I think the camera module is in OEM_Drivers. But on wm6 (N-Touch 19548 is the same problem), i had changes some modules on OS folder with as i know working with previous version. Do u have experience?

Could u look "devices" on your phone with taskmanager. On my device camera.dll just one and "unloaded". I think on wm 6 is two and both are "loaded":confused:

I found headset limiter can't adjust the sound on bluetooth , Equalizer help on speaker. I check on wowhd it show blank on first check box . On normal headset sound work well.

so the the Bluetooth Headset no media tool can control sound.

Hi abusalza, GPRS works for thos build or my build, it was just the same i have tried it, the most important things are, you have to do auto configuration after hardformat,.

Abusalza, I was late in upgrading:p, however following problems,
1. Activesync (4.5.0 Build 5096) not working and giving an error.
2. Internet Connection (GPRS) not connecting, however, solved now and can connect but IE not working.
3. If use PIM backup in the new ROM then afterwards cannot restore messages, other things are restored. Messages are also shown as restored but no message in inbox. Old restore, however, works correctly.
4. Some confusion of messages with Smiley SMS, that is some messages are shown separate and others are shown as conversation.
5. Also if u unlock the Extended ROM u will not be able to use it if one goes for a hard reset. It means that after a hard reset u gonna have to flash the ROM again.

Windows Vista Mobile Center 6.1 have problem with code
0x80004005.
IE dont open any page with wi-fi, direct connect or GPRS. ("The address is not valid....") (any address)
But PING utility work OK, but slow.
If device find wi-fi network, i can`t select network (OK not work).

Make sure that you install the downloaded .exe file and make sure it's installed in C:\Windows\Temp\ folder.
Usually if the DSUU hangs in this stage, chances are the files are not "installed correctly" in the correct location.

PS: And make sure that you have an O2 Atom Exec and not the other O2 Xda Exec.

First Impressions: A nice clean neat Rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/images/icons/icon14.gif
Appearance: http://forum.xda-developers.com/images/icons/icon14.gif very nice (On first boot Topbar not skinning, after SR, perfect!)
A2DP: Perfect... Sony DR-BT25NX
Power Management: Early days, however I did not install Extended Rom so must search for Power Management Cab.
Memory: http://forum.xda-developers.com/images/icons/icon14.gif Good, about 25-26MB on boot
So far, very good job!
Overall Speed: very good, must find PM Patch, battery running very very warm :D
WMV is working better, smooth not juttered like before

Will post what works and what not. Hopefully this is my last ROM on my AtomExec.

1. I don't know why no one suggest you to use Voice Dialer v1.2 instead of v1.1.
v1.2 can import/export voice tags and that will save me some time to re-record all the voice commands.

First few minutes with it, impression is very good and hope it will hold up!!:)

2. Also why not use the Touch Dialpad which has bigger keys and SmartDialing.
3. SpriteBackup is a standard program for Kaiser and a almost must have for any PDA phones.
4. Flash player is also a good addition since you put the Adobe Reader in the ROM.
5. WKTask in my opinion is better and fairly useful compared to Task manager. It also give a thin line battery indicator bar on top.
If you donate, it will change to a color indicator bar, no need to use the VistaBatteryGauage for the same indicator.
6. Synchro Time is also a fairly small and good utility since my AtomExec has no backup battery and no sure how many other people has the same problem.
7. If you do install the Home Plugin which has a big display of clock, the SamSung Clock (two lines) is quite neat compared to the small one time clock.

mh... Why people does not use RescoPlugin while the other Resco components are in.

8. Your black input keyboard was much better looking and easier to see than this plain looking keyboard, why not kept the black one.


I think others appls should be leave alone for the user to install.

