO low.

I've the same issue as dhingra_vinay_in with my TP2 and my MBW-150.

I can pair my Touch Pro 2 with the watch with either the BT control panel (widcom stack) or smartWatchM, but I'm not able to connect.

When pairing through the BT applet, I get a message saying that no service is available (I don't what what the exact message is in English. With my FrenchOS, the message is "Aucun service ne nous intéresse"), and I have to click on "Cancel" to go back to the paired devices list.

Just after the pairing, there is a "Bluetooth Serial Port" listed under the MBW-150 device.

When starting smartWatchM, I've got the "BT is off. Turing BT on ..." message (even if BT is started).

Your soft is very good, but I can't have appointements notifications from my Samsung Omnia connected to my LM958 watch. Call and message notification works but not appointement. Did I miss something (of course there is a reminder on the appointement I tried).

Hey friend, I'm having some issues with the sms notifications. When I have SmartwatchM running, the sms doesn't show notifications in the clock, neither in S2U2 or in SPB Mobile Shell 3.0. I rebooted without the soft, and now I have notifications. Do you know what can be going on?

Are there any plans to incorporate task notifications? The only way I seem to be able to achieve this at the moment is to make an appointment that duplicates the pending task deadline....which is a bit of a pain :(

It would be nice to receive a notification on my watch when a task 'alarm' is generated on my phone.

It might of course be me just being stupid!

Some might remember me talking about adding GPS display to sWM.

Well, I got my watch 2 days ago, and played a bit with it... and by chance just found a nice little WM development environment on the same evening that looked very light and easy to use. That's a very good thing, as I was very reluctant to using the obviously expensive and very heavy visual studio to just try developing a couple of little things for WM...

So that made a perfect excuse to try it out and work on that GPS thing with Basic4PPC, which is pretty much just a "light" VB, than can also be edited on the PPC itself.

The result after only about 5 hours of development (now that's how I like IDEs, quick start ;) ) is GPS2Watch... v0.1 for now

It simply uses sWM "3rd party notifications", and connects to WM5+'s intermediate GPS driver, so no messing with COM ports. It should work with any device/GPS combination, if the GPS is external it must be set in WM's "External GPS" settings. Simply run the program, click "Start GPS", and the watch should start displaying GPS info, refreshed every 4 seconds (this seems to be the best choice to have a nearly continuous display, seeing how sWM polls the text file). This results in only short blinks from the watch between screen updates.

I had put an interval setting to look for the best update rate, and decided to leave it in case one would prefer for example to have the watch display just once every 30 secs or so. In that case, you might want to tick the Vibrate box so you don't miss the updates :)

The watch will display "GPS Position Invalid" when used sats < 3 or PDOP > 10. I chose those pretty much arbitrarily becuase my Kaiser's GPS tends to be too optimistic, and regularly displays PDOPs in the "very good" range even a couple of seconds after it has lost sats. That should be just fine.
In normal display, the display shows Speed, alt, heading and a user settable bearing, only in the metric system for now.

So, features:
- GPS speed, alt, heading display (metric)
- User settable bearing, for reference (seems there's some trouble with the "touch-slider" I did that doesn't always respond... gonna check that)
- User-definable update rate, min 4sec due to sWM interfacing limitations
- Watch vibration on/off
- Uses WM5+ GPS driver, so make sure "External GPS" settings are correct (DON'T touch if you use an internal GPS)
- Requires sWM, obviously, which MUST be installed on internal memory and running.

And remember it's my first WM program, and "work in progress" ;)

- Suggestion: Implement a notification system that goes the other way (create a text file with the buttons that were pressed on the watch). For example, when a notification file is read, create one file with the last pressed button. That way there's no need to activate/deactivate file creation manually.
I'll gladly take your offer for a "quickstart" regarding communication with the watch with the AT commands - I'd find it interesting to tackle ;)

and in french there are not am and pm time

I have been using the smartWatchM app with GenY2 ROM and HTC Diamond. All worked well.

The smartWatchM v1.2.4.1 (15th August version) works except of Reminders notifications.

