How to flash to a new Rom

Hi,

I am new to the whole ROM updating thing.

Can som1 plz post detailed instructions on how to flash to a new rom.

plz, dont give me a link to a diff thread, i tried and am confused. give me new instructions, maybe also with pictures, i have been trying to update to dcd's roms for the last 2 weeks but am having lots of trouble.

i didnt get much help right away but i managed eventually :P

so...

the things you need is a unlocker, a custom bootloader, the rom you want to flash, and an updated radio to use the rom.

for the unlocker/custom bootloader you want to find a thing called
"Hard-SPL-240-MFG"

then in there run "titanunlocker" that will unlock your phone and install the newest custom bootloader.

after that you phone should get past the bootloader, and maybe freeze on the splash screen, if not do a hard reset (hold the power button and the 2 softbuttons at the same time)

flash the rom you downloaded.

then flash the new radio.

theres a couple vital steps in between though, and i dont feel like writing a full instruction right now :P

if you pm me your msn ill walk you through it.



-dont use vista , its possible to use vista just a lot harder.
-what brand is your phone, who is the provider.

ok, heres the important part.

you need to make sure you have your PST info writen down, because if you lose that you wont be able to send/receive calls.
