Yes, same here. You can open the file in Audio Manager, but you have to do so manually within Audio Manager. I encountered that problem and went to the File Association tab of Advanced Config. HOWEVER, that tab is not present on my phone.

So, perhaps there's some connection between a file type we can't open and the inability to modify file types. But, I'm not gunna pretend like I know :)

i downloaded Advanved configuration again, and used file association then removed it, i dont think it will be a smart idea having two different versions on the same rom... i re-assigned every audio and video file to WMplayer.exe and even after removing advanced config this are working fine. just dont forget to soft reset...can someone please confirm it also.

go here and download a radio version on your PC, then flash it like you did with this ROM, ( Same Method). Depending on where you are, you will need to experiment with few radios until you find the one with best reception. However, the radio version 1.27.12.17 might be best for your use.

I've noticed that when you're on a call and there's a 2nd incoming call, if you put the first on hold, take the 2nd call, then hung up on the 2nd, and press unhold to get back to that 1st call, you can hear the other party but the other party can't hear you. Anyone had that same problem?

I prefer not to give any release date for final version at the moment, as I don't have free time those last days, and there are so many Kaiser WM6.1 ROMs now, so... I will come back when I will have something really new!

Even if I'm working on WM6.1 4.40 ROMs, I will continue to release new WM6 4.3x ROMs, as Windows Mobile 6.1 is not publicly available yet and there are a lot of incompatibilities with 3rd party softwares.

I will continue to make multilanguages WM6.1 ROMs as soon as I have enough free time and new sources...

Does this build flash to a part of the ROM that 6.0 builds don't as this is the only thing I can think of that would cause the GPS to fail. Does anyone have any ideas how to resurrect the GPS?

my gps did not die but it took a much longer type to start, start with GPS tool and it will take some time to lock into satelights but the next time it was much much faster. Hope this works with you man

I've left it for ages and nothing :-(. From what I can see, the GPS hardware isn't even being communicated with as when I use GPS tool, no log messages appear. I'm sure that when the GPS was working, the log messages would come up, even when I first switched on the GPS and I was indoors with no hope of getting a signal.

try flashing ur stock rom and hard reset then if it didnt work take it to the repair. many downgraded from 6.1 to 6 again, havent seen this problem reported so maybe its just hardware, hope u the best man, and keep us posted please.

Already tried that as well :-(. I've flashed older roms, different radios and nothing has worked.

No your not. I have the "hanging up problem too" but it is not specific to this ROM or radios. I dont know what it is, but I was running 4.40 and now the 6.1 DCS and its the same thing.

Also with the keyboard issue, try making sure that all of your apps are closed, then run the fix program, the soft reset. It should work.

Schap, great rom once again.

While using 4.31 (WM6.0), I noticed the following problem. I installed Resco Explorer v6.17, followed by Ftp add-on, then registry add-on. On SR, when I tried to double-click a registry key, it won't run. So I tried to un-install the registry add-on but can't. Even after ininstall with SkTools, still same problem. If I proceed to install over, installation fails.

I'm facing the same problem with 4.40 beta.

I'm not sure if this is due to the fact that you have a registry editor cooked into your rom?

Maybe I'll try again, this time round, without the registry add-on and double click on a stored registry key and see if it will run.

Hope to see the release version soon! Many of us are waiting.

Got the certificates installed and it now allows me the option to sign and encrypt messages in the ActiveSync advanced options, but whenever I try and send one out, it doesn't work.

Excellent Product. But No sound output with all WM6.1 ROM's only not working. Only worked with 1.27.12.11 ROM. I use ATT Tilt in India without VGA Camera.

To date I have no issues with this ROM whatsoever.

A must for me is the Remote Sim Access and some chefs are leaving that out :(

Then put this cert on your phone and open it from the file explorer. Enter in the password and it will install into the WM6 cert manager. Then go back into activesync and enable the certificate.

YOUR SERVER MUST BE RUNNING SP1 of Exchange 2007 though and your CERTIFICATE must be exported to the GAL. You can export your cert to the GAL from within Outlook 2007 via the Trust Center (or something like that). Once you set up the cert in Outlook, there should be a button that says "publish to GAL".

Who are you using for your S/MIME??? Comodo works best in my experience.

One other final note... your default "reply to" email address for your exchange mailbox must be the same as the email address that you are setting up on the phone in the email address field and it also must be the same as the email address on the cert. This might seem ridiculously obvious, but I have seen many make this mistake.

I tried again. This time round, after the initial setup was complete, I installed immediately Resco Explorer, followed by registry add-on and SR. The problem is gone. I guess the issue could be a case of me installing cabs after cabs without SR after each install that caused the problem.

First thing you need to check if your phone have unlock-CID and HardSPL. If yes, then go on and upgrade anytime you want.

