The Holux 236 is very old. Much better Konet BGL-32, newer, more accurate and better battery times.

I use my old Artemis with GPSgate on it - it's plugged into a power supply in the boot (trunk) of my car and stays on all the time. My Elf conencts to it like to any other bluetooth GPS, except that because the Artemis is always on, I always get a fix instantly. And even in the bottom of my boot, I get full strength signal 95% of the time!
