Call me a Nerd when I am wrong, but open streaming on Youtube and the mentionned other sites (either through IE or Opera) do not require the same settings as saving a flv file and playing through TCPMp no?

Could you try this? Save flv file and try to play without direct streaming.
I presume you used Alex CAB fix or was there another missed fix for flv?

I just downloaded a 5.33MB flv video from YouTube to my SD card, and it played fine for me.

Yes, I did use Alex's cab fix.

Also, I have always done this using PIE, using the Video Sites page to link to the different sites. I have never tried with Opera Mini. And at this time, I don't have Opera Mobile installed.

I like Microsoft alot, but I don't enjoy having my PPC running their hidden customer feedback code with the current 6.1 leaked betas. (not to mention that I find it slower than 6.0). Once HTC releases a WM6.1 ROM w/o customer feedback code enabled by default, I'll be making another HTC ROM...

I had heard that 6.1 fixed the key delay and was a faster ROM. If it is slower then I'll stick with WM 6.0.

I am leaving ATT as a provider soon and want an HTC version, I guess I will try your ver 5.0 HTC Games then.

I personally use SPB Mobile Shell, Pocket Plus, Diary and Insight. I'd be installing the Games ROM myself if I was just using my ROMs instead of making them. :D

If you ask me i think that all today plugin type software should be installed in to your main memory....even though some say they work from an SD card I always install them into my main memory and I have no issues with freezing or lockups. YMMV....:)

HTC Voice Recorder is not in this ROM as I see it as redundant. Microsoft's default note application w/voice recording is. Activate using long press PTT button to record, let go of the button to stop recording & works great as a dictation device...

I'm not sure what you mean by 'set up' for MSVC. You can still install the cab and assign it to the PTT short press button rather easily.

So, my issues seem to be blue tooth related: Can't play music over blue tooth stereo, and I cannot activate voice command over blue tooth.

I haven't really tried out MSVC, so I'm not quite sure what works. I have heard mixed results in previous ROM threads though, leading me to believe that it might be a setup problem and not a ROM problem. You can check out my older ROMs to search for an answer too.

I never liked having to press a button, then touching the record button on the screen and then have to press the screen again to stop recording, which is why I've never liked the HTC Voice Recorder. If you want it, you can find it in the wiki under downloads (all HTC software).

:confused: :confused: OK, i have the v.51 of Alex's ROM, and the Bluetooth Explorer is not working, it will not even power on. Every time i try, it just turns itself off in the Control Panel - Bluetooth (Sorry, i kinda did alot of upgrade/mod, so the desktop is Vista like.....) Anyway, i pulled the CAB file of the Bluetooth Explorer, and it is still not working. How can i resolve this? I have even tryed to reflash the ROM. And nothing.

Interesting. I didn't know this. Maybe there is some reading somewhere i have missed :(

That is cool way for quick personal messages. I may reconsider. although I do also have occasions I am recording somethign lengthy, say a meeting, and I wouldn't want to hold the button down for a long time. I'll experiment.

This may explain why I cannot get anything to go to the long press on the PTT button. Although when I do press it I don't see anythign indicating somethign is happening. I'll check and see if I still have somethign assgined to it through AE buttons.

BTW...if anyone does try to install HTC Recorder, there are a couple versions out there. The one that is on the list of HTC CABS from Dutty's site, that one doesn't work.

Well I am stumped and could do with some help.

I am using Alex.v5.WM61.HTC.302.Home.ROM.beta2 with vodaphone UK radio on Orange UK network.

I just cannot get video calling to work. I can get the option to do it but the phone just does a normal call. Both my phone and the receiving phone are in a 3G area.

I have tried the Nadavi skin and about 5 others.

Is it something in this ROM that stops video calling working? Is there a registry hack to enable it?

I have tried advanced config 1.1 and 2.0 to set and unset video dialling enable and phone skins etc.

Any advice will be most welcome.

Just an FYI...I got my music going, and the MSVC communications through blue tooth. Sorry, I can't tell what I did to fix it. I did severl things on the phone during breaks at work and couldn't test it at the time, but when I got to the car it was working.

I need some assistance.. I cannot seem to send any SMS messages with the new 5.2 rom. I have tried the home and cube roms with the rollup cab fix and alas no results. It shows the message as being sent but my test phone I am sending it to has no messages. I can however send a mms message to the test phone. I am using the Tilt NC model. Any help is appreciated.

