Sorry if this has already been discussed, but just wanted to let you know that a new version of PointUI Home was released Feb 4. Neat Home application. A few bug fixes make this extremely useful, and there is a black theme now! Not sure if I will keep it, but they've done a great jorb of replacing the Home screen.

Agree, it has become a valid substitute to HTC Home: lock screen and slide to unlock, close applications and weather. All that is needed is speeddial with photocontact.

can you uninstall the thing yet.....it was a pain to uninstall the last version & I couldn't change anything. Otherwise it worked really well.

seem to be much improved so far all my hardware button seem to work @ Chris, unfortunatley it still requires manual uninstallation...just using remove programs alone doesnt do the trik...still it only took me a couple minutes to install using winexplorer and manually deleting the reg entry

Does anyone have explicit directions for how to modify the home screen email from outlook to a different account and how to map the phone icon to the dialpad? I read the Pointui forums and there were instructions but none seemed to work for everyone. I am using a Sprint Mogul and think that this is a fantastic application. When modifications become easier, I think tons of people will also try this.

There's a registry key you have to create...

Under HKLM/Software/Pointui/Pointui.Home/[version]/

Add a string under the [version] named "App.Email.Storename" and make the value of it the name of your mail. I modified mine to Gmail and it works fine.

I'll be posting a long list to the PointUI forum, but this app isn't quite there yet for me. I like its interface better than HTC Home or the standard Today, but the way it is now it makes me less efficient and not more. Having to manually delete registry keys is also a pain.

A working uninstall is very important... especially with a beta. I know we're all "power users" here, and caveat emptor applies more to betas than final releases. But this to me is a pretty big oversight.

I am running Schaps 4.3, and had the previous version of PointUI installed (1.01b). I saw the new version, uninstalled using the 'Remove Programs' link, and installed the new version. It is running just fine for me.
