found a solution, but isn't smart enough...

Use maniac's Automatic Keylock (http://maniac.fschreiner.de/)

Set Screensaver Option On and make some changes in registry...

can you post a link to which ROM's thread you're using?

The newest driver should disable the stick when the keypad is locked. It has been this way with every new ROM since Andot's Perfect.

Did you format binfs when you upgraded your ROM?

It would be great but doesn't work with Nitro's Platinium AFTER binfs formating - I mean joy is still alive! :)

Well this is very odd. The driver should disable the stick when you lock the keypad.

Which version of Nitro's are you using? Link to the thread please.

Considering that a 6.1 ROM won't actually be made, OEM, for the Tornado, you're unlikely to see a new joystick driver.

For you guys, I might suggest you search the forums for the various drivers and see if an older version might work better for you.

BTW:
Exactly what variant of the Tornado are you guys using? What was the retail name on it?

I'm using a Vodafone V1240, and like others mentioned before, when the keypad is locked, moving the joystick turns on the screen and backlighting. I'm using Nitro's Platinum Edition (including SP1). I have a habit of taking the phone from the holster and moving the joystick to turn on the screen and see if I've missed anything.

Personally, I never found it to be a problem - I've been incredibly pleased with the battery life of my phone, regardless of what ROM I've used, so either I have a Super Battery, or I never bump my phone in such a way as to turn the screen on. Of course, if it's SUPPOSED to do something, and it ISN'T, I become a little concerned.

The problem I've always had is with the keypad lock unlocking without me telling it to. I keep it in the holster that it came with in the box, and I wear it on my right hip, and I found that almost every time I drove my car, when I'd get out I'd find that I had wound up dialing someone at random and letting them talk to my holster. Sometimes it would happen when I'd just be walking around; I'd hear a beep, pull the phone out, and lo and behold, it's dialing my voicemail. I'm damn near religious about locking the keypad before I put the phone in its holster, so I'm sure I wasn't forgetting to do so. I eventually solved the problem by putting the phone in the holster with the screen facing in rather than out; since I started doing that I haven't had a problem with the phone unlocking itself.

I've just flashed Ntiro's ROM and can affirm that it's happening to me too. It's a problem with the driver.

Either the driver wasn't implemented properly with this new version of WM6, or he's using an old driver.
