nah, im running ultimate x64. it just seems every other time i hook it up, it says error in windows mobile device center. and when i transfer music in windows media player, it always messes up on the like 5th song i upload, and i have to continue form where it left off...i dunno hopefully it will work.

probably something to do with your sd card.
Try remove it and do some soft resets

I put in a arcsoft MMS
But it will be a update to v5, I just need to pull it out from a official wm6.1 rom first. (most likly a cab)
But while u wait 4 that, try find a cab (higher build u can find, will be most likly the one u get to work)

And now when I go back into the brightness settings it has gone back to just 3 options, this is crazy.

Also was that supposed to read 'I will put in a arcsoft MMS' or 'I have put in a arcsoft MMS'. Its also probably a good time to let you know that it is in your list of included apps in the OP.

The backlight issue is probably your phone since your the only 1 with this problem, Try this registry hack mayb it'll work for you

Enable Microsoft original Backlight and Contrast Settings applets
Many OEM replace the Backlight and/or Contrast settings applet by their own versions:
Compaq iPaq 3650:
OEM Backlight applet, same as original but with a Brightness tab for iPaq special purposes. Removed the Contrast applet because contrast settings are not supported on the iPaq.
Casio EM-500:
OEM Brightness applet that replace both the original Backlight and Contrast.
Added the ability to set different brightness values for battery and external power operations. Removed "Turn on backlight when a button is pressed or the screen is tapped" settings because it is not supported, replaced by the Auto Dim settings.
The included contrast in the applet system does work, but the device acts as the opposite of what it should (Dark is Light and Light is Dark).
HP Jornada 548:
OEM Backlight applet, removed the External Power tab the "Turn on backlight when a button is pressed or the screen is tapped" setting for Battery Power
because these settings are not supported. Now here is how to restore the Microsoft original applets on any Pocket PC, note that most settings OEM have been hiding with their own applet does not work anyway the OEM applet(s) will still be available in the Settings.
For the Backlight applet, browse to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ControlPanel\Backlight\
Rename the "Redirect" value to "Redirect disabled", you could just delete it, but renaming it makes it easy to go back to the OEM setting.
For the Contrast applet, do the same with HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ControlPanel\Contrast\
Open the registry with a registry editor and go to:
\HKLM\ControlPanel\Contrast
And rename the key Redirect by xRedirect, then soft reset your Pocket PC. You will see the new control at Start\Settings.

So i was running touch it 2.3 and updated to this rom. So i did a hard spl and then flashed this rom without flashing the official ruu.. Am i missing anything by not doing that?? Other than that the rom seems to run fine, havent really dove into it just yet.

guys, im having trouble. when i hard spl'd the phone, i forgot to install the 3 cabs and hard reset. it looks like the hard spl completed sucessfully, but now when i plug in the phone to my comp it wont detect it. the upgrade program dosent see the phone. i installed all three cabs on hardspl and reset it, an it is still not detecting it. any ideas?

upgrade utility says error 260: update error...

so yeah as far as the light issue goes i have to to... i am using a t-mobile wing... which may be the cause, but home screen gives me 3 options, backlight has 5 options but only 4 are useable... might just be a wing defect with this rom... and maybe im blind, maybe im tired, or maybe im just dumb... but where can a subsitute MMS program be found... with the new roms im using tmomail.net sends in all messages via MMS (for some odd reason instead of through regular text) so getting that back would be a huge must for me... would hate to flash WM6.1 only to go back to 4.4 a few hours later :(\

EDIT: i did some diggin on modaco (http://www.modaco.com/content/HTC-Wizard-Wizard-MoDaCo-com/231492/Arcsoft-MMS-MISSING/)<---- (link to where it was found) and 3 post down it appers this guys had the same problem on his wizard but went diggin through the ext rom on his phone, copied everything in it to his mini SD and ran a cab called Default_CAB-shortcut-CDL-08Sept05.CAB which had the reg settings for MMS in it... so im just going to reflash it to see if i can get it unburied by itself... or tonight go digging for buried treasure... only problem here... his post is circa 11/05 so it maybe a little dated but its a start

How do you send an MMS? SMS and MMS are in the same folder, but there is no option to add any multimedia files. I tried selecting a file, and chose "send MMS" but it just links me back to the Messaging menu. Any ideas?

Something interesting to go with his question. So, your post makes sense, however, when I install and load Wisbar Advance 3, it shows the icons in the program, but non of the text. Everything kinda whites out, same as the touchflo icon. The same thing happens with the volume and settings bubbles (no text).

Another thing struck me this morning. Before I got to bed I held the powerbutton to shut the herald down, answered yes and it shut off - I thougt. Now it seems It wont shut off, just goes into sleepmode as if I pressed power quickly.

Also if I end a call by pressing the red-phone-button the unit will reset. This does not happen if I end the call by pressing the tocuhbutton on sceen or if the other parts hangs up.

Any thoughts?

