Many thanx for all my friens Tom_codon,Harshal,misar,bepe,Alex. Thanx guys for your support and great tools.

Finaly I've done it! This is a beta version of rom. We need to test this base rom and catch and solve some problems. And after that i can make another version of rom - touch style with new oem soft etc or based on new wm 6.1 version.

So don't worry about rom build version or coredll version all will be update in future release.

The most important thing that we have wm 6.0 rom now for our gene device:) and that's great!

Coz i have no gene device ..i can only say that testers said that build is stable with 28 mb of free ram on 6 mb paging pool. Itryed to remove more garbage such as SQM/Windows update/btftp etc.. U can easily install it as cab files. So this rom seems to be light version:)

But before upgrading u must:
1) Update your gene with this spl by folowing nirvana's instruction - > http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=360357
2) And only then u will be able to update your device with my custom rom
3) If u don't like wm6 u can easily downgrade to wm5 rom by flashing original wm5 firmware

!!!BE sure that u've installed Patched SPL before upgrading or u wont be able to flash custom rom!!!!

!!!You should also have activesync 4.5!!!

Im also not in the best position to give advice.:) I ran the HSPL according to the instructions,got the white screen then ran the RUU after I copied the nbh into the same folder. I assumed that it would work.

This ROM is bloody quick, oodles of memory left after installing my favourite 23 apps (25MB). Cant find PocketMSN though.

As i said before..this rom is light...So there are no Pocket MSn/Trascriber/AAutoupdate etc. U can install Windows Live Mesanger from cab.

harman_21, very first ting is to take backup of your Gene. Then you need to update your Gene with nirvana's SPL, follow this link (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=1828002&postcount=1), download the zip file attached and unzip it. Follow nirvan's instructions to udpate the SPL.

Once you have updated Gene, copy the .nb file [provided by mun_rus] in the same folder where you extracted RUU_Gene_HSPL.zip and execute ROMUpdateUtility.exe, make sure that your handset is connected through USB to your system. It'll take around 15 - 20 mins for new ROM to get updated.

All ROM updates are at your own risks.

had this same problem on our exchange servers but worked after i unchecked the tick for secure login :) check it out and report if it works for u too

you need to follow nirvana's instruction for SPL very carefully.... although need to try 2-3 times... after that mun_rus's rom flashes nicely and easily (although u need to try that 2-3 times too) got mine to work (both flashes) after about 5 times each

found one tutorial on xda but it is for kaiser.... dont hink it will work moreover, the dev has posted the kitchen and rom base files on megaupload... cant download from it here in india

@njackal... are u on mun_rus's wm6 rom? coz frankly speaking i didnt do much but just installed the theme and tht was it... you can try out a program called black something.... found somewhere in xda (i dnt remember the name nor do i remember whr i found it) (run directly on ur phone) and see if it helps.... if i find it, i'll post it.. sorry for now :)

i faced the same problem but i unchecked the secure login tick in exchange account settings and then it works like a charm... maybe mun_rus or other dev will come up with an update filled with necessary cetificates then we can use exchange with secure login... try it out, it may work with ur company server...

I suspect that most companies enforce encryption with their Exchange server. Can anyone explain the root cause problem with this WM6 ROM, i.e. why it does not allow certificates (probably self-signed) to be added?

Bro atlast it worked , but for me pressing the camera and power aint work .! IT WAS CAMERA AND VOICE COMMANDER BUTTON .thanks any way ! great job..

The phones which was earlier released as dupod d600 , for those camera /power combination works , and the later HTC P3400 camera / voice commander combination works , this is coz of the build version .

hey mun_rus, other developers.... this rom doesnt have any xip.bin? tried to extract xip from the os.nb, it says no xip.bin file found... was trying to combine this rom's sys folder and xip with some other oem packages and build a personalised rom for myself.. (p.s. was trying to use hypercore kitchen)

any suggestions guys?

