Has anyone installed this yet?
Is it still suffering from the startup freeze like all the prior versions?
Yes, I know I can flash and see for myself, but to be honest I am feeling pretty lazy today.
Thanks for the announcement and link.

Although you may not know of the source this ROM is from, the individuals who "created" it have been on the scene for quite some time and have amassed a long list of proven ROMs for the BA.

As the title says I have uncovered a major bug in this ROM.
Every time I soft-reset all my SMS messages are deleted.
The menu does give me the option to copy to SIM, but I have never liked to do that, nor should I have to.
I can 100% accept that my messages will be lost on a hard-reset, but not a soft one.
I have duplicated this bug 3 times so it was not just a passing error by me.
I love te threaded sms and am not sure if I will use the SIM or go back to 6.0.

SMS stay on my pda after soft reset.. i have tried this about 5 times...
however, pda keep reseting when battery power is on 60% - I think its battery issue... its 3 years old.. so expected...

I am nopt experiencing this problem till now, i don't have a lot of messages in my inbox. Try hard reset, and look for this issue before installing any software or customixzing ur device, if it si ok, install programs one by one and determine which one causes the problem.

after installing this rom the only thing which force me to remove it is ""threaded sms"" as it do not allow to forward any msg quickly. when i choose forward it takes me to Email forwarding page with sms as a subject and do not allow me to add any mobile no. so cant send the forwarded msg.

I cannot duplicate your error. I open the SMS reader, I select a conversation, I select the message I want to forward (it then opens the contact details for that person) I close the contact details, the desired msg is highlighted, I then click menu/forward and then click menu/add recipient, then click send and my wife recieves the SMS on her phone.
No email involved at all.
Ironically threaded SMS is why I installed 6.1 :)

FYI the wi-fi in this ROM illuminates the LED and reconnects correctly after powering on the BA (Resume not reset) so this ROM is just about right on except for some software choices and color scheming that I don't like but can live with.

My bluetooth is working fine. I been trying out Route 66 all day today with it. I even got it to connect to both my S9 headset and my BT-GPS at the same time for about 30 seconds then it must have realized it was playing nice and said wait wait we cannot do this and dropped the GPS. Of course itr reconnected to the GPS as soon as I turned off the headset. As this is an old problem I am already accustomed to it and have learned to deal with it.

The title says it all. I am happily using this ROM, but I find I have a couple questions that I am wondering if anyone else is experiencing.
1. The beam switch in Comm Manager will not turn off (the beam does, just not the icon)
2. I can connect outgoing Bluetooth no problems, but I cannot discover the device nor can I send to it from my desktop. (I am turning on bluetooth, enabling discovery, and turning on beam)
3. Is anyone else experiencing slowdowns after running for half a day or more without a soft-reset? (Might just be some of the software I have installed)

I do not know the reason why, but it is also my experience. It is like rapidshare works better with firefox. On the same machine with the same proxy setting on both IE and firefox.

Well tested works fine. SMS has a bit of problem whenever an sms is sent it also places a copy in the inbox & sent folder. If you delete it deletes completely so it is not even seen in the deleted folder. Cannot save sms to sim card. SMS is like a chat type format. For USB HDD have to install .Net CF & for calculator you have to install a calculator skin.

If you want to have a normal SMS inbox on this ROM, do this:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Inbox\Setting s]
"SMSAvailable"=dword:1
Change 1 -> 0 and you'll have the old SMS
you might want to softreset first.

What does "exceptionally well" mean to you?
I tried it and I still can not turn on WLAN in Comm Manager after a normal soft reset. Only if WLAN was on before resetting, then it turns on again after the reset. Otherwise I have to turn on WLAN in the Wireless LAN Manager first, but then everything is working fine.

I don't think that is is supposed to be like this, but I know it's a common bug. I just thought it would be fixed with the new WLAN driver.
Anyway, this ROM is really good (WLAN, Bluetooth, speed...), I stick with it.