I can see the Reminder in phone, it pops up as before, the alarm sounds as normal. However the watch does not vibrate anymore and the reminder text is not shown by the watch (SE 150 BT watch) .

Has anybody experienced similar issue in smartWatchM with the latest releases of WIN Mobile 6.1 stock /cooked ROMs?

I made no change to the smartWatch settings at all, Reminder notifications are allowed both in WM and smartWatchM but no reminders in watch.
Emails notifications work and the watch shows any new mail arrived.

I am not sure if this is the issue of the ROM or the application- since the reminder behavior seems as usual. No one except me logged an issue at that thread on this.
Please can anyone help? I want to use the ROM due to many fixes and I need the reminders as well.

In theory, it should work with any player. Have a look at this page (http://www.smartmadsoft.com/forum/index.php?action=vthread&forum=1&topic=97). So long as Slingplayer allows parameters on the shortcut or, with a bit of MortScript trickery, then the answer is yes.

Might be the ROM I'm using? I don't have anything else running that could cause a conflict, even disabled TouchFlo3D just in case. Doesn't matter which Task Manager I use, they all take around ten seconds to start when smartWatchM is running (regardless if it is minimised or hidden)

I want to get the TP2. Read in your FAQ smartWatchM works with the TP2. There are reports here, and on your smartmadsoft page, that it doesn't work with the Widcom stack. Who here is using the MBW-150 with their TP2 and got it working?

An alternative would be the Omnia II - i8000. Anyone tried pairing the MBW-150 with that phone?

First of all, thank you for a great app moneytoo! I bought this amazing watch (mbw-150) solely for use with your app, and although the interface is slightly more unusual than i expected it works like a charm!

I've been thinking about a very usefull costum notification in combination with google maps of TomTom 7+'s walking feature. Would it be technically possible to use this google maps to get turn by turn direction information on the watch?

The feature to send either text (right turn) or a bmp (right arrow.bmp) is already present. The only issue seems to be exporting the notification real-time from the GPS application. I may sound like a bit of a leech but I'm no expert on GPS applications :(. Is there anyone farmiliar with this becouse it would be the coolest thing ever! (imagine driving on your bike and recieving updates on where to go real-time on your watch!)

about french : it's because i thought it was not possible (or i thought i would have been added since a long time)... Also, it was possible to read without it, it was a blank.

I have all the mbw series watches mbw-100,abacus,executive,music the difference is clear.

installed yesterday the latest version 29-08-09 and after installing the watch didn't connect. i deleted from the bt devices and re-pair it. the problem is that now the watch is stuck in pair mode. if i stop the pair mode by pressing the top right button this also stop the BT. pushing again to restart the BT it throws the watch in pairing mode....any ideas?
and yes, i did reset the watch!

I have updated to v1.2.4.2 and have found over the last 3 days my watch is lasting only about a full 24 hours, previously I was getting 5 full days without turning the watch off.

Also, whats happened to the out of service notification? I found it very helpful, but there again I requested it ;-)

whith all the previous models (exept for the executive edition) I have to put my hand and hide the light in direct sunlight, the executive edition has some visibility problems too but not that much. the watch is not available on the open market here in greece either, I have bought them all from abroad www.expansys.com the ''update version i got from germany when i went a few months ago and was at a very good price (139 euro)

However, SmartWatch now will not talk to the watch at all since upgrading to his latest build of 6.5. I can pair the watch with WM ok, and BT manager shows one service: "SEMC BT Watch" for the device, that can be enabled or disabled.

But whether I pair through WM, or use the "discover and pair" option in SmartWatch, hitting "Start (connect)" will never talk to the watch.

Strange thing is, if I enable the "SEMC BT Watch" service in BT manager under the paired device, WM seems to send call info / alerts to the watch if the phone rings etc. The info is very basic though, and nowhere near as good as SmartWatch!

I've had a quick search around on this issue but haven't found anything relevant.

Yes, that seems to match my experience of the latest build. Would have been nice if there was a way to enable / disable this feature through bluetooth manager :rolleyes:

I've just disabled that dll in the registry (set IsEnabled = 0) and everything works again. Thanks for the pointer!

