a driver is a program to make a surden piece of hardware work like a video card or soundcard
you have to be a bit more spc about what driver you are looking for

maybe even ask in dell's forum where that model nr mean anything to people

You are unable to find Vista drivers for this Dell model, b'cuz Dell never shipped this system with Windows Vista.

Check here (http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/driverslist.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=gen&ServiceTag=&SystemID=INSPIRON1300/B130&os=WW1&osl=en&catid=&impid=)

If you try the drop-down menu to select OS, you don't have Windows Vista listed here, that's why you couldn't find the drivers.

But you hardly need any driver to be installed manually. Unlike XP, Vista has native drivers for almost everything, Video, Sound, Chipset etc. It has them all.

So, you hardly need to search for drivers. If you still face some issue, lemme know, i am good with Dell;)

Cheers..

same was the problem i thought existed as i have acer 5500z which was not shipped with vista.
but the xp drivers for wifi, bluetooth, lan and sound worked perfectly with vista.
for display there was no need as vista has in-built support for video.

the only thing which i miss in vista and u'll probably too is the power management software which is more useful than anything else in notebooks.
hope it helps.

dell dont make their own hardware stuff apart from the pcb and the case
so dell dont really make drivers if
they use a realteck audio chip a realteck audio chip driver for that chip will work and so fouth

so find vista drivers for all things in the laptop and you're set

I think the OP was just saying he needed all the drivers, they are out there but all individually scattered. If I find a resource I will post here. I am currently looking for the video driver as aero doesnt work. Everything else worked fine. The drivers are installed and up to date a.t.m.
