Stripped Cruise ROM?

I know the device is not so old, but i there someone who is making a stripped ROM so we can use the available space for programs we like? because the original ROM uses a lot of space...i wanna have that ;)

... yes the chefs are busy cooking up a nice fresh rom for us, but it will be some time yet...

... better to have it good and stable, than rushed and not cooked properly! :)

Nice to hear...are there some tools how to cook a new ROM or how to strip it? sorry if my question sounds stupid.
