mac to smartphone sync/internet

Hi I own an i-mate smartphone (startrek) running windows mobile 5. I have a G4 powerbook Os 10.4. I'm trying to get OS X to sync with WM5 somehow but have not had much success in finding any free software out there...any suggestions? Also I would like to connect to the internet via my phone's bluetooth/usb but have not figured out how to connect the two. Any help would be greatly appreciated! thanks.
