He probably hasn't disabled DirectDraw in S2U2, this causes the screen to go black when waking from standby. (check the S2U2 thread for fix/reg key setting)

DirectDraw shouldn't be the problem as I customized my ROM to auto-disable it.

I have been using the S2U2 build 0.99 since yesterday, so far no lockups here yet, maybe I should downgrade it to a more stable version (have been running v0.96 for weeks before)?

Just a noob with too much free time... Spended my weekend creating my first ROM for my kaiser, still far from perfect, but hope u might give it a try and give me some feedback!!!

Update - Spended the last two evenings (or should I say nights?) as well on improving my ROM, v0.2 & v0.3 have been released! :D

You would be surprised how well you done, masters dont come in one day, and for myself I got a long way to go as well.

when you do an update or add a feature or program to your ROM, could you either highlighted or type in another color so we can see if the changes you made are of interest to us, instead of having to re-flash and go through the pain of getting back our devices to original stage? Just a suggestion.

The first post contains a change log with the differences between the current and last release, new, updated, fixed, or removed items are marked, I have also added some color to them now so that it will be a bit more clear.

I am also planning to release all cab files that I have used on my website, just keep in mind that I also used a lot of OEM packages that you cannot just install on an existing rom. As soon as I have some free time I will post them as well!

Hi Jamezy, did you manage to get your phone back alive? If you did not install HardSPL then this ROM (DCSv0.5) will be useless as it is no official ROM. Did you see the last instructions that I have posted in the WM6.1 thread? Just let me know whether you are able to bring it back alive.

Don't install a WM6.1 radio if your phone does not have HardSPL installed! Chances are that you will brick it & won't be able to recover from it anymore!!!

Let me know which carrier your phone came originally from, and what language was on it. I will send you the link of the original ROM that you have to flash (after putting your phone in bootloader mode) to recover from your bad flash!

AT&T WWE can be downloaded from the following URL: http://rapidshare.com/files/81779938/RUU_Kaiser_CINGULAR_WWE_.exe

Just make sure that you put your phone in bootloader mode before flashing, to do this, hold both the power & camera button, and press the reset with your stylus after which a tri-colored screen (bootloader mode) will appear, then connect you phone to your pc (if possible try a different USB port) and flash the AT&T ROM. Let me know how it goes!
