Gene PagePool size changer

The program for change size of the PagePool on Gene (HTC P3400, Dopod D600) without a reflashing
and losses of data.
Not to use on other models of devices.
To use at own risk.

Usage:
Copy file gene_pps_changer.exe on a device, and run it, having specified in a command line
the necessary quantity MByte under PagePool, for example:

gene_pps_changer.exe 6

The program will work ~ 10 seconds (at this time it seems, that a device hungup), and
then will reboot the device. Come into Settings -> System-> Memory, and be convinced
in change of the size of the RAM. HardReset does not occur, all your data remain on a place
(Though superfluous backup never stirred to nobody).

For use simplification, prepeared some shortcuts with the necessary parametres.
Copy gene_pps_changer.exe on a device in the ROOT, NOT ON the MEMORY CARD,
and one of the shortcuts necessary to you:
gpps4.lnk - For 4МБ PagePool
gpps6.lnk - For 6МБ PagePool
gpps8.lnk - For 8МБ PagePool
gpps12.lnk - For 12МБ PagePool
Run the copied shortcut in a device.

It doesn't work on my D600. When I run the gpps6.lnk , gene_pps_changer.exe pops up, and then device locks up. nothing happens. I have to soft reset it. Nothing changes. When I tried to run it again. It says Not find need block. What's wrong?

thanks orefkov, just a small question. what is the default PagePool on Gene and how can I get it back ?

Default PP size on Gene is 12 MB.
Copy gene_pps_changer.exe and gpps12.lnk on devaice, at root, and run gpps12.lnk

and using pBar i see that free RAM is 31mb!! while usually it'd be around 20mb.. this is great! but what are the disadvantages i;d like to know..

I used this but this whenever i tap on the lnk file it stays hang up for 10sec and finally says "Not find need block", more over my available ram is 19MB out of 43MB available ,how to rectify this problem, i need more memory

I am using Htc P3400 i executed this but this is saying" Not find need block" no change in RAM memory,more over in the start of my ppc the ram available is 19MB out of 43MB and this occurs in the original wm6.1 by Htc whereas if use some other custom OS i could get 28MB out of 43MB, whats the problem?

BEWARE dont execute the executable on ur phone next time u wont be able to set the ring tone using phone settings in settings menu.


i executed this file then with option 6 it increased memory then after 2 days i changed back to orginal memory using option 12 but phone settings started hanging for almost 5 mins.

i did clear storage fat clearing but same problem..

any suggestion..
