Did you run the network wizard?

My mms 5 works fine ... I can send and receive with NO problems.... The only thing I changed to make it work better is go into the MMS options and then into the servers and change to make it use T-MOBILE DATA, not T-MOBILE MMS when connecting.

But like I said, I have ZERO problems sending or receiving using the Arcsoft MMS 5_0_31_7

i keep getting invalid model id error 244 and i hard spl and i did the aserg spl...i dunno what am doing wrong??

Was looking forward to trying this ROM out. But for some reason I can never get active sync to connect after doing the hardspl, after it's reached the white out screen part. I've tried everything I can think of an no luck...any suggestions. I've tried reinstalling active sync, unplugging and plugging back in usb cable, etc nothing seems to work to get active sync to hook back up to the phone so that the install can complete. Ultimately I've just gave up and disconnected the usb, done a soft reset, and once back up of course it connects without any problem. That is until I attempt again. :p Hopefully someone has some suggestions! It also happened during Open Tough V3.0 but connected once I unplugged and plugged it back in. I'm at a loss on what the issue is.

Hi...everyone..

I am having a real problem modding my wing...and I know its the wing because I have downloaded every Herald ROM and i get the same error message each time.

The error says Update Utility error...However every version of the Herald ROM that I downloaded and tried to install ..says the same thing.

I dont know what esle to do...I have never modded this WING..before ...its unlocked and I am currently having no problems with it...

Is it possible i am doing something wrong??

in steps...I download the RAR...extract it to the desktop...go to the folder on the desktop.... look for the RUU folder and run the ROM UPDATE UTILITY...my device is plugged into my machine and then i follow the directions..and seems like its going to work..but then after 3% it fails...all the time....was I suppose to extract everything to the phone's SD card and run it from there?? HELP :(

On the storage card install my suspicion would be having both versions of the app installed. Could always try it with whatever rom you have now and then flash onwards and find out. When I updated batterstatus and installed to device it overwrote it.

use the search to find the the (AD2Pfix v1.0 cab )it will work perfectly...just un-pair your headset and install the cab then re-pair with device.

ROM compressed by method LZX, I recommend to use only that for whom it is necessary more free ROM. If there is no special necessity for it it is better to use usual ROM. It nevertheless is little bit faster.

I shall try. At me it is bad with English. A standard method of compression ROM - XPR, but it practically does not compress data. There is a technology of compression LZX which allows to receive more compact ROM, in comparison with standard (XPR), with the same maintenance. It is possible to receive in addition 8-10Mb to free ROM. Naturally, any compression assumes the subsequent unpacking data, on what additional processor time is required. But it is important to whom to have a lot of free ROM, can quite use ROM compressed by method LZX. Success!

As aserg said, it happens only if you've used the 'unlock extended rom' cab, which does not actually unlocks it, but, unhides it.

yeah I know Idle is not suppose to be be showing anything but when I check the task mgr cpu usage the Idle process is at 88% and task mgr is 11% ...damn it must be something I downloaded I will re-flash and see what goes.

There is/was nothing wrong with the batterystatus settings. You just left the extended rom opened. A simple reg edit would have solved the problem IMHO.

awe crap ..ok I found out what was making my BS act funny.I used the Advanced Config tool to stop my sms delivery notification and sent notification and I changed it to delete cab after install ,now its back to 100% cpu all the time :mad:

I'm currently testing HERALD.ASerg.Clean4.WM61E.WWE (NBH) Radio 03.12.90 SD LZX. The only "real" problem/bug, if I can even call it like that, is the fact that after installing HTC Home the brightness doesn't work... I have to go to Start -> Setings -> System!

Unfortunatelly, Spb Pocket Plus doesn't work with this rom... It screws up the device completely (reboot loops). After uninstalling, it goes back to normal, but it erases all custom today plugins in Start -> Settings -> Personal! Oh well, it it doesn't work I won't install it again :)

Yesterday I finaly decided to enter the world of flashed ROMs with HERALD.ASerg.Lite4.WM61E.WWE ROM. It is a great ROM, fast and has a lot of extra space as opposed to the T-Mobile's stock ROM.

