im not uip to scratch on rom working,

but iirc a base rom is basically just that, the camera requires additional software to work.. its not part of the base core rom

big capacity is because this rom imgfs starts from offset 0x320000 not 0x610000 and also use lzx compression.
wizardservicetool can't change this rom's pp coz of imgfs offset change!!!

I'm running this wm6.1 rom and i must say it's quite a bit faster on my device. the only bummer is that it won't play mp3/wav files or sign into live (i sync my contacts with live messenger) but i'm quite happy none the less.

first off, nice quick job you just have done! :D

I've been working on Bepe's development pack with some I confess...troubles. Now that you released this one, I tried to dump out the ROM by using Anichillus Kitchen but XIP part is not working at all. It says that xip2.bin is missing.

Any idea on this one? Have anyone here tried already dump it?:p

For some reason I am having alot of problems with this rom. First, having aot of freez problems and secondly, my signal is very weak, has 2.7.11 then flashed the cingula5 2.5.

uestion, did you downgrade to a lower, cleaner rom then upgrade to this one?. (this one meaning the PDAViet one)

I personally see nothing spectactular as of yet. I have tried the PDAViet rom that has bugs out the wahzoo and freeze very often specially doing simple tasks such as browsing through directories.

I will stick with XDAr5 wm6 for now thanks to mFrazzz. Another thing that just absolutely urks me to death is that PDAViet got rid of the new task manager and forces you to use a 3rd party taskmgr.

The PDAViet is cluttered with several apps that are not needed (to adjust setting). I will be waiting for our cookers to do thier shizzle for some real quality roms. The only thing that I really liked was the camera app, it was quick and the picture was the best I had ever seen.

I tried it for a little while, seems to work fine here (the PDAViet one). However there isn't enough of a difference to make me give up my current ROM and transfer my setup to wm6.1. I had read that wm6.1 is faster but I didn't notice any real speed difference. The new apps are nice to have but certainly not necessary.

Camera works for me. All I did was map a button to pictures & video, and from there choose camera, takes pictures and all.

a better method is:
- copy camera.exe from windows directory
- paste a shotcut in windows/start menu

Do we get new functions and such?

yes... there is something new...
when you want to write a text message theres a new layout... you can see the textmessage, which the person sent to you, and the one, which you are writing... i love it!

but i don't know something else!

- I'm trying email123's rom now, but it seems that the OK-button/X-button in the top right corner isn't working! I have to press it about 10 times till it reacts?

Any1 got the same problem? And more important, does any1 know how to fix this?

- I like the new way of threaded text messaging, but it doenst count how many characters you typed anymore! (only when replying to a msg)

- The touch scrolling is also very nice!

- Crazy that some people have the problem of the not working OK/X button, and some don't.

what's new in Windows Mobile 6.1:

- Office Mobile now includes also One Note Mobile application
- Internet Explorer now has function "Zoom Out" what enables page-overview mode and better overall navigation through web pages
- Windows Mobile 6.1 still is based on Windows CE 5.2 so no upgrade to Windows CE 6.0
- SMS chat view mode is available so SMS messages can appear in threaded-way - more comfortable to follow SMS conversations
- instead of "Settings / Memory / Running Programs" now a Task Manager is available with possibility to set settings of executed threads/processes like CPU (indication of dual-core Windows Mobile devices?) and memory
- New menu item "Managed Programs"

not much so kepp waitting for wm7 (but can wm7 still run on wizard?)!

Vanilla WM6.1 from email123 feels somewhat faster overall than average wm6 rom. Also I've noticed new option in settings: "Domain Enroll", which I think should connect device to windows domain. But I've not tested this yet. Many bugs from WM6 are fixed by default (wi-fi works, no problems with bluetooth, shows name in sms instead of number, etc.), finger scrolling is also working by default.

I don't have problem with X button to which some people referring here. I'm using this ROM for 2 days only, but overall experience is good. I've noticed a few random hangs, but it seems that these problems appearing due to incompatibility of some programs with WM6.1. I'm running now only with minimal set of software and interface feels sleek and stable.

Very Interesting, very interesting indeed.... the x button thing... I have the problem... even installed WKTask to use as the x close function... most times when I press and hold on the top right corner its the same as click and down to pull up the quick programs menu... or somtimes it pulls up the wktask menu like its supposed to without the hold, just the tap.. sometimes when I tap there twice, it highlights one of the default plugins (second one from the top, whichever one is there at the time)... seems like a touchscreen driver issue to me.. as posted previously...

since I just installed it tonite... I will keep you guys posted on any other bugs I can find... and believe me.. if there is a bug to be found, it will happen to me... hehe...

thank you for the chance to check out the latest OS for our wonderful wizards... I look forward to actually installing a "fixed" version of 6.1 from any one of our wonderful cooks...

Im not a senior, and im not a programer but i had a question...

Too much senior members on this thread, so... its more helpfull.

I have a pdaviet runing it has a battery drain issue, casue it has overclock default on reset, but i have disable it, still fast but still battery drain.

On this version... .19716... does the IR works? does the cube works? does the Audio manager works on htc home? whats going on with it! i'll try to upload it and test it, PDA viet has to much images, like vista seems a little ridiculous, but has to much fixes! are great roms but why?

Mr. tnt has too much works for WM6.1 and definetly works amazing but to much issues, stupid issues but it has problems, htc audio manager on htc home, the face cube contacts, IR, its so basic screen images, so boring, but stable and fast, oh! no battery drain issues.

So is new .19716? or what? ...february 2008? we are on June 2008 and still on 19400, 19213, 19588, so is this build new?

Thanks in advance, i would like to be a great coocker like y'all.

Just, concentrate in a WM6.1 that dont have battery drain issue, with this new build, icons like viste its just a pretty interface, but make works IR BL and wifi, stability and speed, all the app. like hybernate, screen capture, sms patch, bluetooth or wifi search, etc aren't functional.