Just a couple of observations:

1. When I press the center left button for the first time (or if I haven't pressed it in a few minutes), the battery level shows Bat(N/A%). Like the phone doesn't know the battery level. Then if I press it again a few seconds later, it has the correct battery %. Does anyone else see this? I searched here for "n/a" and didn't get any hits - my apologies if this is a known issue. I tried to change the battery polling interval but it didn't seem to help. Not a big deal, but it would be great if there was a way to check battery level on the first try.

2. Just a suggestion that under Menu -> Settings -> Tools, "Full Length Messages" be re-worded somehow to indicate that it sets the lines and scroll speed for full-length messages, while "Full Length Messages" under Menu -> Settings -> Other switches full-length messages on/off. That was a minor source of confusion until I started going through both options.

Anyhow, I love it - a BT watch is the perfect device for caller ID, message headers, and status info. I wish instead of the 1-15 volume slider it would be possible to show which menu item was being selected, as I can never remember which volume position is which menu item without short-pressing the stop button, but I'm guessing that's built into the watch and can't be changed. :)

You have not selected the right watch from settings/device it should be mbw-150 I think you have selected mbw-100 abacus. try checking the settings.

I used it since several months with a Samsung Omnia i900.
Testing 6.5 Roms have cause problem, but with the latest, it is ok again. Cool !

You have not selected the right watch from settings/device it should be mbw-150 I think you have selected mbw-100 abacus. try checking the settings.

1. The N/A is because of the power management on PPC platform. There are different power states so in the sleep state (display off, low powered) some functions may not be available while with display on it probably shows the percentage every time. There are many factors - the time you've last used your device, other running applications, OEM customization...

Apparently it pairs with windows mobile itself, so I only have stock options, but no sms preview and all those fantastic options.

Firstly I would just like to say how much I love this app, and how useful it is.

However, I have a problem with the caller logo's, when I test with the .bmp from test settings, it displays fine, but I do not get any .nol logo when I do the same test and when I use my own .bmp files they are corrupted on the display.

I have it set to 2 lines, and I have the files in the correct format 92 x 16 1 bpp, 2 colour etc.

If I rename the test logo to a callers number, that works perfectly, just not my own logo's.

Installed your latest software to my gf's qtek 8500 (the only WM phone in the household). I tried to pair with her MBW-200, but I got an error message when I tried to change the device from the MBW-150: "Direct connection cannot be set if Incoming COM port is active. Delete the incoming COM port first." Then I tried pairing it with my MBW-150, as this was already pre-selected, but I get the same error message, and having tried pairing with the MBW-150 the menu alternatives for Settings- - Device as well as the Discover and Pair became unselectable in the menu and greyed out.

How do I delete the incoming COM port?

I guess you have not flashed your Qtek with latest ROM so it should have WM 5.0. In this case all incoming/outcoming ports should be listed in the Bluetooth manager in Settings (the same place you can se "New Incoming Port" and "New Outcoming Port" menu items).
If it won't be here you can delete it in registry: HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Bluetooth\Serial\Ports\Inc oming.

Thanks for getting back to me over this problem.

The .nol I am trying is the one included in the program, this one is not showing at all,
I have also tried others in the same format, with no joy.

However the .bmp included "Honey" works perfectly, but when I try any other .bmp formated in exactly the same way using irfranview, I get just a garbled screen.

I will try to upload some of the graphics later, to see if the problem can be rectifired.

I may have found out why. I believe it has to do with the refresh rate on the watch. I don't experience the same behavior on the MBW-150. And when running the stopwatch function, there are little pauses on the MBW-200, whereas on the MBW-150 it all runs smoothly.

I have a Touch HD and I just flashed the Energy Leo ROM from 09/21 and it seems as though it interferes with smartwatchm in some way, when I get a textmessage the app crashes with this stacktrace:

I have noticed that with the bluetooth turned on on the watch I am unable to send files to the phone. It always says failed, if I turn off the bluetooth on the watch the files transfer everytime. I also noticed the phone is not discoverable while the watch is connected, so this may be related. Phone info in signature. Watch is MBW-150 Executive.
All that aside, I must say I absolutely love this software and hardware. Thank you for a wonderful experience.
I tested my watch and I get 5 days from it and that is less than some, but more than enough for me. My phone does use a small bit more battery with the watch connected, but more traffic means more power so I understand.