However, I ran into an interesting situation. I configured the settings for T-Zones internet and even used the Network Wizard. It seems to connect to edge and I know it is working because I can connect to AIM using IM+. But when I try to open a webpage in IE I get this error:
"Error 502 - Bad Request
The service could not resolve your request for uri: /"

I looked through everything I could think of and still get nothing :confused: I might try flashing with a different ROM, there seems to be many posted in here.
Any help would be appreciated and thanks to ASerg for the great ROM(s).

coolmen777 I have all these problems too. I'm on V10 of the ROM running on an unbranded P4350 on O2-UK.

The language problem can be fixed by going into regional settings, changing the date format then changing it back.

As for the rest of the problems I'm just as stumped as you. I also get a problem that if I set a password for the device it will hang for ages / crash when I press unlock after typing in the password.

Love the ROM and if we can iron out these few bugs it would be fantastic. I'm thinking possibly this is a problem with HTC Home Or BatteryStatus but that's just a guess.

Also request for ASerg: Have you considered including Microsoft Voice Command 1.6 in the English ROM?

That's odd for me simply setting it to another format then setting it back and saving it sorted the problem. I don't even have to reset... Thanks for the offer of voice command but i already got it. was mealy suggesting ASerg threw it in the next build for other people :)

I ran the cab to unlock Ext Rom, installed ok, restart, but don't see a folder Soft" or Extended_Rom. Tried searching with Total Commander, nothing! Any clues/hints? I am running version 10 (English). Thanks!

EDIT: The Ext Rom folder is located on the remote installation computer, not a Windows Mobile device. Why isn't that mentioned anywhere? Hope this helps someone!

Note: some of the herald ROMs cooked/made by Aserg dont come with any WMP skin installed. It is easy to overcome this problem. Just go to \program files and make a new folder there with the name "windows media player". Make and name the folder as u desire and copy the files in that folder. After that open WMP>options>skins and select the skin file from there

LZX is a compressed ROM and has more free space. AFAIK, only aserg is using this nice technique in his ROMs

It was 03 07 90. The screen looks just normal except it won't send after I hit "send", the message just goes to "inbox", and incoming message won't showm but I can see the phone lights up when there's an incoming message, but no notification, no message.

Some minor bug reports:
1 - I've tried to connect my car bluetooth hands-free and it works except phone-book access. It means I can not access to contacts from car device. By the way, your WM6 ROM worked fine with mentioned issue.

I would use WM6 ROM if only one bug is not there:
- There are 3 buttons on HTC home screen - e-mails, sms and missed calls, sms and missed calls work perfectly. And the bug is with email button - it shows NOT "Outlook e-mail" folder but LAST opened folder (SMS, MMS, custom account).

If you or someone knows something could be helpfull I apreciate it very much.

1 - Я пользуюсь в машине bluetooth устройством hands-free, все работает за исключением доступа с этого устройства в записную книжку. С 6-ой виндой все было в порядке, а вот в 6.1 - не работает.
2 - Мелодия напоминания вырубается когда выключается подсветка экрана. Опять же в 6-ой такого не было. Там мелодия играет независимо от состояния экрана.
3 - хард-кнопка "Windows" не работает, если выключен плагин BatteryStatus, но даже если он включен вылезает не меню Старт, а меню плагина.

Я бы пользовался твоей прошивкой с 6-ой виндой, однако там есть всего один баг, который побороть мне так и не удалось. На HTC home screen есть три кнопочки - почта, смски, пропущенные вызовы, так вот проблема с кнопкой почты. Она должна выводить папку с почтой, а вылезает последняя открытая, например, СМС. То есть, я почитал СМСки, потом мне пришло письмо по почте, я нажимаю на кнопочку почты и попадаю в СМСки. Раздражает жутко, поэтому мирюсь с недостатками 6.1 описанными выше.


Если тебе или тому, кто это читает известны решения проблем, описанных мной, то буду премного благодарен если поделитесь!

