Bit early yet isn't it? The rumour I just found here (http://wmexperts.com/articles/rumors/windows_mobile_61_coming_with.html) claims that Microsoft will announce it this month with devices shipping in May so my guess would be some time after May. HTC did release a WM6 update for the Artemis so at least they have a history of releasing in-the-field upgrades.

Does anyone have any idea how long after the official Microsoft release of WM6 was the HTC release of WM6 for the Artemis? This would give us some idea of how long it takes HTC to get one of these field upgrades out.

I am waiting for cooked rom with 6.1

Will a cooked ROM with 6.1 be possible before an official HTC release? Does the cooking process require an official ROM image (for both technical and legal reasons?) as one of its raw ingredients?

They working in progress and try get for all peoples in polaris forum have fatasic rom.
Don't worry and take for them some times only :)

HTC released the Artemis WM6 upgrade in june for the asian market. European update came in october for some unknown reason and was a lot worse than the asian WM6 release. The australian ROM I used for some time with my P3300 had GPS Photo enabled, the european ROM had this feature disabled.
Note that WM 6.1 is not a major OS update so it won't take that long IMO. Not that WM6 was such a major upgrade :cool:

OK. I'm glad to be wrong. WM6.1 still isn't officially released by Microsoft though is it so are these based on a beta build of 6.1?

Some reports I saw quoted WM6.1 as being a worthwhile speed improvement over WM6. The page I saw was auto-translated from some other language but if I understood it correctly then I think they were talking about the soft reset time, in any event it was something that took 50 seconds on their device with WM6 was only taking 30 seconds on WM6.1.

Is there any feedback coming in from Kaiser users about speedup with WM6.1?
