This one :

it uses a chipset that is more efficient than sirfstarIII, quoted max battery life in full use being around 25 hrs, loads of standby time. sposed to be dead quick too...
uses a mobile phone battery i think, and c/w car & wall charger
price varies enormously, so do a lot of searching, watch the P&P price.
brilliant unit... i've also seen forum posts saying it's, er, streets ahead, of the tomtom sirfstar one which is double the price.
never understand why we've been bleating on about the lack of in-built gps ariel for the TD... I much prefer seperates, and the battery life is better than using in-built anyway.

Heh, mainly because having a cable charge your phone, a cable charge your GPS receiver, a cable charging your ipod and a cable charging the kids DVD players in the back gets a bit much.

maybe because of the extra charges of buying a separate GPS ... not to mention the trouble of carrying around with us. and of course, it'd be another little toy to play with eheh

so you prefer your battery drained double quick then - it's small and light & i never notice it in my pocket, where it operates happily if needed.

the one I hot linked uses the SAME mini usb connection for charging as the touch dual.... and the battery, as i said, is good for around 20 hours.
and you'll get a nice in-car charger if you don't have one already
So that's why I made my statements ;)

incidentally, I accidentally left the GPS receiver on since Sunday. Noticed today (end of Thursday).. it was still functioning :D, albeit with the battery indicator flashing. Now that's impressive standby I have to say....!!!