Hi Aserg,

I cannot use the SynchroTime. Whenever I try to Sync the time, it open a popup saying "Connecting to TMobile WmModemKLink." then says "Unable to connect to server". I use tmobile proxy to connect to the internet.

How do I fix this. This issue has been in the previous ROMs too.

There is a lil problem with the rom for me. The phone app wont allow you to change ringtones or any settings related to the phone. When you go in to the phone application and go into options and make your changes you can not hit ok to accept the changes. It puts the settings back to the original default settings and then you cant get out of the options screen by pressing ok button, the only way to get out of it is by hitting the end button on the phone. If you go into sounds and notifications to change your ringtone it does the same thing as well. Can you check into this pls?

Thats the WM6.1 homescreen for Windows Mobile Standard (non touchscreen devices), it's not for Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional devices like the Herald, TyTN II etc..

Lol, I stumbled when trying this myself but it ends up being pretty easy. When you go to the city selection screen select menu then weather options. Then presto, your selection is there to change from celsius to farenheit.

I just took the major decision to ditch the official world and enter the realm of ASerg! Thank you man, the ROM ROCKS compared to the original WM6.

My first question concerns the VoIP client. With official ROMs I never had the chance to get 2 way audio. With this (rev12E) I get it but incoming sound is really really silent. Is this a wide issue or specific to Voipdiscound I am using? Is there any other provider that works?

Had no problems flashing to HERALD.ASerg.WM6.1.WWE back when it was version 9, but now when I'm trying to goto the 12 it's giving me
RAPI errors when trying to load bootloader.

Tried the Enable RAPI cab.

I've tried rebooting phone and computer but have been unsuccessful.

I searched google a bit on the rapi error but didn't find anything that made
much sense to me.

I just flashed my Wing last night with 4.17.ASerg.10E
It is really working well and my wing has more memory available than ever. I had an issue with the latest release (HERALD.ASerg.12.WM61E.WWE) from the first page, when it pulled up the RUU installer it said it was a corrupt version.

ASerg, outstanding work on this and I will be donating in the near future.

One question about the HTC Album. Is there any way to browse to a seperate image folder? It seems to show the main My Pictures and Storage Card/My Documents/My Pictures folder

I have stored some images that are solely for work in other folders and was hoping to be able to select that folder when I need to show someone one of the images and use the functionality of the HTC Album but it seems that it is locked on that one default folder.

Am I just missing something or does someone have an enhanced feature CAB that I can install?

Someone was telling me that the problem could be with T-Mobile provisioning, but I have yet to find anything on this.

The biggest issue I've had is the weather program (Marsware WeatherPanel) I bought was the ONLY one I could get working using the T-Mobile proxy hack. Now, for some reason the program doesn't update unless I have a Wifi or Activesync connection. It used to work on Aserg 10, but not Aserg 12. I hope to find a solution to this soon.

If anyone knows of another weather program that will work using the proxy hack please let me know. I've tried the HTC Home one, SPB Weather, and SBSH Pocket Weather.

you cant really remove it as it is built in the ROM however I have removed all the instances of it in the Windows folders. i.e windows/programs and windows/start Menu etc etc.. this frees up a bit.. just dont like to even seen the icon.

The issue i have is that when I install MS voice command 1.6 or cyberon voice commander i can't use either with my bluetooth. I can use it if i press the button (I remapped it to button 5).

I like the ability of just being able to say a name and not have to tag all my contacts. just for work alone I have abt 150. In my case it is faster to say it than to actually search for it.

I have searched for fixes but i have not found one that i can use.
I have hard resetted my wing before and after each "fix."

I know it is a small issue, and I would appreciate any help.

I asked ASERG to see if he could do a ROM without Voice Speed Dial, I hope he does.
Other than that, this is the best ROM i have used.

A nice suggestion to all flashing ROMs via microSD. You need not format the card before putting a new ROM on it. Just put it somewhere in the root directory. Make sure that there is NO other .nbh file in the root directory :)

Yesterday I disabled the GRPS auto-disconnect, maybe it had something to do with it. I will report any findings...

Um, what does these mean? I have the same keyboard problem - the alt and key combination are incorrect for 6 of the keys.

