which would you say is better opera mobile or opera mini?
matrix77
2nd February 2008, 06:31 PM
Opera mobile is better but opera mini (free java program) saves your money on GPRS bill, because all traffic is over the Opera's servers that strip down the size of Web sites. The same page takes you more KB in Opera mobile than in Opera Mini, so if you are using GPRS, Opera Mini is better.

for some reason when i install the trial version of opera mobile and run it, the logo appears but then vanishes....and nothing comes up? oh and does the trial version have restricted features or is it just a 30 day time limit?
oh and would you be able to post the correct opera mobile link that'll work on the vox, cause i tried the one from their site and the problem above persists....thanks guys

HandiTV is is excellent. It buffers up in the HTC Streaming Media application and once you have a fast enough connection if streams nicely.

On their website (http://www8.garmin.com/support/collection.jsp?product=010-00579-00) you have to download and install "Garmin Mobile XT Support Files" and you'll get voices.

I didn't try that but it seems that we can't record phone calls on VOX, look what are they saying on that thread:
Unfortunately, some other models, for example, the otherwise HIGHLY recommended HTC Vox (aka HTC S710, Orange SPV E650) do NOT support call recording. (Just ignore if somebody states the opposite – unfortunately....

Yes, unfortunately the Vox has changed hardware that makes it more difficult to capture both sides of a conversation, though I am sure it will be worked around some time.

Sure can, Microsoft Voice Command does exactly this, you can have your full text message read aloud, incoming calls read aloud and e-mail subject and senders read aloud.

Thank you, I didn't know such thing existed. Sounds good, even though I don't need the voice recognition features (all I need is having my messages read aloud). I'd love to try it first, but could not find any trial version -- is there any?

No, I do not believe there is a trial of it. I will give you a PM when I get home with some more information about the product.
