Hey Rohv great work, I have been with you following your work on itask since you first started and posted over at Lakeridgesoftware, since your very first release of itask and have always been a big fan. I just wanted to take a secound and say thank you for all the time and hard work you have put into this project. I know how much time and effort you must have put into this so thank you for that......., great work...

You have come along way since the very first itask release, the new iTask animated 0.92.5.29 is just awsome, the flash / animations on everything has gotten really nice and fast. keep it up.....

P.S = if you ever needed any help with some of the graphics or buttons (whatever) let me know I would be glad to throw togather some Button / icon packs or maybe some animation popup windows. I made a simple button pack - back at the beginning after your first couple release versions but they were pretty simple and I didint spend alot of time on them..

1. Already had Flash Player Mobile installed
2. Installed MortScript an ran mortscript.exe
3. Unzipped the itask._..._.zip to \\
4. Double clicked server.exe
5. Double clicked itask.swf -> message above appeared
6. Reinstalled Flash, wasnt sure if I had the proper version already
7. Double clicked itask.swf -> message above appeared

Do you guys have an idea? Any help is appreciated a lot!

Nevermind. You just have to download Flashlite. I just assumed the link on the second page was the write Flash player. Now it works...but...I have some questions:

1) What is the purpose of the snap-shots of the screen? Is it for the transitions?

2) In the front menu on the bottom (3rd from left), I made that button to execute S2P, but it loads slow so the Windows loading (circle thing) comes up. Any way to get ride of that?

After three days I've finally read every post and I have to say amazing app. I started looking for apps and themes for my HTC Tilt a few days ago and came across quite a few iPhone imitators, but this one is much better as far as graphics and speed. The only limitation I can see is that it's written in Flash.

Great program, but all those short movies eat up alot of memory. I had close to 30 mb free before installing itouch and it dropped down to 3mb. I also have WisBar, an iPhone theme for it, all of A_C's stuff and all of the PCM stuff. Most of the apps are installed on my storage card so I'm not sure if that is the problem. I may just have to delete the WisBar for now while I play with itouch (or can someone suggest a good free drive cleaner that will get rid of all the crap that gets left after uninstalling software without searching through the reg?)

Feedback: Contacts doesn't work for me either, and I have about 40 or so, so that shouldn't be the problem. I am running PocketCM so that could interfere, but only if they are both running at the same time, right?

It's really not that hard to edit, people just need to spend some time reading the posts and not just trying to plug and play. Don't worry about building a settings program, if nothing else, it's educating a few people about how PPCs and Flash work.

Also don't worry about trying to put in everything that everyone else wants. Without building an entirely new OS, you will never be able to make a PPC look and perform the same as an iPhone, it just takes up way too much memory and would most likely be really buggy. Besides Apple didn't make their interface entirely editable and cater to every users wishes, why should you. It's your program, you build it how you want (though feedback is good, otherwise you wouldn't get fresh ideas).

Job well done so far, and I can't wait for the next version.

Second :-) I'm editing the input.txt and want to look the output with firefox. I load the file and I see the output. Unfortunately I ony see the text. The pictures above I CAN'T see. Thats really a pity to have an preview without the pictures. Does anybody has an idea to solve my problem?

...so I installed Flash Lite and spent the last hour or so customizing it to my device, and I have to say that this is one beautiful app. Nice and smooth, great animations, cool built in flash games...loving it much. Took quite a bit of tinkering to get everything where I wanted it, but am very happy with the result (besides, I'm a hopeless tinkerer anyway).

I set this up with fTouchFlo to launch with an upswipe. No more cube for me...this has taken over as my eye-candy launcher program. Hell, I'm actually going to leave it up and use it as my main home screen for now.

Hi everyone,

I have taken the liberty to create a cab file for new users so that they won't be asking "Where's the root folder" or "Where to download Flash Lite" etc.

Steps:
1. Extract the zip file to your PC
2. Copy the 3 cab files to your device
3. Install Flash Lite 2.1
4. Install Mortscript
5. Install iTask

Reboot, itask should now open whenever your device starts up with server.exe running first, you do not need to manually open server.exe or itask.swf . If you do not want this setting, navigate to \Windows\Startup and delete itaskstart

If for whatever reason you wish to uninstall this great application, you can do so by navigating to Start\Settings\Remove Programs\ choose "Rhov23's iTask" and click remove ;)

It's that simple. Cheers! :D

You technically could do this, but it's always better to keep Flash as an exception in FTouchFlo, because majority of the .swf files use gestures. You could use the minimize app and have it preset to a key, or to one of the left/right preset gestures in iTask.

Thats exactly what I want to do, to use the left or right gesture.
I use S2U2, and if itask simply puts the device to slepp, the s2u2 is very jerky because flash is still running.

With my cube, its a swipe up to open, and a swipe down to close.

With itask, I swipe down to open it, and would like to swipe either left or right to close it completely, ending the flash process, as you say, using the minimise app.

I just dont know what path to put in it....

Also, can anyone point me towards downloading some more flash apps/games?

finally I figured out that I need the Flash Player to make iTask work, and I am pretty impressed! Very nice application.
But I wonder if it is possible to expand/shrink the size of the iTask window if I change the screen orientation?. I have a slider (HTC TyTN II, branded as a Vodafone VPA compact IV) and I use the keyboard a lot.

You have to launch the .swf file. It should be inside the itask folder in your root menu. Just click on it in file explorer and itask will start.

All that is needed are:

1 - an integrated setup program - should not be too hard as the pic capturing program has the framework needed - click and just pick the program to execute and time and label and your done.

I must in the same breath concede that my concern is not (completely) altruistic. The thing is, I need people like you to make my mobile do the cool stuff that you make your programs do. I am disabled when to comes to programming skills.

Looks like FlashLite3 might resolve some of the sluggishness problems with contacts etc.

Just extract the itask zip file to your device, not storage card, and the itask.swf should be in the itask folder.

For all of those who aren't getting the right advice or help........ extract the zip file into the 'MY DEVICE'...... open the folder and inside is the itask swf...... click open and there you go...... many applications don't work, or you'll probs have to assign things yourself.............

Try assigning it to a button.

Please don't get upset if I change something on each release, or that it is hard to modify. I know all this, and it is in everyones interest to make iTask work smoothly in every way, before making a good settingsprogram. If not, the settingsprogram would need changes every time I modified something in iTask, and that would slow down the whole development progress.

This is a development-in- progress app. This means you can use the beta, before the final release, and I get some feedback on bugs. Thankfully some in the community has taken a keen interest in sharing feedback, and therefor iTask Betas are still coming pretty often.

I know it's hard for some people to edit the input.txt and I hope someone with programming knowledge will be up for the task of creating a settingsprogram for iTask when I come to 1.0. I do not know much programming, only Flash.

-New solitaire! (this took an awful long time to make)
-Added 4 search functions to write
-Added urls.txt: rss feeds addresses should be put here
-New loadani.exe: Screenshot app. Takes screenshots of all your apps and saves them as the appropriate loadani. Start the exe and see what I mean.
-Many small fixes

MODIFYING:

-Input.txt is where you do all text/execute modification.
All buttonimages are adressed in this file by numbers from 1-X, from the top left to the bottom right. Same with text, executelinks etc.

-Buttons should be 40x40 pixels.
Background images: 240x320 pixels.

-All jpg files MUST be NON-PROGRESSIVE. Keep the file sizes low.

how do you install this program?

Dude where can i download Flash Player, once i go to the Adobe website i only get transmitted to pages how good Flash player is :S.

I want to know where i can download Flash Player 3.0