Just wanted to post this, not sure if its just ROM-related or just WM in general but when DST hit and my phone did its whole automatic time adjustment thing, my appointments are now an hour ahead. Not that big of a deal for me to fix because I don't keep that many appointments but a pain to re-enter everything nonetheless. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks for the suggestion but no go. Now whenever I make a change in the calendar, my sound settings change from silent or vibrate to normal, which strikes me as odd. I'm just going to re-sync my appointments and hopefully this will fix itself.

i did a simunlock and then a hardspl then i installed the rom. would ne of those have taken the contacts off my sim? i am not sure how to add the contacts back to the device using active sync. I don't think that i synced my contacts. i guess i should put the sim into another phone to see if they are still there

You could also install KaiserTweak and make sure that 'hide sim contacts' isn't enabled somehow. It shouldn't be enabled on this ROM...

Even though I change my backlight to 5 min if no action, it still goes out in about 10 sec.

I can't get MMS to work on your latest cube version with the all-fixes cab installed. It will not send the MMS stating "error synchronizing." I've scoured the ATT settings for the tilt and all seems to be setup correctly.

I have been using sucesfully the Cube ROM for 3 weeks now. Mostly no issues at all. BAttery perofrmance is so so but all the rest is great in my experience.

Some minor issues I'd appreciate help with:

1- I installed Threaded SMS (works great by the way), but it repalced the left softkey with SMS so I do not have the organizer shortcut any more. I searched for the exe to link it (with Scha[s advancedCofig), but could not find the exe. Alex, could you tell me where is the exe so I can re-assign it? By the way I noticed Alex you changed to have new task,.. but did not go all the way to have new contact like it is on other ROMs!

2- I have a strange bug that appeared with large title bar. Every time I click the title bar it shows the large icons for a fraction of a second and then shows "connectivity bubble". So I never have time to click on any of those icons! One of the consequences is I cannot access voume control. Could you also tell me where is the exe for this? An alternative is to remove it....

Though I am happy with my 5.2 Home Rom and want to stick to it, I just found out that the hardware buttons on the keyboard; FN + Wifi do not initiate Wifi enabeling.
Neither does FN + Open Documents works.

Has this been identified by other users, and if yes, what is the rsolution?

Exe is \windows\htcactionscreen.exe. The reason why I don't have it set up to goto new contacts is that I have PocketCM installed by default, which doesn't have the capability to go directly to create a new contact (afaik).

The american keyboard doesn't have these items at all. Have you tried the TyTN II keyboard fix?

u probably are using schaps advanced config. menu/about
the most current is ver. 2.02.1.0.0 i think. No, it's not on the stock rom.

I recommend the use of Schap's Advanced Config and KaiserTweak (see the Links (http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Alex%27s%20ROMs#Links) section of the wiki). The only reason why I don't cook them into the ROM is because they're updated too frequently, which would mean you would mean that you might have an outdated version in the ROM, making the ROM slightly outdated too...

thanks for all the tips. I did end up removing large title bar as well. At the end of the day all reminders are actually available through left soft key. Would still like to have another shortcut to volume control. Is this an exe available somewhere that you know?

Also, onto my next few problems:

1- Bluetooth with MSVC 1.6


I am using the latest MSVC 1.6 (I think mine is v 1.6.17913)

Unlike some people call annoucnements ARE working for me though BT headset! But when I click on my bluetooth headset, I get a static in my hear and screen switched to the dialer, nothing else.

I must say MSVC works great from the handset itself. Also, I used to be able to call Cyberion voice command from my bluetooth headset and get the command prompt.

I have read so many threads about this around this Forum. Some older posts claim you need to change some registry, delete some, but I foudn that all those registry were as recomended already without hacking.

This is what I did so far:
1- One thing to mention is that the version comes already with the btVoicecommand setting, and I enabled it.

2- I removed the shortcut for Cyberion vocie command form startup programms.

3- I noticed that the registry peole recommend to change to Path ="program Files/Voice Command/VoiceCommand.exe was set for me to "Path=/Program Files/Blue Tooth Voice Command/BTVCBasic.exe".

4- In testing to execute BTVCBasic.exe form the explorer, it gives an error: "THe file BTCCBasic cannot be opened. Eitehr it is npt signed witha trusted certificate, or one of its components is missing...

5- But there is a programm in the same directory called "BTVoiceCommand.exe". This one works and prompts me for a command in the BT headset when executed from the explorer!!

6- So I changed the path to point to BTVoiceCommand.exe...to no effect! Nothing changed, still get the noise and dialer on screen, ntohing happening...