I also found a little quirk in the HTC home clock/date - it is not reading my regional settings. I changed to MM DD YYYY, the phone changes to this setting but the HTC clock stays at DD MM YYYY??? any ideas?

I have to say this is a very good ROM. pretty stable, i only hung up twice before i got the CPU clocked and all is better.

Oh, does anyone know if there is a way for SMS NOT to send a delivery msg for every msg you send out?? I can't seem to find the option.

hey ASerg!
great work on all the roms... but i came back to the "unbranded-original-htc-rom"... BUT, i learned to love ur dialer! :)
nice and very handy...
here is the problem:
the left button disapears and never shows up and there is a "dot" under the X (which seems to be there since i installed something else - so its my problem! :) )
i attached 3 screen-shoots where u can see the disapeared button...
do u have an idea how i can solve this?

Even with GPRS auto-disconnect off, the ROM looses the HTTP proxy setting on every reboot... :(

This is my second ROM and I really enjoy it.

One thing, has anyone had problems connecting to activesync? This ROM and the last one both won't allow me to connect to activesync on both my wing and my buddys. Maybe it's something i'm doing but activesync still works when I put the original t-mobile ROM on. Without activesync it's very difficult to transfer a number of music files and to install programs.

Any suggestions are much appreciated thanks.

Greetings to all.

I have lost my ringer, and I dont know where it went.

when someone calls me, i will vibrate, but will not ring.
if i hard reset the wing, i will have ring for a couple of days, but then it will be gone.

if anyone has any ideas i would appreciate the input.

tried this rom it's great bug i found is that s2p won't run.... i get "this function is only valid in Win32 mode" every time i try to luanch it... any thoughts?

I have the same error. I totally love this ROM but I miss S2P on my S2U2 screen.

Did anyone find a fix? There was a mention on S2P forum that perhaps its Dutty WMP skins http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2128187&postcount=858.

I am not sure if that is the culprit.

This seems like a great rom but I really like the computer style windows menu with programs and settings, etc. Oh well I guess.

I have a Wing and have used both version 10 and (currently) version 12 of Aserg's ROM and have no problem with activesync. Something I installed afterwards messed up my activesync but it had nothing to do with this ROM.

After installing the ROM, run the Network Wizard (search the forums for HTC Network Wizard) and run that. It worked great for me.

I think I have located the cause for GPRS connection loosing the HTTP proxy server: its PC sync with ActiveSync! Every time I syncronise my PDA I have to reenter the Proxy setting...

I can confirm that this does look like the problem for me losing my proxy settings too. Any chance this could be fixed? I had gotten frustrated with having to input my proxy settings so many times, that I tried Open Touch, Touch-IT 7.1PB, ITsPapaBlack 4.1, and JustClean Red. However, I have had the exact same problem with losing the proxy settings with these other ROMs too, which makes me wonder where the real problem lies.

Thanks for the reply! You just saved me from trying all those ROMS that I've been thinking about! Since this is a wide issue, I must assume that this is a WM6.1 problem. Now that we seem to have located the cause (PC Sync) things are better, we just have to remember to reenter the proxy after each sync. For me it does the trick. Maybe I will try ending the activesync partnership and just use Exchange instead.

Now, if I can just figure out why WeatherPanel stopped updating via the T-Mobile proxy hack I would be very happy.

My WeatherPanel stopped updating ever since I changed from Touch-IT 2.3 to any of the current ROMS using WM6.1. I've heard other people say they haven't had problems with WeatherPanel and the T-Mobile proxy hack, but I have yet to find a solution. For now, I guess I will just have to live with the HTC weather.

Aserg, I just wanted to personally thank you for your work. I absolutely love this rom.:D I have been reading these forums for about a week now and this is the first rom I have flashed. The process was easy, and the instruction could not have been more simple. I have only had a couple of problems being that my phone is a wing (keyboard & data connection), but those were easily fixed with information I received from this thread. Thanks again:D

I also want to thank everyone else for all the great information. Without everyone on here, I would have never been able to set up my phone the way I wanted.:)
