Sorry for raising this thread again.

I am trying to use my Nokia N95 with WM6 on BA. So far I was not able to make it work. It seems that WM6 BA even does not connect to phone over Bluetooth when I want to use N95 as modem.

Recently I found out that N95 works with WM5(!) as external Bluetooth modem. It required some minor tweaking to make modem initialize correctly. However, now it works and the speed is quite awesome because N95 is running 3G (even HSDPA in my case) and BT offers somewhat higher bandwith than plaing GPRS.

So far, N95 and BA:

1. WM2003 1.42 (Broadcomm BT) - does not work
2. WM6 by xplode (latest) - does not work
3. WM5 by Hemli (Helmi_BA_WM2k5_AKU3.5_v1.4.CF2.R2) - WORKED!

Now I have a question. What is so different between WM6 and WM5 that externall Bluetooth modems do not work in WM6?

Tested with different versions of WM 6.1 from PDAViet and it does not work.
It seems like something in general was broken between WM5 and WM6 ROM ports in a sense of DialUp functionality.

For example, the "Avdanced" dialog in modem connection setup is different. In WM5 it offered various modem settings (Extra initialization strings, Wait for dialtone, etc). In WM6 it only offers TCP/IP settings that are more relevant to network cards that to modemds/dialup.

I have no idea what is the meaning of setting up TCP/IP credentials on dialup modem, as all of them are aquired from PDP/PPP server anyway.

Does anyone have a clue whether or not it is possible to combine WM5 modem functionality with WM6(1) by e.g. copying some related components from WM5 to WM6?