7- I read that you could also replace some files, but foudn this mixed with other instructions that seemed to be related to earlier builds of MSVC...

Has anyone been able to get MSVC to work through BT with Alex 5.2 ROM?

2- I have not installed a radio after flashing your ROM, assuming it came witha radio. Have people been experimenting with other radios (AT&T network in the US). I have foudn my battry life to be so-so, Bluetooth quality to be so-so, adn some more (few more) calls dropped compared to some other ROMs.

3-I think somebody asked already but could not find an answer, how woudl I direct the email link below the HTC Home clock to take me directly to my main email account ("Desktop" in my case, this is how bbconnect calls their account automatically) instead of goign through the lsit of accounts?

4- Anybody else using bbconnect and succesfully conencting with networked apps through Medianet?

5- Date display on top bar. I like to have the date there, but the year is cut, like I woudl see today '12-Mar-0' isntead of 12-Mar-08. Is there an easy way to move the date/time to the left so it is not over written by the "cross" to clsoe the programs?

Despite all those small problems, I enjoy the ROM very much and I have had quite a it of otehr things I was able to do as well. I will report when I am really happy wiht my customization in case it helps some out there!

But, I think maybe the key is having the correct button set to launch MSVC. I have the PTT button set to do that. Now, I've read, as you have, in the stock roms that you replace the Cyberion app with the MSVC app, that is...I think...that if for example the PTT button is pointing to Cyberion, then point it to MSVC instead.

So I suppose one question may be "Is the voice app on this rom pointed to the PTT button?" If so that explains why it is working for me, becasue I have the PTT button as the active button for MSVC.

The american keyboard doesn't have these items at all. Have you tried the TyTN II keyboard fix?


The only one i could find was the Tilt KB fix which did not brought solution as the layout vs. UK/Europe versions Tytn is different.

Though the Tilt fix works , it would be ultimate great to have the buttons linked to the righht application.
Anyone any advice?

Hi, I'm new to the whole ROM thing, but I successfully flashed the v5.2 Cube ROM to my tilt. The only issue I have found is that maybe once other day or so my phone just stops sending and receiving calls. Sometimes I have one or two signal bars, other times they just disappear completely and can't find the network. I've also noticed that MediaNet is occasionally shown as connected when this happens, though I don't think the connection is actually sending any information. All the problems go away after a soft reset, and I regain cell service again. Any help to figure out if this is a rom issue or a hardware issue would be great!

thanks. I assigned MSVC to the long press PTT button. It works fine when I launch it form there for me. Announcements through blue tooth headset also work fine. But what is not working fine is calling form the bluetooth headset. If you click the headset, it is supposed to launch the Vocie Command prompt and let you dial, or any speak any recognized command. Unfortunately, I cnanot do that one.

I spent the hwole night looking at this yesterday, but no luck so far. Another Alex ROM user reported the same exact thing on another MSVC thread. I read so many not sure which!

There hasn't been any reported issues with permissions issues, so I'm really curious what ROM you're running :)

QuickMenu came with the ROM, I didn't realise it did the exit menu too. Sometimes when I clicked the icon, a menu popped up listing the tasks - there were orange X buttons for each process. Once it had drawn the menu though it crashed the phone. I killed Quickmenu and the problem went away (Although now when I click the icon top right of today screen to try and close apps, nothing happens). Also, in some apps, there is corruption of the task manager button (see pic 2)

It is, but it doesn't replace the right button, except on the today screen. The screenshot you took is clearly Task Manager.

Custom font again, isn't me. I've just started playing with changing default fonts myself, and it's never been released in a ROM or cooking kit.

I'd like to help you, but I'm not sure where to begin :(

I used tomtom home, which kept crashing, then when I did get it to work, insisted on reinstalling everything. I guess you can probably put cabs on your sd card, but I only have a 6.010 DVD - it's just annoying that they don't provide downloads. I should probably look around for a torrent of it just to get the latest installer cabs from that :/

Try disabling the proxy in the connections manager, I haven't been able to get the proxy working correctly but I can connect to the network and Yahoo mail without issue so long as proxy is disabled.

OK, I really am using your ROM now. All appears good (Seems quicker than L26, yay!) but I do not like the setup of the "organizer" Screen - I mean the main reason it is needed is because "New SMS" is like 5 button presses within the mail menu, so why would anyone want to remove it from the HTC Action Screen menu??

I cannot install a regular version of HTC action screen ("Insufficient System Permissions" error) - how do I get this menu back to the default settings??

