help with new rom

i upgraded rom and radio (dcd 2.2 and 3.16 radio). everything works fine except my data connection. it says sprint (dial up) is connected but sprint pcs doesn't connect. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Can you make calls? Can you send txts?
try a restart and load up google.com if it doesnt work then i recomend a hard reset

if you cant make calls check your msid

yes i can make calls and send texts. the internet connects just not on sprint pcs network. it is some sprint (dial up) network and it is super slow.

Sounds like he is making an old style CDMA data call that is what we used before 1xRTT or EVDO, and it is still supported so probably falling back to it because his settings for 1x are not right, but since his phone is ok he can make the old style calls. Make sure that your data call is dialing #777.

it tries to dial 777, but then connects to the sprint dial up

Yep, thats most likely the issue... something isnt authenticating for data correctly.

i updated prl to 60611, ran iota and still same thing. i can connect to internet but it is really slow, says im connected to sprint(dialup) but not sprint pcs.