1 after call, music play without sound(tested with CorePlayer, HTC Audio manager, WMP)
2 In first sync(with bt manager(start-settings-connections-bluetooth)) a2dp work good, but if off/on ds970( sync in automatic mode) music will with pause every 1-2 seconds

@abusalsa thanks for this ROM! I didnt test it well but I can confirm that A2DP works well... it was a pain in the previous releases of WM6 cooked ROM but now its great! @ first music didn't stream well but when I deleted the value of bitpool from the registry, works like a charm.

i installed your ROM yesterday.I must say by far its the best and you really are the one when it comes to Atom exec.
i have a few points to mention here after my 1 day of use.
1.the notes button is by default mapped to record which does not work so changed button mapping to notes.working after that.
2. The battery seems to be getting exhausted as compared to all other ROM's
3. start menu has a delayed response but that was corrected with SPB tools.
4. the best part-A2DP works well with Motorolla S705.no hicups,paired straight away and songs started playing from the word go.Also the handsfree part has improved considerably.Cheers for that but the quality of music is not very good.there seems to be a strange tone in the background that distorts the songs.seems like some additional treble affect that does not go no matter what.
5. multimedia/equaliser are not working only the volume below that works.
6. headset volume limiter has no effect also.
7. Overall response of windows is a little slow as compared with your last n-touch ROM version.

i think all 3 can go.they can be made available as seperate apps and ppl who need these apps can always install them seperately.moreover using remote desktop is a real pain on the small screen.But again thats my thought...

Exceptional power management, as good if not better than 0.7.2 (after installed the PM.cab patch)

Since last night (8pm) made 6 calls @ 3-5 mins, used GPS for 25mins, including installing and setting up after flash, still at 66% now (5pm)

The only criticism I have is the application icons, when apps are applied as larger shortcuts (HTC Home for example) some icons have quite rough edges.

Bro you really cooked a great ROM and hope you leave the updates plain and uncluttered.

Missed out one point.Some text messages are shown as conversations and some are shown as normal sms. We can fwd sms msgs but cannot fwd/reply conversations.what could be the issue here.y cant all be sms messages and not conversations.

Missed out one point.Some text messages are shown as conversations and some are shown as normal sms. We can fwd sms msgs but cannot fwd/reply conversations.what could be the issue here.y cant all be sms messages and not conversations.

I am too excited, even though I know this is not quite a useful post, but still say

Thank you! first because I get all the major functions checked.

I downloaded: no problem, flashed: no problem and ready to putting back the applications (a few hours).

Will post what works and what not. Hopefully this is my last ROM on my AtomExec.

1. I don't know why no one suggest you to use Voice Dialer v1.2 instead of v1.1.
v1.2 can import/export voice tags and that will save me some time to re-record all the voice commands.

First few minutes with it, impression is very good and hope it will hold up!!:)

2. Also why not use the Touch Dialpad which has bigger keys and SmartDialing.
3. SpriteBackup is a standard program for Kaiser and a almost must have for any PDA phones.
4. Flash player is also a good addition since you put the Adobe Reader in the ROM.
5. WKTask in my opinion is better and fairly useful compared to Task manager. It also give a thin line battery indicator bar on top.
If you donate, it will change to a color indicator bar, no need to use the VistaBatteryGauage for the same indicator.
6. Synchro Time is also a fairly small and good utility since my AtomExec has no backup battery and no sure how many other people has the same problem.
7. If you do install the Home Plugin which has a big display of clock, the SamSung Clock (two lines) is quite neat compared to the small one time clock.

mh... Why people does not use RescoPlugin while the other Resco components are in.

8. Your black input keyboard was much better looking and easier to see than this plain looking keyboard, why not kept the black one.


I think others appls should be leave alone for the user to install.

This is a fairly clean ROM, nice job done.

updated rom works fine abu salza, just one problem. If i want to make a new appointment in calendar, the year is 2057??? not 2008. I go back and check yep the year and month is correct but in calendar it's 2057 lol.

I have just finished my ROM flash and I found alsmost everything in this ROM!
The only thing that i am not so familiar with is that I cannot connect GPRS while I used my headset listening to the radio. I am not quite sure if this is the usual case!

You may not use BT sterero with your N-Touch AtomExec. That is why you didn't see the bug.l

New to this forum... I love this rom, great work man.

