New thread. I'm sure the answer is out there buried in the 68+ pages on the ROM flashes...
I flashed with the current
Titan Unlocker,
It then resets into the rainbow screen.
The HARD_SPL wouldn't flash
so I went to the dcd_titan_2.1.0_vzw.exe and flashed that.
Then I upgraded the radio to the current version titan_radio_3.27.00.exe
My device gets all the way to the OS and is fine... As long as it is hooked to the USB.
If I unplug it, the device starts rebooting itself.
when i get the OS up should I try and install the HARD_SPL?
Directions for updating the flash and ROM and getting GPS enabled are scattered about 10 threads over 2 sites. It's confusing even for experienced users.

I remember reading that someone had a similar experience. They said the problem was caused by not using the unlocker. When you flashed the new 2.40 unlocker, did it run a batch file (did the command window come up), or did you just flash a .nbh file to the device? The batch file is the right way to go, and at least one of the new unlocker versions is an executable file that runs the batch file for you. That's the way to go.
You can put the device into bootloader mode by holding down the power & camera buttons and then resetting w/ stylus. Then connect via USB and try to flash the new bootloader again.

problem is that you need to flash the unlocker, which it sounds like you haven't done.
there is a Titanunlocker.bat file that you have to run and follow all the directions carefully! Once that is done you'll have the new hard SPL and the reboots will cease. I had the same prob, and yes the answer was in the 68+ pages... but now you and others don't have to search for it.
THE KEY IS TO CAREFULLY FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS WHEN YOU RUN THE titanunlocker.bat FILE! YOU CAN'T JUST FLASH IT COLD LIKE YOU CAN A ROM!

I had EXACTLY the same issue you're having right now.
I cannot recall exactly which thread it was, but I found a different HardSPL flash from PPCGeek forum. (they're samething, just differently packaged)
When I used that, flash went through without any problem. Try search for the PPCGeek forum.
And good luck. ;)

installing the newest unlocker worked for me as well. weird thing is it would only reset once i unplugged the usb cable <shrug>.
Oh well its been up for 10 min now ....unplugged that is.
Thanks to everyone for helping out.
btw, the recent unlocker is listed right there in the stickies. However do not grab the one from "flashing for dummies". that is the 1.20