I use this smartWatchM and MBW-150 with my HTC Universal running Tomal's WM6.1 8.5 and radio 1.15.00. Everything works good, but battery life is about one day. Anybody here knows some better rom and radio for MBW-150 battery's longer life? I don't need video call and MMS. Rom could be WM5, WM6 or WM6.1...

I haven't tested this case but I'm afraid it might be the Advantage since there is a lot of problematic and battery draining foms for the Advantage.

There's no reason it won't work. Xperia X2 will probably include native basic support for Sony Ericsson watches. However you will be able to disable the native support and use smartWatchM without any problem.

This is really annoying. I missed a few appointments this way. Strange, the Rom is WM6.1 based. Appointments are triggering the alarm in phone but watch is not showing them. I can read them on the display though when selecting the Appointment menu in the watch but they are not popping up themselves as they used to with the vibration. Is there any way how to trigger the appointments in watch again?

I use it with WM 6.1 non-touchscreen phone. I also have a problem of missing letters.

Update to v 7.0.1 first. What services are you using? I tested it only with ICQ...

I have IM+ v7.0.2, smartWatchM v1.2.4.0 and MBW-200.

I use aim, yahoo messenger, google talk and facebook chat. All of them have the same problems when the IM is displayed on my MBW-200:

1) In the message, there is "& " whenever there should only be " ". For example the instant message: "how are you?" displays as "how& are& you?" on the watch.

2) For the sender, instead of "@" there is "40". For example, if the sender was "sender@gmail.com" it appears as "sender40gmail.com" on the watch.

In addition, using facebook chat, the sender is a string of about 9 digits, rather than the name of the person sending the message.

Is it possible to have smartWatchM change the profile when the watch is disconnected?

Normally I silence my phone and rely upon my watch to alert me to phone calls, text messages, appointments and IMs.

There have been times I have missed calls, etc. because my watch was disconnected. Also, when I have been unable to locate my phone, it would be nice to be able to call it to find it, but calling doesn't help because it doesn't ring!

If the phone changed to the normal profile when the watch was disconnected, both of the above problems would be averted, as well as remind me to reconnect the watch.

I like not having audible notifications. I get tired of hearing them myself, and I'm sure other people might as well ;-) Also, I don't have phantom vibrations with my watch like sometimes occurs with phones in pockets, nor have I missed alerts because I didn't feel them.

I thought of a couple of other similar features you could add:
--stolen phone alarm: when the watch is disconnected have make a continuous audible sound. This will help you find the phone whether someone took it, or you forgot to take it with you.
--locate phone: use the watch to cause the phone to make an audible sound to help you find it (as long as you are still within distance for bluetooth to work). I guess you could get this same funtionality with the phone alarm feature mentioned above and turning off the watch

Download the latest 1.2.5.0 beta that improves the IM+ compatibility.

switching profiles: There are similar request but it's not implemented because I don't want to be responsible for missed important call just because of some bug or malfunction - application can be terminated by the system and the profile won't be switched back to ring.

I'm not able to duplicate this problem with my MBW-150 (and latest version from beta.smartmadsoft.com).
The number of characters on line is not fixed but it's based on the width of characters.

But... Maybe it's not the sw but the hw. I have never seen nor tested MBW-200. Both MBW-100/150 have OLED display resolution 96x16.
From some pictures the arrow displayed on the screen looks much bigger on MBW-200.

The official site (http://www.sonyericsson.com/cws/products/accessories/specifications/mbw-200contemporaryelegance?lc=is&cc=is) says MBW-200 has resolution 80x60! Probably some typo but I guess it's possible it has just 80x16.

Can you test the graphics (bmp), post some shots or count the pixels to be sure so I can add modification for MBW-200?

Re the MBW-200, it may be hardware. When the stop watch runs the refresh rate is slow, so that the timer disappears for a couple of tenths of a second at regular intervals.