I noticed that there is a problem with using the internet via activesync via usb cable or via direct wifi.

I know the reason why as I have experienced this problem before.

In the My network card connects to list, there is supposed to be a drop down box where you can select either "the Internet" or "Home" or "Work." The drop down box is there however when I click the drop down box, there is nothing to select. You need to be able to select either "the Internet" or "Home" for it to work. I am not sure why these options are missing, is there any chance of building these options back into the rom?

I can't see straight anymore. I am not sure whether my AtomExec is dying after all these flashing or what.

The ROM is good looking but it almost brick my phone.

I finally get it back to WM5, but it does not work well like it used to be.
These so call 'moment of dead' or 'fake death' or plainly hung still abound.

I either can't get the radio going or my touch screen just not working with this latest ROM. Again, it may be just my phone. Hope someone else has better experience with it.

I really think AtomExec is a loser. Hardware specs is great but does not seem like there is a reasonable bug free OS goes with it.

O2 try to protect itself so much they create a phone which is sexy but no one is happy with its stability nor reliability.:mad:

Can't get it work well with WM6.1

I would like to see a really basic and clean version so things can be debugged from the ground up.:eek:

2. I am unable to delete one specific conversation (which is new Style in 6.1) out of the SMS
3. I am able to sync with laptops using bluetooth, but my friends phones are unable to send any file to my EXEC
4. I am unable to forward the incoming SMS as Forward option is disabled. Only Reply option is available.

Please help me in the above things.

Did u flashing on bootloader mode? Please Read Installation Note on first post. Just connect your device throught pc and run executable

You should downgrade rom first, then re-up new rom through cable. Plz search the way to downgrade rom in forum :)

2. Put your device into bootloader mode: press CAMERA+RESET(stylus) simultaneously for a second
3. BootLoader Screen shall appear to you (white text on black background)

- Device Radio image version:
to:
- CE image version: xxxxxx
- Radio image version: R0xxxxxx-xxxxxx-xxxxxxx
4. Press "Next" when you see "Welcome to Device Software Utiltity"

Go have a tea break or watch some TV shows ~ 30 minutes, do not intend to move your O2 or try to use IE to browse Internet.....If connection breaks or your PC hangs, the whole process might "BRICK" your O2 devices.

Q: Why do I get a CONNECTION ERROR?
A: If the reasons listed on the above screen is not the cause, you may either have a faulty USB cable OR your device has a none working Operating System. If you have a none working Operating System, proceed to upgrading using BootLoader mode.

Q: I used Atom Exec latest ROM (Xda-Atom-Exec-ENG-20060721-MOT0822.exe) on my Atom / Atom Exec. It does not allow upgrading using bootloader mode (...update in OS mode first...), but my device cannot connect thru ActiveSync. What should I do?
A: Do the following procedure:

1. Extract eboot.nb0 from Atom Official ROM
2. copy eboot.nb0 to 256mb/512mb miniSD (tested to work!) | 1gb miniSD (tested and doesn't support SD Card Flashing)
3. insert miniSD card into device
4. enter into bootloader mode: CAMERA+RESET
5. eboot.nb0 will be downloaded onto device (wait for it to finish completely)
6. ignore all other messages
7. when done, remove miniSD
8. enter into bootloader mode again: CAMERA+RESET
9. you can now flash / upgrade your device with a working ROM
10. The solution is discussed here: forum

Note for Atom Exec Users: The Atom eboot.nb0 is used only to bypass Atom Exec bootloader. When flashing a new ROM, you will experience an error in updating - It will get stuck at 6%. This is normal. Hard reset (POWER+RESET) your device, and enter OS. Then flash using DSUU to complete the update.

A: Check the following:
1. Is windows recognizing your device?.. (Do you have activesync installed?)
2. Did u try using different USB cable ?
3. Are you logged on as administrator?

4. Once you have started to upgrade your ROM, you will be doing it all the time and be ready to reinstall your apps and settings.