Yes, this is the right rom for AT&T tilt. All the roms mentiond in this sub-forum: Kaiser > Kaiser upgrading etc are for AT&T Tilt.
However, you need to check if your device was CID unlocked and have HardSPL installed first thing to flash.

Just to know, are you using a french HTC TyTN II with a french AZERTY keyboard ?
Are you able to use a french hardware keyboard with the "Fn" and "accents" working ? Because all the previous azerty tricks worked fine for the simple alphabet but don't if I want to use the "Fn + Space" on a "e" to switch it to "é" for example. same fpr "c" to "ç".

Guys I've been using Schap's rom for a few days now and I love this rom just about perfect for me. My battery life is almost 100 times better than the other roms I have been trying out. I only have one problem that I've been working on for over a day now and can't seem to find the fix that I need and trust me on this I've been reading. My MSVC 1.6 works great for calls and announcing calls through BT and everything, but when I try and play music via a Voice command I get this error:
"Voive Command.asx
The file "voice Command" cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of its components cannot be found. If the problem persists, try reinstalling or restoring this file."

Now I'm not sure if its another program that I have installed that is causing it to error out or if it is the ROM/Radio as I have been reading in other post. I've had Dutty's installed and it worked fine and Sleuth's and it also woked great. I did not have to delete files in the registery on Schap's rom, because I believe it did not come with voice connect so the files to delete are not there. Does anyone know of a fix for this? I can't seem to find one.

I learned many things in this forum,as i have a Qtek 9100 and a HTC TyTN II.
I cid and simunlocked them. Flashed new ROMs,Splash Screens.
Im now creating my sex sexy splash sreens,and at this moment i will use Schaps Beta ROM to cook a super beautifull ROM for my Kaiser.
Love your work Schaps.
I have the biggest respect for all the greatest minds i find and read in XDA-Dev.
I hope i help all ya with any thing as i found help here.

I had a older radio, i install the rom and everything work well. the only thing i had no sound what so ever. when i call people no voice. play music no sound. had to upgrade my Radio to 1.27.12.11 and it fix the problem. of course i reinstall the rom after i updated the radio and hard reset just to be on the safe side.

Guess what! I got another noob question! I tried searching this time but didn't really get the answer I wanted soooo...

What's the point of changing/flashing different radio versions? Currently I have 1.27.12.11, if I change it will I supposively have better reception?

Just wanted to say thank you for this ROM. although its in beta i haunestly do not find alot of problems. so far i found one problem that i cannot fix. but every thing else is just great. you are great, so i just wanted to say thanks for a wonderful rom and i do hope we can see many inprovements in the future.

First of all.. I want to thank you for the great roms youve made. Im using 4.30 atm on my new tytn 2. Ive used your roms on my old tytn earlier too, and I have always been happy with the quality of your work! Thank you indeed.

I will only request some minor changes that I think is important. Many others might think its a great idea too...

What about a interface to add cities/remove from HH_Weathercities.xml at a prepatched Schaps rom? Only need some tweeking in HTC Home 'code':-)

I've tried to patch the HTCHome.dll file in a WM 6.1 system myself, but its not the same as in WM 6... I cant patch the file and get it working anymore... The PDA is going crazy when i try the old method.

At least, I want a prepatched system so its faster and maybe a bit more possible to make changes to the Weathercities-file.
Hope this isnt too much to ask for.

BTW. Just one question..
As mentioned, im still using the 4.30 rom. I think its a great rom, and still loves it. It suits me very well. Just one thing that may ruin the 6'th star. Video calling doesnt work :( When i try to call with video-calling it makes a regular calling.. And not just that. I cant even access options for video calling. And third of all... I really want a better 3G dialer. A black and maybe a bit more tidy one. Think the regular dialer and the purple video-dialer should
been updated a bit ;)

Now ive released all of my fustration ;-)

You have a HERMES device, not a KAISER. Search in Hermes forums, and read for hours before you try install any new ROM on your device.

That's because you have wrong radio version. I have radio 1.27.15.32 working with this ROM. However, I would like to ask Schap ,! what is the best radio version , that will work with this particular build.

This is not for 8525, you need to look under Hermes (http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=355) forum. Also read wiki (http://wiki.xda-developers.com/), it has information about how to load from SD card. Good luck, and dont flash this in your 8525!

ok i tried using the advanced config tool to change my weather to my current city, with all the other ROMS i was able to just put the zip code and it would work, with this ROM this doesnt work and i get an error trying to retrive the weather information.. anyone knows how to change this or fix it? Also any news on the final release?

Certainly you didnt realize the last post in this thread was 2 months ago and theres no point waiting for any future Schaps releases under this forum He has had an HTC Diamond for the past 4 months, left us hanging for releases, and doesnt keep up with us Kaiser users anymore. Sorry for all who donated expecting a new release :(