Have you installed the fixes cab? It changes everything (except contacts) to new. Check out the wiki for what it does and for download links.

i keep on losing my contacts. my wife has the same phone as mine... so i hooked it up my computer here at work and all my contacts have taken over.. i don't think she will be too happy with that. is there and easy way to copy contacts from the sim? sort of like a sim manager? i am having a tough time with the contacts.

I doubt your contacts are stored on the SIM, the phone is most likely using Outlook contacts. If you have home, work and other numbers for each contact it is not in the SIM as the sim only supports one name one number AFAIK.

I have had no problems, but I have an exchange mail account and all my mail and contacts are wirelessly synched with the server.

So the problem is not with BT explorer, it is the actual BT radio turning off?

Do you have mortscript, phoneweaver, rlToday or other apps which can mess with BT installed?

Actually, what happens is the bluetooth radio stays on, but when you go into the settings to try to turn on the Explorer, you can keep checking the radio box, but the thing will not activate. All the other functions of the bluetooth work, cause i still send stuff to the computer, and use the headset....

I have used the Bluetooth explorer with other ROMs, and it worked fine. So i was a little surprised that this one does not work.

A SIM cannot store different number of the same contact. The workaround, as you say, is to do like fred-h, fred-w etc but these are different contacts.
I am kind of curious as to why you are using SIM contacts? They have limitations (eg phone numbers only, limited name length, no address, photo, birthday, etc, etc) - do you have linux or a mac or something instead of a windows PC?

Did you have them from an old phone pre pocketpc? if so, what you should do is open the SIM contact and click menu in the bottom right and select "Save to Contacts". this will save it in the pocket outlook database which is synched with your pc and is backed up when you back up your PPC.

Just a quick note to say thanks Alex. I have been using your Alex.v51.WM60.ATT.162.Home.ROM for three weeks now & it's fantastic. Every issue I had with my original Tilt rom has been solved - especially the most annoying - the occasional freezing & lack of response. My Tilt is now faster, has more memory, more storage space, better battery life (especially in standby), not to mention some cool new software. Anyone with an AT&T Tilt that is hesitant about ROM upgrading, stop hesitating & try Alex's ROM's.

THis has not been answered when i download rar and seperate what file do i change the nbh and /or exe. file and do i leave exe. on there or take it off ,is this file include recaminded radio. Or do i ned to download that seperate and in what order. I never tested Alex's Clean or Lite Roms. Tried Cube and Home, and at the moment, liking Home + a few tweaks. I really can't answer about the audio on that.

I just installed Skype on two ROMs here the Home edition and the Cube. Skype works flawlessly. If you have not used a VOIP program yet, download Skype and test. It works with any of Alex's ROMs! where Skype will NOT function in most ROMs out there including Schaps and Dutty's.

Usually, no sound = wrong radio version. Did you change the radio version after you flashed Alex's ROM? Alex's ROM only works with the AT&T Radios, specifically the 14.09 one I believe.

I have been getting the PPC Networking error when I sync my phone. It syncs fine but that message pops up every time. In an effort to diagnose the problem, I found on my Connections screen, the only connection listed is MediaNet. There is no work connection.

Shouldn't there be a Work connection listed? Could this be what is causing the Networking error? Is there any way to correct this? I've done a search, but did not find anything.

I am relatively new to this so bear with me....

For some reason, when I attempt to send an e-mail from my phone via my Cox account, I cannot send. I can receive e-mail on that account as well as my hotmail. I can also send and receive SMS and MMS. I read through the posts and have disabled my Media Net proxy to no avail. I have checked and triple checked my account settings.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It is not in the Add/Remove because it's part of the ROM and not an installed application. There are a few posts within this thread that talks about this.

As for FFF, just go into the options and check the box that says something along the lines of setting FFF as your default contact manager. Worked for me.

I have looked at every post in this thread at one time or another but I could have forgotten about what I'm asking or saying - but after playing with things on this ROM I agree that Pocket CM is built into the ROM so you can't really remove it but we might need Alex to answer this for sure -- best I can tell there is no Microsoft Contacts .exe file to revert to with registry changes or manually even if you wanted to. Thus, best I can tell you pretty much have to use Pocket CM as your default unless you install something else.

If you really don't want Pocket CM, you might try the multimedia, the lite or the clean ROM. I'm currently using the multimedia ROM, and have found it to be fast, stable and reliable. I've added some shareware and a few purchased programs, and it works like a charm.

I can't seem to get the touchflo cube working on my 8925. I have it enabled, and when I try to start it from the programs directory it says its already running, but nothing seems changed. I'm new at this whole touchflo thing. I would would be grateful for some help.