I am unable to install root certificate and leaf certificate on my Gene 100. Please tellme how to unlock WM6 or way to install certificate. Diplays error "The certificate was not seccessfully added. Please restart the device and try again". After restart it still does not add.

1) It freezes when u connect a usb to comb.
2) no network connectivity if u try a bluetooth pairing with ma lap top connectivity
3) basically no internet connectivity , tried net work gprs - no go . It says connection was lost .... BUT THE WETHER IS GETTING UPDATED:cool:

Why NOT make a lite version of the Current Windows Mobile 5 ROM.
ie.. strip out useless things from the current version.
Like MSN, Error Reporting,HTC Customisations, Cyberon Voice Commander.
Making such a thin client will enable rock solid and lihtening fast performance.
Since you have the proramming skills you can do it for the
benefit of community.

@everyone like me.. I think no one else apart from me is interested in asking about cooking for gene around here :( I don't think any developers gonna help guide us to a nice working kitchen for gene... Other phone forums, people are learning to cook and coming up with their own personalised roms..

Me on the other hand I want to just delete and add few packages in and out of the rom :) and cook an own personalised rom for my gene..

Tried cooking in Anichillus's HyperCore kitchen and did succeed in building a WM6.1 rom but I really don't know why while trying to flash it shows "Flash Write Error" I am trying to learn how to delete I don't need or to add a few packages of my own.. Will surely learn to cook properly through nice helpful people in other forums here and keep everyone posted

Ameet, thanks for pointing me to Orefkov's post. I'm running into problems with the patch though.
- When I take the RUU_signed.nbh that came with Nirvana's Gene HSPL (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=360357), the patch fails and the copied RUU_signed.nbh disappears from the folder. Try as I might, the same keeps happening. I have tried this on a Vista as well as XP machine - can't seem to get it to work.
- On a whim, I renamed mun_rus's lite.nbh to RUU_signed.nbh and ran the cert patch. This time it worked!! However, I know something is wrong.

Can someone help. Totally clueless. If I can't get this to work, I'm going back to WM5 on my Gene.

You have to try 4 to 5 times when white screen comes I got same error but after trying I have installed it successfully....

WM5 Storage 18 works fine in my Gene WM6 and I use Quickmenu and Mortbuttons for my task manager.

I have flashed my Gene with the WM 6.0 ROM by mun_rus, everything was working just fine or lest say it was gr8 until lately:(
I have recently purchased the SatGuide GPS kit which comes with the navigation software , a few maps and a Bluetooth GPS dongle.
I successfully installed the software and the Maps but could not get the GPS dondle to work as it showed an error everytime i tried to pair it with my P3400 . and the instruction malual said that i should have a GPS port present n my cell. Currently my cell does not have the External GPS option under START>SETTINGS>SYSTEM:eek:. Earlier when i was on WM 5.0 , i used to have the GPS port.
Can some body help me!!!!!:confused:

Finaly I've done it! This is a beta version of rom. We need to test this base rom and catch and solve some problems. And after that i can make another version of rom - touch style with new oem soft etc or based on new wm 6.1 version.

So don't worry about rom build version or coredll version all will be update in future release.

The most important thing that we have wm 6.0 rom now for our gene device:) and that's great!

Coz i have no gene device ..i can only say that testers said that build is stable with 28 mb of free ram on 6 mb paging pool. Itryed to remove more garbage such as SQM/Windows update/btftp etc.. U can easily install it as cab files. So this rom seems to be light version:)

But before upgrading u must:
1) Update your gene with this spl by folowing nirvana's instruction - > http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=360357
2) And only then u will be able to update your device with my custom rom
3) If u don't like wm6 u can easily downgrade to wm5 rom by flashing original wm5 firmware

!!!BE sure that u've installed Patched SPL before upgrading or u wont be able to flash custom rom!!!!

!!!You should also have activesync 4.5!!!
