hi Noonski,
i just flashed the new SP1 rom... it feels/looks better n improved.. :) got to ask you how to set the camera button for camera... tried but cudnt figure out.. can u explain... thanks in advance.. sorry to ask a noob question!!
Also there's some weird things going on with MyMyScreenAlignment settings you had put in the current rom... when u move to another rom, the touch screen is totally insensitive and behaves badly!! :( there's no screen alignment option at the beginning of rom customization! it would be nice to know how to do the realignment... i cant go even go to the menu option to do a realignment... !!!
Ahh you mean the Nightly build.
Wel a few posts above i made a small tutorial how to get your correct screenaligment... ;)
And as for the camera button. yeah sorry i always map something else to it when i'm flashing a tool i really need a lot. (Taskmanager with regedit)
And i always forget to put back the camera link.
Use file explorer to copy camera.lnk from \storage card\SPC\Windows\Start Menu\Porgrams\Multimedia.
TOO \Windows\Appbuttons folder.
BTW it's not a final version, it is a bit bigger and slightly slower and hopefully with less buggs. (i did find some with Wifi in previous one)

thank you Noonski for the clarification... :) with regards to screen alignment there's something else i would like you to look into... the settings that is imposed on Touch with ur roms remains when a new rom is flashed... n its really tough (trial n error) to get to do a manual screen alignment again... hope u see its a bit of a mess with this nightly build... :( can u tell me why this settings go wrong n persists when i flash a different rom?!

Aaaah wait a minute.
Do you mean the secret welcome.not file..... that gets copied over to root of storage card that disables the welcome wizard and screen alignment.
I think deleting it or renaming it to welcome.yes will solve it.

Noonski,
At first the rom looked fine, i puzzled around in the UC etc etc but today the rom gave me some serious anoying problems (well it started yesterday) even so bad that i'm flashing back to the rom i had and i will wait the next release.
Meanwhile i will try to make a dutch start the way pkoper did his german. just for fun
But to name some of the things;
*The time suddenly changed around 3pm my alarmclock went of (it's set to 7 am) when i checked my phone it was 7 am
*When i was selecting something in TC all of the above files/ folders would be selected also (more files would be grey)
* The text function screwed up, being buggy and all typing text would be over the received text etc.
the above 3 things are the ones i remember, there were a few more but i can't remember them anymore it was at my BHV class today i encountered them.
So sorry i'm going back to Bram's for a while.
I will come back :P:P :)

Bhv Fun...
The rest sounds serious.
I can't say for sure i haven't had the alarm go awry as i'm a fast sleeper, but they do go of at 7:45.
As for The Total Commander weirdness, haven't seen this behaviour yet same for the text one.
But sounds like something to keep an eye out for.
What do you mean with text function?
I would really like to reproduce it.
Great Input, thanks, i really haven't seen this.
I will remove welcome.not from Preconfig (Still need to take some reg keys out from one cab that slows down SD autorun.
And i think by now those that want to use UC to the fullest should now know that you can simply make a blank .txt file and rename it to welcome.not to skip Welcome ;)
This will get rid of Screen issues.
I might even take all of the Cabs away from SDuatorun.
I sorta wanted to Force introduce this customization process.
I'll post a list of tricks that can be used for UC but not precon figure that.
(Will still need preconfig to install SPCcert/EnableRapi Folder structure and removed OEM files that can be used on any rom.
Also the removed files can be copied back using UC if that's where people would like to have them.
Take for instance the backlight exe.
It doesn't need to me in Rom.
But removing it from Windows folder wil take the link to Power Exe away if that's also gone. Then again backlight settings can also be aplied through UC, so why have a whole exe in rom if it can be provisioned with your own Custom xml file. And best of all these settings are the same on most Windows Mobile Pro devices. Aaah i feel a little tutorial coming up.
Anyone ever used Regdump.?
And Re-Mi take my advice and stay out of the kitchen unless you don't value your nights rest and need to be up at 7:00 ;)
I'm using my touch with a BT GPS ;) What's the function of quickgps ?
Looked into that. It seems that the application helps to get quicker fixes from satalites by downloading Satalite information through GPRS.
Haven't been able to make WorledCard application work
Buuut while trying to figure out where HTC made some weird Mistakes with their Camera Album (Some Graphics do load from SD for the interface and others don't) Since i was making 8 shortcuts to open in either landscape or portrait video or image with folder picker or without.
All of a sudden i thought to myself... Hmmmm doesn't it play slideshows??
so i tried to add a slideshow to the command, and my golly it worked.
So now there will be 16 link options for the new HTC Album Cab,
Which will indeed be removed from ROM i need the space.

