I thought with all the various ROM's out there we could see which ROM is preferred by US AT&T Tilt Users. If you want to be specific about the exact ROM you're using you can post that as well. Maybe Dutty's V3 worked better for you then Dutty's V4.

Currently using Dutty's v4. MUCH better battery for me than v3. In fact v3 was really poor for me. I'm waiting for v4b; I'm hoping it improves the few small glitches left (granted they really haven't affected me yet) and keeps the battery and other tweaks.

I use shaps because of the customizability and the fact that its almost OEM with a bunch of things added and alot of memory to spare!

Don't forget about CUSTEL, I know a lot of people use his 2.1 rom.
I was using Alex's Ultra Clean but now prefer Q's rom. Dutty makes great roms also but they have never fit my tastes. For example, having an FM player cooked into my rom that wouldn't play and prob won't ever play would annoy the hell out of me lol. I will say this though, if he somehow figures out how to get it to work then he deserves some major props on that.

Having just recently cooked my first ROM using Alex's tutorial, I prefer the ATT style over the HTC OEM look. Personally I think a major drawback to any of those style ROMs, be they from dutty,Alex, etc. is the Clock taking up such a huge space of real estate on the display, and all and all the whole UI is just to "institutional/sterile" looking to begin with. I realize that many people do great things with customization but the clock is really wasting space.

I gotta go with UDK. I ran Dutty's Rom for about 2 days and way too many fixes to get it where you want it..eg. Word, Favorites, HTC album and others. I'm not knocking him. I appreciate all the rom cookers. However the UDK rom is where it's at. Very stable too. This is my 3rd HTC device (Prophet, Herald, and now Kaiser). Out of all three, I have to say I've been most impressed with this version so far besides for ITJE's Touch it 4.4. I look forward to more from you UDK.

Dutty does great stuff and I know I'll end up trying one of his ROMs again soon. I'm not all that into the cube and touchflo stuff though and just wanted a super clean ROM to work with. So I've been using Alex's stripped down ROM and just loving it on my Tilt.

I personally prefer to have a stable fast clean ROM as a base which we can add/remove the extra applications as independent CABs.
That said, currently I am torn among these three ROMs: Alex's ATT 1.60 Ultra Clean, Schap's 4.31 Lite, and Quentin's Q-Mobile 1.2.
Alex's ROM is great with 164MB free storage, but the free memory is only 65MB with nothing loaded. Did I miss something here? Alex's ROM has been through 4 revisions, stability, speed, and cleanliness are great (except I found one that he forgot to delete a non-working voice recording icon).
Schap's 4.31 Lite has 153MB free storage, the free memory is great with 74MB after hard reset. Schap is a talented cook; however, this 4.31 Lite still not as clean as it could be.
Quentin's v1.2 is not a lite ROM (145MB free storage), the free memory is less than the advertised 74MB (I had 69MB). I like about his ROM is: I can tell that his ROM must be of great quality since he is very meticulous on all the documentations. It's a pity that the free storage and memory amounts are mediocre.
All three are of fast speed. The difference is very subtle. Based on the way I tested them with the sliding open/close the keyboard, I observed that Alex > Schap > Quentin.
Which would you choose?

I am happy with the OEM HTC ROM. (After reverting back the radio...of course)

wow. I never knew someone would dislike a huge clock over a tiny corner clock. Especially considering its only using one tab out of 5-6 finger-sized tabs on the home screen. Plus new VM, SMS, and Missed Calls in obvious positioning. Plus you could always stay on the Launcher button instead of the Home button.
But yeah, the default WM6 look is easier for some people.

I'm using Schap's. Not the new one but the one before. Haven't found a good reason to flash my rom yet.

Yup,
Just personal preference, tried all the HTC ones from various chefs, and even tried lots of 3rd party stuff like Spb stuff etc. Still like the default WM6 layout. Saw some awesome customizations of both styles though, and really like the wisbar Vista themed one but learning to cook is hard enough for me,let alone trying to customize using all that wisbar stuff.

I am currently using Alex's multi media ROM. I find it a good compromise between performance and memory usage. Also, the interface is sparse so I can use some of the SPB apps that I prefer.

I never have used anything but the AT&T Rom's since the 8525 days but I finally decided to try Dutty's and I am very impressed. I use the GPS and get a lot of emails so I am a heavy user and the Tilt wasn't holding up but with Dutty's new v4 rom I am very impressed. Its fast, has a lot of tools and my GPS actually works well.
Its fast and responds well. I just wish there was a better phone / contact skin or program.

Thanks to all the contributors to this poll - I have found it very informative - especially info from those that have used most of the roms at one time or other.
It appears as though there should be a distinction between users prefering and commenting on "fully loaded" vs. "Lite/Clean" roms. Could this poll (or a future one) reflect that?
Cheers -

I currently am using the latest of Alex's UltraClean MultiMedia ROM which I have to say is excellent. I get a nice blend of apps that I like using but also have lots of space to spare and the battery life isn't half bad either! I like Dutty's ROMs but just way too much stuff for me that I don't even use.

I like both Alex's Ultra Clean and Q Mobile ROMs. Seems the Q-mobile roms have the apps I need AND like, but with Alex's you can add whatever you want.

I use Dutty's NewBuild Rom N0.6 +NETCF 3.5 AT&T..it seems to be working good enough for now so no need to flash to the dualtouch or whatever latest edition right now. Besides he doesn't have a Tilt version and it's too much work to redo the customization.

I like Alex's Rom which is first for me I was die hard schaps on my 8525 and tried it on here but the speed of Alexs rim even with the multimedia 1.60 its still fast. I have only tried these two roms, and will most likely stick to either or. I love the start Menu on Alex's rom I can zip to any task with out touch.

My sentiment exactly.
I am also running my own cooked ROM, thanks to Alex's tutorial, then I add PaulyA dialer skin "Black Glass by JPL4" that's black and blue - big buttons and much better looking than the stock AT&T and not as drab as the stock HTC, and no useless video call button, and has Talk & End onscreen so I don't have to switch from stylus to Green and Red Call buttons.