Outlook contacts is there, if I click "Outlook contacts" in FFF, it opens the contact in the regular outlook contacts just fine.

The reason that I ask is that FFF *IS* set to "default contacts app", but HTC launcher opens PocketCM when you select "Contacts". Other apps seem to be fine - if any other program launches contacts it does so with the default contacts app - FFF.

I suspect that it is just HTC Contacts that is hard wired to launch pocketCM - I could deal with not removing it as long as it never ran.

Hope someone can help. I've loaded the Home ROM (vers 5.2) on an AT&T Tilt. Loading was successful and uneventful. It seems to be working fine during the day - although I've had some problems with BT and pairing to devices, like a Jabra headset and a Garmin GPS (both took about 10 times pairing before they paired successfully). Hope someone can help. I've loaded the Home ROM (vers 5.2) on an AT&T Tilt. Loading was successful and uneventful. It seems to be working fine during the day - although I've had some problems with BT and pairing to devices, like a Jabra headset and a Garmin GPS (both took about 10 times pairing before they paired successfully). I am seeing a similar thing. I have neither Pocket Express or Worldmate installed.
For the last couple of mornings, the graphics on the screen have been corrupted.
Imagine if you separated a bitmap of the screen into rows one pixel high, each row is offset to the right of one above, tearing the image almost beyond recognition.

Dear new-comer. Alex would BEG you to read his WIKI first before asking a question like that. You can't flash like you do and you WILL need to invest at least a few hours to understand how things go. The answer is out there , just read-read-read. Look for "Hard SPL "to bring you on the right track. Amen.

A few questions,
The camera app only has an option to send images via email, not MMS, and when I select it it seems to freeze up. Anywhere from 30-60 seconds later while doing other tasks, the messaging app will suddenly pop up. Any idea how to fix this?

Is there no Windows Mobile Update utility included with these ROMs?

This may be specific to the Arcsoft MMS app, but it doesn't seem to like sending MMS messages while backgrounded. If I return to the homescreen, it stops sending whatever message it was working on sending out.

Alex, how do you remove the taskbar software that pops up the larger icons when you click the volume icon? Apparently this is what is breaking the ability of the jog wheel to change the volume in calls.

PocketCM doesn't read contacts from the sim card. You'll have to load the contacts manually into PocketCM or d/l the cab in this thread to use the default contact manager (thus giving you access to your sim contacts).

That's the only thing that's missing. When I do use a cube, I prefer the commercial ones over the ones that are freely available.

I do admit that I gave up on free cubes quite some time ago (circa November, using SCLP 1.60 and Byka's)....

I love the simplicity and convenience of your ROM's, but I have used the last three (of various flavors) and I am having a problem with certain areas of my screen switching color. When it happens, I have to do a soft reset. Is that normal? It sometimes goes three hours or three days, but I must definately soft-reset every third day or the phone is totally unusable.

BTW, I also have a problem with the Today plugin locking my phone.

Install Alex Acrsoft MMS 5.0.31.7 on Full Rom and it locks up. Read threw all 87 page and did not see a fix. I notice that Alex remove it from his rom and reverted back to old version. Hey Alex, I must confess you have an absolutely fantastic ROM.:) I have used quite a lot of the cooked ROMs out there, but I simply love this one. Is it possible to add in Video calling to your ROM ? I know it is based on AT&T ROMs which don't do video calling, but having it would make it even better esp. for those of us in europe.;) Does it have to be cooked in or is there a CAB out there to install.:rolleyes:

I have hade th home rom goin since release. The only thing that has truly bugged me about this rom has been battery life. It chews through the battery fast. I have set the stowaway service to manual and think that it may have solved the issue. I did set other services to manual, but the stowaway was the last i changed and it seems to have fixed things. All other functions work except readin the contacts in the stored phonebook.

When I enter anything with spaces in it into the Live Search bar on my Today screen I get really screwed up input into the search engine. I've run into this when typing a URL into the browser twice already. Other than that I LOVE this rom.

My problem...
I entered "Papa Johns Tacoma WA" into the live search bar.
What showed up in the google search was "Papa%u0020Johns%u0020Tacoma%u0020WA"
I have installed all the fixes with no luck. Any idea what could be causing this or what the hell to do to fix it?

I've been using a sweet little program called 'SMS Chat', which can be bought for $14.95. I don't know if it does MMS, but it sure does a nice job with threaded SMS, with a nice interface. I bought it at this site:

I am a relative noob to the forum but fairly experienced user and I have spent many, many hours reading this and other threads.