Now Sometimes it looks like magic how some just know some registry keys that control the behaviour and settings of your device.
But it sometimes isn't. Most the settings we are used to change using an aplication are nothing more then a change in the registry.
(not to self Favourites for Rgistry editor can be cooked)
So most the Controlpanel exe or cpl files (look them up in your PC's windows folder) do nothing more then change some registry keys but then with a Nice little user interface.
So how do you find out wich key e tickbox changes?
Well the simplest way to explain it and actually the only way to explain it is.. You dump your whole registry Make the changes using the Normal User interface..... Then you dump your registry again....And then you compare the to dumpd.
Aaah ye you need tools.
1. Download the attached REG Dump ZIP.
2. Unzip it.
3. Make sure your device is attached to USB and active sync.
4. Run the RegistryDump(PPC).exe, and go set yourself a cup of coffee like i'm going to do now (Tea or beer also alowed).
5. Once the reg dump has finished. (it does take a few minutes), You go and and change the setting you are after.
6. Once the setting has changed, you run regdump again. It chooses a new file name based on the time so no need to be creative here.
7. Next you download and unzip windiff, zip.
8. Run Windiff and from the topleft file menu choose "File >> Compare Files".
9. browse to the first dump and open it, directly after that Windiff will ask you for the second file, and select the second dump.
10. It willthen come with a red line on your screen.
11. Doubleclick on that red line. It should open up the whole comparison view on the first changed line.
12. Think logicly and just read the line to see if it has something do to with what you have just chegned.
(Because the time also changed and a few minor other things and those have also been written to the registry)
13. Take note of the registry key, and with a registry editor on your Pocket PC device go to that key.
14. Tap and hold key and choose to export it.
15. You can skip forward in the comparison view to the next changed line using F8.
Basicly that's it.
You can then use the Convert registry files to XML using this other tutorial.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2052809&postcount=236
But you could also collect all the registry keys overtime and put them all into one .reg file before converting them to XML.
And yes even alarm clock times can be done this way.

Nice tutorial:)
Just to share my experience on this, I used ssnap (always included in my customized ROM) to take the system snapshot instead of dump the registry using RegistryDumpPPC. I found it much much faster to load the ssnap dump file inside windiff compare to normal registry dump file. I'm not sure why?:)
And the good thing about ssnap is other than it will track registry changes, it will also track the file/folder changes inside your system. Basically it will record everything that change to the system:cool:
I attached ssnap.exe here for your reference.
Cheers,

Okay this is a UC compliant rom.
Which means you can ad files and cab installtions from you SD card after flashing and it installs automaticly.
So i set the rom up in a way that it's not that customized graphic wise so you can do it yourself.
SPD preconfig.cab will add a few files which you can use and it will also add a SDconfig.txt with some files to finish the rom of the way i intended it.
But you can replace these files with your favourites.
And then there are some more tricks you can use UC SDAutorun for.
The Juju is in the SDconfig.txt file that gets installed to the root of your SD.
It contains lines that tell Autorun what to do.
One of the best trick (which is no longer aplied) is the copying of your PIM.VOL.
PIM.VOL is the file with your contacts and appointments.
To make this trick work you need to add the two lines below to SDConfig.txt.
CPY1:\Storage Card\Cabs\pim.vol
CPY2:\pim.vol
Also off course you will need to copy your full PIM.VOL from the root of the ROM to \Storage Card\Cabs\.
Then it installs the theme and second Splash screen (i left these lines and files in)
CPY1:\Storage Card\Cabs\MyTheme.tsk
CPY2:\Windows\MyTheme.tsk
CPY1:\Storage Card\Cabs\welcomehead.96.png
CPY2:\Windows\welcomehead.96.png
EXEC:\Windows\cusTSK.exe \Windows\MyTheme.tsk
So if you want another Theme or Spalashscreen you replace the files with your (renamed accordingly)
Then it sets up a Blank EMAIL account. (left this file in preconfig)
XML: \Storage Card\Cabs\MyMailAccount.XML
You can edit the xml file in notepad with your EMAIL acount settings.
No more setting up your email after flashing. Also i gave the account the name "EMAIL". This is so HTC Quicklist/New Menu mail button works.
It also has the line and XML file for MyWeatherLocation
So you don't need to set up HTCHOME weathercities anymore after flashing.
XML: \Storage Card\Cabs\MyWeatherLocation.xml
I removed the line that installs MyScreenAlignment.xml
XML: \Storage Card\Cabs\MyScreenAlignment.xml
If you want to use this trick you need to add a blank text file called welcome.not (rename extension) to the root of your SD.
It will skip The Welcome wizard after flashing, and because of the screen alingment settings in the XML you don't need to set this up.
BEWARE Screenaligment differs from device to device, so you need a personal XML file for this.
NOTE The lines in SDConfig.txt with XML provisioning have an extra space after XML:. Same goes for CAB:.
It also contains
CAB: \Storage Card\Cabs\MyWaitingCursor.CAB
Which replaces the default Wating animation with a touch styl one.
You can replace this file with any other M&M Marshall Waiting Animation.
You can off course add more Cab's to install after flash, the choice is yours..
In the future i might add UC SDAutorun installation of MyLocale.xml MyStartupAnimation.gif and maybe some of you have some nifty ideas.
(Added JUMPSL method to download)
Vibranze how did you make that Rapidshare link work without the need for verification?
(i thought if i'm going to ask you if you can check the ELFIN update method for my new ROM, i should also flash yours.)
And again i forgot to replace the camera.lnk (This time i had Pocket screen capture assigned to it)