BTW, Moneytoo, is there anyway to remove the text on the stopwatch "Stopwatch Running" and "Stopwatch Stopped", and rather have bigger font numbers? As it is now, the numbers are very tiny, which makes them extremely hard to read on my MBW-150 Music Edition.

I'm not able to duplicate this problem with my MBW-150 (and latest version from beta.smartmadsoft.com).
The number of characters on line is not fixed but it's based on the width of characters.

But... Maybe it's not the sw but the hw. I have never seen nor tested MBW-200. Both MBW-100/150 have OLED display resolution 96x16.
From some pictures the arrow displayed on the screen looks much bigger on MBW-200.

The official site (http://www.sonyericsson.com/cws/products/accessories/specifications/mbw-200contemporaryelegance?lc=is&cc=is) says MBW-200 has resolution 80x60! Probably some typo but I guess it's possible it has just 80x16.

Can you test the graphics (bmp), post some shots or count the pixels to be sure so I can add modification for MBW-200?

I get smartwatchm installed, and connected OK, as I have done for a long time now, but when a new message comes in, I just get the envelope notification on the watch, then smartwatchm crashes, with a NullReferenceException (as detailed below).

Any thoughts (other than stop running 0-day old roms? I've tried both 1.2.4.2, and the beta 1.2.5.0 (20091012).

I used to use the HTC Touch 3G with my MBW-150 which seemed to work fine. Because i fly around a lot, what i used to do, was to disable BT on my watch first, then select flight mode on my HTC. Once i arrive at a destination, i would turn off flight mode on my HTC & activate BT on my watch & within a few moments, my watch would be connected. PERFECT!!

Now the sad news is i have updated my phone to HTC Touch 2. Its stock standard ROM from HTC. I installed the latest smatwatchM version & it could connect fine but when it was paired using the BTManager, it said "There are no services we are interested in" . Hmmmm... a bit strange but at least it works.

Here is the problem, using the same method as above to go in flight mode, when i switch off flight mode on arriving somewhere, activate BT on my watch, it will not auto-reconnect. Pushing the button on the watch will still not connect it. The only way i have found to reconnect it, is to open smartwatchM program go to menu & select "Start (Connect)" . Then the program would say "waiting for connection. Press a button on a watch" .

After pressing the button, only then it will reconnect. Is there a fix for this? Also, i can't use hide function coz i can't reconnect the watch until i launch the program & select "Start (connect). Is this because there is no support yet for HTC Touch 2 & Win 6.5

I noticed when i first installed this rom the smartwatch worked fine, that rom was using the default messaging client, but when i installed the new 1.2 Messaging client i had this problem exactly as described in "intellirat's" post and post number 1281 by "pretenderr".
even when i unistalled the new 1.2 messaging client, the problem remained.
i now disabled the SMS and the MAIL notifications for smartwatch to work fine in caller ID only.

Same as Touch Pro 2, Touch 2 has Widcomm Bluetooth stack instead of Microsoft one. The support for Widcomm stack is still in beta version (cause smartWatchM uses 3rd party library for Bluetooth). The library is still in development. If your problem can be solved by just restarting the application then it's ok.

Satio does not support the MBW watches. The only option is to use SIC! BT-Watch that runs fine on Symbian S60 5th Edition.

I'm a very happy user of this great tool for almost a year now (using SE MBW-150 executive).

This week I bought flexmail 4.1 which outshines the rubbish M$ mail "solution" big time (shame on M$ for this..).

SmartWatchM seems to offer basic support only (notification that an E-mail has been received).

Any future plans to upgrade the Flexmail support and show the message (whole / first line only) itself on the watch..?

I finally got my MBW-150 (classic), after six weeks of waiting for my MBW-150 Executive... I had to return the Executive to the vendor because it didn't recharge. After four weeks it seemed that SE didn't have any replacements... so I now got the classic version. It's still nice and I finally have it now :o

Well, I have to say, when you figured this program out it works like a charm! Took an afternoon to figure most things out I guess. Didn't know how to access a media player, but I know now ^^ By the way, I use it with S2P atm.