If this is all ok to you and you have a back up phone, that you can use while you play with your Atom, then go ahead and try the ROM upgrades. Look through the wiki and you will find all the information you need.

Backup your personal data! All information on your device will be deleted. Use a suitable backup software to do this. It is not advisable to do a full backup using Sprite or SPB Backup as system files are generally different from one ROM version to another. A freeware PIMBackup utility by dotFred can be used to backup your PIM data (sms, email, contacts, call logs, tasks, appointments, etc.) This software is independent of ROM version and can easily migrate your PIM data. Upgrade Procedure in BootLoader Mode Under Windows XP

1. Remove any SD Card from device
2. Put your device into bootloader mode: press CAMERA+RESET(stylus) simultaneously for a second
3. BootLoader Screen shall appear to you (white text on black background)
Your Divice software is about to be update from:
- Device CE image version:0
- Device Radio image version:
to:
- CE image version: xxxxxx
- Radio image version: R0xxxxxx-xxxxxx-xxxxxxx
4. Press "Next" when you see "Welcome to Device Software Utiltity"
5. Press "Upgrade"

Go have a tea break or watch some TV shows ~ 30 minutes, do not intend to move your O2 or try to use IE to browse Internet.....If connection breaks or your PC hangs, the whole process might "BRICK" your O2 devices.

Q: Why do I get a CONNECTION ERROR?
A: If the reasons listed on the above screen is not the cause, you may either have a faulty USB cable OR your device has a none working Operating System. If you have a none working Operating System, proceed to upgrading using BootLoader mode.

Q: I used Atom Exec latest ROM (Xda-Atom-Exec-ENG-20060721-MOT0822.exe) on my Atom / Atom Exec. It does not allow upgrading using bootloader mode (...update in OS mode first...), but my device cannot connect thru ActiveSync. What should I do?
A: Do the following procedure:

1. Extract eboot.nb0 from Atom Official ROM
2. copy eboot.nb0 to 256mb/512mb miniSD (tested to work!) | 1gb miniSD (tested and doesn't support SD Card Flashing)
3. insert miniSD card into device
4. enter into bootloader mode: CAMERA+RESET
5. eboot.nb0 will be downloaded onto device (wait for it to finish completely)
6. ignore all other messages
7. when done, remove miniSD
8. enter into bootloader mode again: CAMERA+RESET
9. you can now flash / upgrade your device with a working ROM
10. The solution is discussed here: forum

Note for Atom Exec Users: The Atom eboot.nb0 is used only to bypass Atom Exec bootloader. When flashing a new ROM, you will experience an error in updating - It will get stuck at 6%. This is normal. Hard reset (POWER+RESET) your device, and enter OS. Then flash using DSUU to complete the update.

Q: Connection Error checklist:
A: Check the following:
1. Is windows recognizing your device?.. (Do you have activesync installed?)
2. Did u try using different USB cable ?
3. Are you logged on as administrator?
4. Did you remove SD card before going to bootloader mode
5. What is the screen content when you go to boot loader mode
6. Before connecting the device go to bootloader first, then connect the device and then run DSUU
7. Activesync may install device drivers for your device so try installing activesync?

Sorry, My old PDA is O2 Atom Black. When i change to Atom Exec it's trouble
understand for upgrade from WM5 to WM 6.1.:confused:

but I can upgrade my Atom Exec to WM 6.1 complete when use
WM5 Officiel Rom and upgrade to WM6.1 agian by not problem. :D

rom for me is great! great work! but i'm having trouble connecting my Ir Keyboard. after installing the driver provided in the CDkit, it displays an error message that the IR port is already being used even after a softreset. i already tried checking and unckecking the "receive all beam connections" checkbox in the settings-connections and still the same error appears. can this be fix? oh nvm, already found solution.
problem was that the ir port port in wm6.1 doesn't really turn off even when checkbox receive all beam connections was unchecked.

Just a few things u might want to improve in a later build.....