There is no Need for Cert_SPC and Enable Rapi.
It's all integrated in SPCpreconfig.cab.
I don't know why no one did that before actually.
Black Dot Theme is from T-Mobile, BTW.
And at the moment my personal BTstatus settings is......
UNDERclocking it to 188MHZ when on Homescreen....
I know there are at least two minor bugs.
One everbody allready knows.
It's the HTCHome. when you go into change weather it needs a few click to start up.(only once after reboot)
This is because all stupid services are disabled and then need to be started up. But since you rarily change your Weatherlocation (which can be done using UC anyway ) it's better to have more Mem free and no running Bull then complain about clicking twice do set this.
I chose a lesser evil.
Second bug is when entering the Missed calls the first time after booting.
It will not load (just as HTCdialog.exe) but it will have OK button top right.
Again this is only the first time after this it will.
Known issue in All Kiaser Dialer Ports to Non G3 Devices.
But i still chose the New Dialer because it looks better and it has bigger numbers on screen.
So known issues that solve themselves.
Anwsers before Questions, i know i need rest.

These apps have been free since the beginning of the ice age.
And with Paypal you can choose to Donate, if only a few Bucks.
Me i don't ask or beg for donations, i like what i'm doing and i appreciate the great support. But i really think Some old time guys do deserve some appreciation in the form of a small donation.
Especiallywhen it's a developer that never complained about his apps being used in ROM's.
Now me play with...

I've just flashed my phone today. It was for me the opportunity to test the UC thing. That's a great tool/feature but now i need to find the config files for each program i use ... I'll save a lot of time :) (I've add around 15 lines to the SDautorun) One thing : i've done the screen calibration thing with the XML ... but I had to calibrate it BEFORE SDautorun launchs ! It was useless .. i've certainly missed one thing. I've also seen one bug with the dialer : when i press the history button for the first time, the phone exists ! Afterthat i have no more the problem. And also .. new installation and new theme :) Noonski is there a way to change the touchflo feature that launch alt-tab ? I would like to open the comm manager instead of !

Noonski,
Flashed the new ROM. A few comments:
1. There should be a little bit of a hint about your special |No| No | splash screen. I found it humorous, but after I figured out what is was.
2. Touchpal Cab was not found in \storage card\cabs during the UC configuration. OK could not be selected to continue (see below).
2. Screen calibration settings were way off. I finally found a way to get to the calibration using the 5 way buttons.
3. Dialer ... can't display keypad.
4. PIM Vol did get written to the root, I assume because the UC didn't finish.
Uh oh, soft reset hangs on the No No screen. No where to go. Any ideas?
Update:
Started all over again. New application of Preconfig, new flash of rom.
1. Same Touchpal.cab missing error.
2. Same Screen calibrations missing. Got to screen calibrations by using Dpad to get to Quickmenu and then to settings. I don't know what else may not have completed during the UC config. Probably will tomorrow! At least SPC 6.09 is up!

OK, I successfully install this rom on my Elfin, no rom loss, work great with a few exception like can not change WMP skin or I haven't found out how yet. :)
So the best way to install it on Elfin is:
_ Unlock CID full.
_ Copy the cab file provided with the rom to your SD Card and install it to your SD Card.
_ Run Romupdate.exe till your Elfin restart itself.
_ Plug out the USB cable, let Rom auto-configure in 5 minutes
_ Do the normal setting and let the Rom install some programs in 10 minutes
_ After all that your Elfin restart again and ready to use.