I have a also problems with the lba-t950. The watch and phone paired without any problem and smartwatch shows a at the top bar "device: lg prada link" and
"connected: yes".
The watch shows the bluetooth icon with the two arrows.
If the watch try to get data from the phone it shows loading with the points ".;..;..." but nothing happens. If i press disconnect in smartwatch the watch shows immediately "disconnected".
I have reset my phone, start and exit smartwatch and paired the devices again without any success.

Try disabling the service as written below. It worked for me on HD2 even without disabling Serial service.

Hi I've used this program for a while but whilst updating my ROM on my phone I have tried the older version which was working fine for me previously isn't anymore so I have installed the newer version onto my phone and tried pairing with the watch and it doesn't work so I was wondering if you can all help me to make sure I'm doing things right.

"Change "HKLM\Software\Widcomm\BTConfig\Services\0001\Auto " from 1 to 0 and restart your device"

However, during the night I switch to flight mode to save battery.
Before I do that I turn off the BT on the watch.

In the morning I switch off flightmode (so BT switches on). After that I switch on the BT on the watch. It will not connect.

Lately WinMo phones are unable to dial up through just pushing the wireless BT headset (voice dial). They require the user to activate this function on the phone (TP2, HD2, and Acer Neotouch as well, it seems). Would it be possible to use the smartWatchM to activate the phone before pushing the voice dial, so that the phone could stay in the bag, pocket, whatever? Or is this feature already enabled?

Prada Link is not yet compatible but it's planned for future releases. As for Android 2.0, you have to wait for a system update from HTC or your carrier.

Hello moneytoo, I've been enjoying and showing off this wonderful program for a while, it's truly amazing.
I have a problem with the Prada watch and HD2, everything connects good, the sms and email alerts work good, but when I get a call the watch starts to vibrate and does not stop, it does not show the caller ID either it only vibrates until I shut it off, any advice? I'm using the latest version with the stock WWE ROM.

It was a tested case on my RW6815 (both on WM5 and WM6.1 ROMS) :D.
I could deactivate and activate BT (while smartwatchM running) without any issues.

Maybe a BT stack issue on my HD2...:confused:

Could be an interesting option to be able to shutdown the smartwatch software from the watch (followed by disabling BT on both watch and phone) to save battery power on both devices..

Any thoughts on that..?

I just started using this application today in combination with my mbw-100. I used to have sony ericsson for several years and I decided to buy a HD2.

It took me a while but it is working now. I had some problems with the pairing and connection. After removing the serial port in bluetooth manager I was able to connect and everything seems to work ok now.

What adverse effects might turning it off have on the phone itself or Bluetooth functionality for example if trying to pair with another device such as headset, etc.? Is there a workaround for not having to edit the registry and still be able to use smartwatch? I'm going to install the smartWatch app but wanted to set some insight first in regards to these questions. Thanks in advance.

It's used for automatic creation of COM ports on connected Bluetooth devices that support Serial Port Profile. The main usage is for Bluetooth GPS modules. However similar functionality is deprecated on Windows Mobile 6 (with MS BT stack) since it's recommended to use sockets instead of(sometimes problematic) COM ports.
It has no affect to internal GPS nor Headset/Stereo etc features.
The reason this registry modification is suggested is because Serial Port is one of the profiles the watch can use and tries to connect to.

Too bad the Sony Ericsson MBW-150 I just ordered doesn't work. Opened it up charged it for about two hours, LED showed the battery charging than full, then unplugged it and the LED wouldn't come on. Tried all the buttons, read the manual, nothing. If the phone is connected to the charger it works fine, turned on Bluetooth and got it to work with SmartWatchM beautifully after the regedit. This is on a Touch Pro 2 by the way. Watch paired to the phone and connected I then unplug the charger and no go. LED dies as if the watch hasn't been charged. I assume MobileCityOnline, the vendor I bought the phone from has had these watches there a while (2007-08) and the battery must not hold a charge anymore. Oh well, sending it back for a new one on Monday.

But at least SmartWatchM works great.

I just bought the Omnia Pro which features the great Samsung Player, a really cool WMP alternative that is probably the best music and video player I have used on Windows Mobile. Currently my MBW-150 can't control this player.

I know you're always getting swamped with requests but if I may be so bold, may i ask that you add this player in a future update?