Also, I'm not 100% sure since I only had this new Rom for one day but it seems like the battery life is alot shorter than touchit 4.4
And some programs are not in the "start->program" folder, such as HTC album (wasn't in the multimedia folder either)

So I flashed this rom last night and have played around with it for the day now and must say that this is one of the best running roms I have used. I am also overclocking to 299 without a buzz or any problem.. my wing is like lightening! All your hard work is appreciated ITJE!

The batterylife is not bad, it's back to normal. But the battery life in your old rom (touchit 4.4) was so good. Are you guys getting the same battery life as the touch it 4.4??

If both of these issues are just happening on my wing, then I will reflash tonight.

heres a funny error. When i go to the device info page on the settings, it refuses to show stuff like my radiorom, which i wanted to see. Speaking of which, does this have the newer radio?

How do you send an MMS? SMS and MMS are in the same folder, but there is no option to add any multimedia files. I tried selecting a file, and chose "send MMS" but it just links me back to the Messaging menu. Any ideas?

but just a few things i've found that are buggy,

-HTC album has no link
-seems as though Battery Status is psychotic, it'll drain 1% a minute for 20 minutes then Soft-reset and you've gained bay 15%
-the backlight problem the other guy had, 3 settings
-using the backlight shortcut from HTC causes the rom to crash

but overall, i love this rom, its a good 50% faster than any of the previous roms i've used

can't wait till a lite version, definitely not a fan of voice commander.

Try this one it might help:

Go to Windows Folder With TC or Resco and serch for the file OMAP850_SDHC.dll and rename it as OMAP_SDHC.old.
Press yes if it asks if you are sure.

Then do an Softreset and it might work, for me it workt with an erlier Rom-version.

I´ve solved the above problem by flashing the rom twice one after another, and it it s the double flashing that solves it. Just for testing I put the stock ROM back and then flashed once - same problem and flashing again got rid of it. Strange but now it´s working.

hey, im having a few issues, not sure if anyone knows how to fix this...but...

any way of fixing touchflo will work, after installing the x-button cab?...i get that useless box thingy.

and with the new threaded sms, after a while, it like shows a half of a box for typing, so after the first line of replying to a message i cant see what im typing....

and finally, when i hold down th power button, and shutit off, it dosent accually shut it off, but just turn off the radio. so ususally when i have to restart it, i have to softreset.

and ideas on theese?

I have found an issue with the HTC Programs screen (not sure what it is called, but it is the button on the Today screen that takes you to the programs- looks like a grid with 4 squares). Three times now i have found the Lock Device and delete program buttons mysteriously gone and only 8 buttons there. I soft reset and the 10 buttons (with lock and delete program buttons) are back.

Is there a way to lock the phone so the slider does not turn on the phone when locked and turned off? I have locked all the keys but cannot prevent the slider from powering up the phone, and wearing the phone in the holster and walking is causing it to stay powered and lose power quickly.

I downloaded plamp - it's small and it does the job. But it has no installer to it, since it's only an .exe file. So how do I get it into the launcher? I can only put programs there that appear in the list - and plamp doesn't. Is there a trick to it?

Has anyone else encountered this one? I disabled data connection using comm manager and got the warning that Direct Push would also be disabled. However, I was then unable to reenable the Data Connection in Comm Manager and can only get my Exhange Server to connect by going into E-mail and selecting Send/Receive. COnnecting via GPRS is the mssage displayed. At that point the Data connection in Comm Manaer again shows "On" but the account does not receive e-mail unless you select "Send/Receive"

Wow, this is a nice Rom. I wish I could keep using it.

I noticed a few of things.
First the simple one. There was no shortcut for the HTC album in programs.

Second - Email setup will not allow for manual from the start, I had to trick it so that I can setup gmail to use imap.

Third one made me go back to Touch-IT 4.4. I would get "the remote party has ended the connection" when ever email tries to "send/receive". I'm on the AT&T network. Works fine through IE and I can browse the Web. The email is just weird. v4.4 works fine.

Anyone else getting this? Is there a fix to the "the remote party has ended the connection"?

OK, so I am really diggin' this ROM. A few questions.

I have flashed a few iterations of this ROM before and how you set things seem to change. First off, being as this does not have the TouchFlo cubes in the ROM, is there a way to get that on it?

Also, is anyone else having issues with the upper right corner of the screen not responding correctly, it is virtually imposable to tap the 'X' in that corner, it taps the bottom right...???

And, as far as setting the weather reports to Fahrenheit, how do I do that, the way I did it before was with the TouchFlo setting and I cannot fond that on the device.

Any help would be great.

I've had this rom since the release date, and I have noticed a few flaws.

Programs don't end when you tap the "X" button. I installed Quick Menu, and within the settings of QM I tried putting "short press close, long press minimize" for the "X" button, but still no go.

The whole HTC Home cut off that marscandybars just decribed, occurs with me as well.

The data connection stays on and constantly drains data even when nothing is running. Previous ROMs would not have this issue.

TFSettings in the program menu gives me a Blank screen, completely useless.

RAM starts at 20MB and goes down QUICK. I usualy soft-reset once every 1-2 days.

But the ROM is still fast as hell.