Ah, and I found out that the Contacts program doesn't display SIM contacts, all my contacts saved in my SIM, hix T_T

I'll check this registry setting and i'llpost a cab to fix it.
In the meantime this setting is in the Wiki under registry tweaks
So now we now it does flash to ELFIN
What happens when you open WMP go to "Menu >> Options >> Almost last tab Skins... And wait.
Do other skins show up?
Because the wierd thing even on a rom not pointing to SD skins the skins are showing up (It's even a dutch rom)
I thuaght i anwsered this sorry didn't save it yesterday.
Add a blank txt file to root of SD called welcome.not to skip welcome wizard.
The dialer bug is known and i anwsered it in post 273 because i'm a mind reader.
Tochflo swipe can be changed by renaming whichever file you want to start to Biotouch.exe and copying that to Windows folder with real file explorer (TC or Resco).
Noonski,
Flashed the new ROM.
1. I think We are now giving enough Hint about the NO NO Splash screen. The late April fools joke over will remove it in next versions to Black as hell (low bytecount in rom)
2. Either the line can be removed from sdconfig on root of SD, or rename a cab file that you would like to have in rom to touchpal.cab
2.1 See above to get regular Welcome wizard or remove the whole line with MyScreenAligmnet.xml from sdconfig.txt on root of SD, or replace the MyScreenalignment with one conataining personal screen aligment saved from registry. (xml file will tell where it is)
I took the screen aligment xml out of preconfig and you propably still have the older sdconfig. But preconfig is set to not overwrite sdconfig on sd in case someone has taken time to make his own. If there would be no old sdconfig.txt, preconfig would copy over a new one that does not contain the
XML: \Storage Card\Cabs\MyScreenAlignment.xml
Line
3. Dialer ... can't display keypad. Is this still around. Because this should be changed in the first part of Autorun from the ROM side?
And just wanted to add that today.
Ich Bin Ein Berliner.
Pfew rest now watch some SPCTV...
But not before i attach the Puma Clock graphics (Not Mine)

I changed the registry entry but still no SIM contacts show, i think it is ROM Contacts program fault because I tried PM Contacts and it worked. :D
Well, about WMP skin when I tried to change to other default skins I said wait... wait... forever but no skin change so i have to soft-reset my elfin. Pls take a look to that problem.

I've replaced Biotouch.exe by the Commanager file from /storage card/SPC/Windows ... but it doesn't open anything ! Does the CommManager require some extra files to load ?

IT need it's
CommManager.exe.0409.mui
&
CommManagerRes.dll
Ussually an Exe file will first search the folder it's in for the needed DLL and MUI and if not present it will look in Windows folder.
And sometimes the exe is hardcoded to open dll from windows folder.
Well i knew that there are some sharp users out there and i just thought ahead so i didn't need to anwser the questions at a moment i'm taking a little break ;)
It was one of the bugs that was breaking my head that i could not fix but i like the new dialer a lot more.
But i can always be convinced to switch back, What do you think of the Kaiser 3g Dialer?

Yeah i will make an easier version and look into the USB to PC bug. But i need to find a way of cooking that is less time consuming. (i don't have the routine to only work one day only or just an hour a day, and i need to have a more regular lifestyle besides late nights)
So i need to find a balance before diving in like a chicken without a head.
For those who missed it.

Just installed this ROM as a replacement of a very early version of the same - I was installing SPB mobile shell - reboot, and it works, even though somehow battery status is now gone from the checked today items, and the mobile shell item isn't checked either.
Then I wanted to install a custom skin (iphone with style II blue 2.1 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2174531&postcount=131)) - so I copy those files over the ones in the SPBMS folder, reboot, and no go. Boot hangs on the last screen (touch spc enhanced). Seems the phone is on as the green led is blinking.
I tried with another skin after a hard reset (pointUI) and it works ... So I'm puzzled. Why would it do that? I had this skin working on another ROM, but not on this one. A missing file somewhere? graphically related (just guessing)?
I'm kinda stuck now. I want a fast ROM, and this one is, but I also want this skin!

I'm switching to different OS.
There were some incorrect and missing files.
First do some work on surface.
Next SPC is going to be skinnier but hopefully more close to original rom.

Bug was mentioned and not fixable.
Reason why i'm stepping away from Kaiser Dialer.
Also haven't seen astable replacment for a G3 dialer on the Touch with Smartdial support.
So it's back to Touch Dialer.... But skinned.

Gha funny haven't been here for a while.
How i remember this one with the incorrect Keypad drivers (old)
And making it Perfectly 50MB without cheating and filling it with fake space.
To bad I didn't keep that link/version in the thread, i could have submitted it as my Speedmaster.
