I say we all lobby HTC to replace our Kaisers with Diamond or Diamond Pro. And we help HTC with future testing efforts. I mean, can you imagine how many work hours we can save HTC Quality Assurance if we tested their brand new unreleased stuff while enjoing our new Diamonds instead of flashing ROM endlessly ;)

I've got this to work on the X51v, but even still can't seem to get over 2.00 FPS, with over 20 megs of Available RAM. I know for a fact the hardware can do better than that, but I have yet to even modify anything yet. Any ideas? All I've done is install the cab, and copy over both dll's.

With my HTC Touch Dual with standard rom and stuff, I just hit the 1 fps with over 45 mb's of ram. But the program doesn't fit to the screen, leaving only one number of the clock within the screen. Is there anything I could do about this, cause I really wanna see the rest of the GUI if possible :P

all i did was check the dates to see what the newest files were...
im kinda not wanting to get back into code. so im avoiding it like the plague.. didnt do anything special every...
i just know how addictive it is. and i dont have the time.

i copies over the files from the patches into the right locations,
used qvga images. and used the dlls that were in the top directory.

restart did nothing...

i used the altel rom.. then installed a telus rom over top of that.

im realy not wanting to play with roms. this is the only phone i have now. and i live far from my family and also need my phone for work. so i cant realy chance messing up my phone.

3.replace all the files on your phone where you installed manila (in your program files), just snoop around the manila folders.. theres not alot, you will find the right places.

Below is a CAB file I made that does the procedure above. It does run on my Titan around 3.28 FPS. But again, everything you touch in the slider at bottom does open the calendar. But if anybody has a fix, I'll try to repost new cab with that fix...

Simply install CAB, and soft reset... It also does seem to be off track a little, but when you open another program, say calendar, and then close calendar, the manila will be back on track...

looking around to find out what is the status of HTC concerning a probably new drivers release for the devices with Qualcomm 7200 chipset, i've found the file below, which should contain a new User Interface code name MANILA.
I'm sure most of you hear about it.
Well, i've been trying to install the file, but in some way i don't get it, even if I edit the cab and write a new setup.xml. May be because I have the Original O2 ROM on my Orbit 2, i'm not sure at all

Could some of you try if the install works on your cooked HTC Roms ??

I might have read before that it needs plenty of free memory and then it would work. I think if it's cooked in a rom it has a higher chance of working.

What device do you have, and what ROM are you running? It may be possible to cook a ROM with manilla in it to see if it works.

there's other alternatives but they won't even compare to the real UI on the diamond and touch pro. from what i heard this is history all over again when dealing with htc back in the day with older devices

You guys should try removing the software-rendering libgles_cm.dll that the Manila .cab installed so it uses your hardware one.

Yes. I have got it running and it works well. I dont know how much fps cause the fps counter disappeared when using the new .exe. I think its about 30 fps now. Good work to herg and chainfire and others working on the 3d driver/manilla (hergilla) project.

You have to install the d3d driver from www.htcclassaction.org..... instructions are on the site.

This may have been done already so pardon question. There are obvously two main issues to resolve:

1) Performance

2) proper fit and finish for Qvga phones like the kiazer , I think this has allot of imact on why when you touch anywhare you get the calendar, because its not correctly sized.

Hence my question, have you guys looked at the configuration files for x, y, Top, Left settings and made sure they are correct for our Non diamond devices?? I bet Money that once those settings are corrected (along with Qvga images) then when you Touch the Mail Icon, you will get the Mail page and so on..

I looked at them briefly and of course there are many of these, but here is an example entry from the manila.m9 config file:

THis work OK on my Kaizer but slow and clickable area isnt correct.

I'm not sure what is causing the slow rendering issue of course :)

I'm running 6.1 #11 and LOVE IT! RUNS great on my X51V and I like most of the extras...don't get the "modem" add-in though???
ANYWAY- I can't get the HTC Manila to run AT ALL, with or without the .dlls!