1. Add PocketCM to the ROM
2. Add support for multiple keyboards again, as in this build only 1 keyboard is shown and its not really finger friendly :(
3. Any ideas on getting the weather module in htc home to work?
4. The GPRS button in the comm manager does not work
5. Allow the audio plugin for HTC home to work through windows media player when something is being played

Job well done on everything else though, although i am still testing it on other areas. Keep us informed how u r doing on the update.

are you trying to receive from another smartphone device or from a desktop pc bluetooth? at first after flashing i can already receive files from my other pda cause they only use OBEX. my problem was ..when i send files from my laptop with widcomm bluetooth.. cause it was looking for devices with filetransfer profile and btftp solved that for me.

I find out that the ram is leak and rarely refresh.how about the freeze at start up did you solve that problem? did you add atom t9 green phone pad in your final rom? dial pad should be green too I found out that no phone key in the screen to dial the number I type I have too hit hard key button.bluetooth question like the thread mention above ,after hard reset I can get all incoming beam from other phone via bluetooth but after set up some third party app all other phone that send to me are failed I don't what tweak registry to become like this plz help bro.

Also I have the same problem when creating new appointment or task even with third party software: The pda freeze for a couple of seconds even in the middle of writing.

An other thing happens in calendar when I want to write a location's meeting. No letters are shown beeing typed after several intents.

I found out that it only happens when I use "HTC Touch keyboard" input system. I just have to click any place in the screen to unselect what I have written as my meeting and then I am able to write down my location meeting.

When I want to set a new task through "Menu/New Task" and after I write down task information and click ok, it won't do anything. No new Task will be added to my tasks list.

The only way to add new tasks to tasks list is in main task application window at the top of it where it asks you to type on in order to add a new task. I am still not able to add a new task through "Menu/New Task".



It means that this ROM is 99% perfect at least for me.
I have tested every part of it for several days and didn't found any bug other than a WM6.1 related.

I definitely agree, Mr. Abusalza has managed to cook the most fun roms for out beloved Atom Exec, It seems that Atom Exec would not be the same without the support of Mr. abusalza. find shellres.96.dll.409.mui inside the ROM (cooking mode of course), just remove it and build again the imgfs with the Atom Kitchen and you will be get back the default microsoft icon

Hi Abusalza, "The Atomic" Man

First, I wanna thank you for your Great ROM.
Most of all functions have been working fine, but one thing that I feel missed from this ROM is the Sim Tool Kit function. It still has a problem when I entered password/PIN to continue the process. The system will show a message "Please enter something" and I cannot continue the process. I still cannot find how to fix this.

Would you please tell us the solution since this function is so useful for me.

Hope this problem will be fixed in the next ROM and also cannot wait for the final release WM 6.1. :)

Read the Wiki and then read all the threads dealing with Atom Exec upgrading like WM 6, WM 6.1 and Ntouch right from page 1 to last and u will become wise enough not only to Flash ROM's but also built one of ur own.;)

Everything OK. But after HardReset, if I don't Run AutoConfigurator for my service Sim, it always hang the phone. And after I Run AutoConfigurator for my service Sim, if I change another service Sim, It always hang the Phone. If I don't insert the sim in phone, Everything good.

i ve been testing this rom and all i can say is ....WOW......2-3 times better than the first wm6.0 roms.

really fast and no major issues till now.

though i want to ask something.


is there possible to change (convert to be exact) the whole rom's language?

i remember on wm5 days there were some programs that translated all the interface of the pda to another language....

if i remember correct one such program was called Lengmate.

googled a lot but couldnt find anything.

Voice dialing can be activated, but exit by itself quickly. Same action if activated by Bluetooth button. Is it a problem of my own Exec?

whats wrong with the PHONE function ?????
I wasn't able to press all the numbers I wanted to dial simultaneously, I had to press it one by one.

Anyone experienced the same problem?

First, I wanna thank you for your Great ROM.
Most of all functions have been working fine, but one thing that I feel missed from this ROM is the Sim Tool Kit function. It still has a problem when I entered password/PIN to continue the process. The system will show a message "Please enter something" and I cannot continue the process. I still cannot find how to fix this.