I have flashed my ATT Tilt with Alex Clean ROM (which I think is outstanding - and I did donate to his cause).

I have one problem - I am experiencing random vibration/weird R2D2 noises from the phone at 15-45 minute intervals. I have all notifications off; I have cleaned out the notification queue with SK Tools. I have hard reset the device and reflashed the ROM and the exact same thing happens. I am using the stock 1.27.14.09 radio (and I like it's possible extended battery life).

It is unrelated to messages/emails/phone calls/power settings/notifications...

Is there anyone who has a thought about this?

Well I am stumped and could do with some help.

I am using Alex.v5.WM61.HTC.302.Home.ROM.beta2 with vodaphone UK radio on Orange UK network.

I just cannot get video calling to work. I can get the option to do it but the phone just does a normal call. Both my phone and the receiving phone are in a 3G area.

I have tried the Nadavi skin and about 5 others.

Is it something in this ROM that stops video calling working? Is there a registry hack to enable it?

I have tried advanced config 1.1 and 2.0 to set and unset video dialling enable and phone skins etc.

Any advice will be most welcome.

Yes, but make sure you:


Install HardSPL first,
have a dump of your ROM to revert back to,
after flashing,
run through the connection setup wizard for your carrier settings,
and finally, install the TyTN II keyboard fix (found on the wiki).

Transcriber takes up a lot of space, which is why many people remove transcriber out of their roms. You can find that cab anywhere if you do a search. Try out this cab. If this doesn't work, search for another one.

I have partially answered my own question - it is email related. Despite removing all sounds/notifications, etc. whenever I enable either my exchange sync email or any other POP3 email the noises and vibrations begin. Again, any help would be greatly appreciated? Are others having any issues with email?

Hi all, first off this is a great rom, lots of interesting things to play with.

I am running the Home ROMs 6.0 version. I cannot get my plantonics BT head set to work on the Att tilt, i searched this thread and Axel's wiki for a solution, the BT ear piece works great on my 8525 running V3g's rom and was discoverable with no problem.

The Tilt will not see the Ear piece when I try to set-up a relationship, I used to BT explorer etc etc in this rom but got no where....

Any ideas ? or point me in the right direction of a thread that i need to read...

I notice something, i dont know if its been discussed already,
I have the full rom on my tytn2 and i notice sometimes just sometimes if i leave the phone charging over night either by computer usb or wall charger, when i use the phone the first time the screen had this freeze thing doing on certain parts of the screen where u cant see what your doing. The phone works cause if someone calls and u press green u can asnwer the call but u wont see anything on the screen or just a section on the screen showing the phone program and that will freeze too

I've been lurking for a bit, and I've now flashed my tilt with alex v5.2 cube and I'm kinda digging it. however, prior to flashing i backed up my contacts to my sim, so of course pocketcm doesn't recognize sim's, and i've read the posts that it doesn't work, yada yada yada. my question is, prior to flashing the tilt had simmanager.exe (or something like that) that allowed me to copy my sim contacts to my phone....which seems like pocketcm would then be able to use and recognize. now sim manager is gone. You see where I'm going with this? Is it possible to just find the sim manager exe file and use that to transfer everything over? I've installed the kaiser contacts fix as listed in this forum, but, i would really prefer to use pocketcm....yeah, i just don't want to have to retype 130+ contacts by hand....

Hope you are well and youi still read those old threads!

I have been a fan of your 5.2 ROMs for a while even if now I am on 6.1 ROMs.

One thing I could not find anywhere which was in your ROms are the cabs for:

- HTC Action
- Quicklist (for longpress end and longpress power)

I can find balck & white versions but not the color versions you had in 5.2

Could you point me to a cab for those?

I don't know if anyone is reading this old thread but I am still using the 5.2 ROM as it has been absolutely problem free for me. At this point not sure I see advantage with 6.1, but that is for another thread.

Quick question. On the dialer screen the two soft keys are Menu and Contacts. Is there any way to have the left soft key be Keypad to bring up the six box menu at the bottom of the screen? Right now it is only available if you initiate a call and then hang up.

did not help.. can you explain how to use it- i just installed it to my card and i have not seen any changes and it does not appear in program files ! and nothing changed in keybord linkage

No do not install the cab..... Just take a cab ride to Alex's home and ask him that question personnaly.... budy.... when the ROM title starts with "Discontinued" why can't you comprehend the possible consequences?