TFSettings in the program menu gives me a Blank screen, completely useless.

RAM starts at 20MB and goes down QUICK. I usualy soft-reset once every 1-2 days.

But the ROM is still fast as hell.

The issue with Direct Push Loss is killing me. Switched to the BLACK version to try and avoid, but it is there also. Need that one fixed or I have to revert....

Same here as well. I've grown accustomed to being able to send/recieve pics and videos to friends and family with Itsblack 6.0. But I also love the responsiveness of Itsblack 6.1. But in my case, functionality is more important that speed. I trust the MMS issue will resolved soon, but in the meantime, I have reverted to ItsBlack 6.0.

BUT since TocuhROMs WITHOUT CUBE - the x-button is NOT working and the only fix is x-buttonworking.cab!!

And after it was asked again and again in EVERY release of ITJE - you can understand why people like ITJE anda also me are really unhappy when things are asked again.

the reason i am asking is that i dont really use any of the other apps (like touch etc) but if there isnt any performance loss with having it there then there really is no need for a lite-version, imho

Yes there is, if you mean the hardware keyboard. I´ve been using it with both TouchIt 4.4 & 6.1 and Open Touch 3

Plenty. Look at most of itje's TouchIT ROMs, or any of Ttran's OpenTouch Biggy versions. None of my ROM have the Cube on it. And I rarely ever release anything...

So I noticed a minor bug and I cant seem to find if anyone else has had the same issue. While using QuickMenu (2.7 i believe). When i open the start menu and select Close Program, it gives the option to Close Other, Close All, and task manager. When i click task manager it brings me to my Memory in the Settings. I just got one question in your screenshot it shows you have 24mb's free

When I soft reset my phone or just start it up it never goes over 18mb's.

After soft reset, and checking storage, you must wait a min, and be disconnected from any connection, like your pc or w/e. Booting up the phone uses a few mb.
And I dont have a sd-card in my herald (since I dont use the phone for other then testing) SD-card steals some mb memory.

When I show what storage/ram is available, its when the rom is not connected, and with no add on installed, thats because I want to show what you truly have for storage.
But I have not really thought of writing that, but I guess I will do so from no own so that there will not be misunderstandings.

Just as ivanmmj said, I installed it after the fact. This is a touch-it thread, I dont have open touch on my wing, if I did I would post it in that thread. I have Touch-it 6.1 and I was wondering if anyone else had the same issues. I mean somone else has to be using quick menu with this rom, and that is a bit annoying..

Try what itje said... if you get 24mb after putting out the sdcard.... then there is a little bug. you can solve it by using sktools and starting "optimize for memory" it worked for ayerthon...

he lsot 4mb ram putting in the sdcard..... and after the fix... he lsot only 0,5mb as normal

Hi,

I've got a problem with my wired remote (w100) in combination with HTC audio manager using this rom. When I want to skip a song using the wired remote it unlocks my phone, resulting in pressing several buttons. When I use the same remote with HTC audio manager with the Kaiser (using DSC 1.5 rom) this problem never occures and the phone keeps locked. Could someone please help me with this problem?

You probably used Windows Media Player, try using TCPMP.
It handles many formats and has a lot of settings.

Great ROM! Love it... however one thing that causes me some trouble is the topbar battery icon. I prefer to have the date and time displayed here, and the battery icon conflicts with it. Is there a way to turn the topbar battery icon off?

Alwayz famous, are you running the cabs from inside the Wing? You have to click on them with the stylus from inside the Wing.

i've installed your rom and i'd like to send you some feedbacks.

When you select "organizer" and then Contacts the system add a contact instead of contacts list.

Audio Manager is present either in "Programs" than in "Programs/Multimedia"

If in "Comm manager settings" you select "Search tab" or "pocketCM" for Contacts mode you get an error when you select "Contact" softkey in today screen (see attachemts pc_capture1.jpg and pc_capture2.jpg)

If you enable "IP Phone" in "Comm Manager" and then try to select "Settings/IP Phone" nothing appear and herald emit a beep (see pc_capture3.jpg)

In Camm Manager "Airplane Mode" is set to active even if phone is active (pc_capture4.jpg) and if you click on Airplane mode button then you need a softreset.

I hope this post help you to improve this good rom.

Hi,
my phone (Herald) flashed with this rom doesn't turn off.

When i push off button it ask me "are you sure etc" but when i confirm the only action is:
- Turn off phone (put it into airplane mode)
- Turn off display

but pda is on.

If i repeat the turn off action it turn off display again but no turn off pda.

The arsoft MMS sorftware doesnt work. I tried reinstalling it and its still a no go. I tries using the primary sms/mms messaging. SMS works great and love the threading. However, I don't understand the native MMS feature. The selection of "SMS / MMS" seems to really be just SMS. Once you in that selection there is not options for pictures. I also tried exporting a picture to MMS and it doesnt know how to handle it. I tried looking for a thread and it seems no one else has this problem. I also can't receive any MMS's as well. My phone automatically turns on GPRS but nothing comes through. HEEEELP.
