INSTRUCTIONS
Download
1. Download SPC WM6.09 Service Pack 1 and unzip on your PC
2. Before flashing the ROM, move SPCPreConFig.Cab from the unzipped files to temporary directory on SD card and install (it doesn't really matter where you choose to install it, as the contents will be installed on the SD)
Optional Step to Preserve Contacts and Agenda:
Make a copy of PIM.VOL from the root directory of the Device using Total Commander or any other real file explorer to "\Storage Card\Cabs\".
This will overwrite the blank pim.vol file SPCPreConfig.cab installed
This optional step will result in your Agenda and Contacts being preserved when your device reboots after customization, and you only need to do this once)
Best ELF Flashing Method
3. Remove SD card but keep it slightly inserted so you can pop it in quickly.
4. Press and hold Camera button and then use stylus to reset the device.
5. The TriColour Boot screen will display. Verify that you have SPL 1.111.001
6. Flash using 01 Flash Rom application from unzipped files above.
7. Once the Update Tool on Windows displays "Finished" reseat the SD card into the slot immediately and remove the USB cable if you are using SDautorun to copy over pim.vol.
8. Sit Back and enjoy not needing to resync and calibrate your device.
And if you where a smart flasher you had allready installed the HTC Network Wizard 1.1 making life even easier whatever rom you flash.
Best Elfin Method.......... Don't know.. need confirmations.

Sapsettings. (But the service is disabled it can be enabled though Quickmenu cab)
Battery Status 1.05.1 (Replaces Taskmanager and X Button to)(Pressi9ng in the middle of BTstatus opens CommManager, you know where it should state the operator, Set to 247mhz. Recommended not using AutoScale because it might make BTstatus dissapear from home plug ins)

I just now figured out how to integrate Bepe's new Mini Litchen into my familiar HyperCore infironment.
First one i made was based on an older WM 6.1 build and it suck maytor ass but really show the slowness well.
It's full of buggs as i haven't done any work on my old packages wich are incomplete.
But by installing them anyway into the rom it's easier for me to see what needs to be done , if you know what i mean.
So that's "RUU_Signed01.nbh"
And just now i made my first from Bepe's new Build 5.2.199 (I make mistakes with numberings who cares it's the latest)
Added some stuff to be sure the Rom would be larger then 50MB to flash.
Haven't removed anything else yet.
Swiping will give an error as Cube is not in it.
Rename RUU_Signed02.nbh into RUU_Signed02.nbh
But it's fast and very clean.
There's nothing really modified but it might be funny to see some weird experiMENTAL builds that ussually don't get out.
Links coming for both RUU's without the whole Updater stuff with it.
Now how do i kill biotouch completly?
I've attached BioRandomAcces.zip
Drop the files into windows folder, it will bring up Random Acces when swiping upwards ;)
What would be cool Small App to replace the cube with?
(I don't want it back anyway)
Thing about Bepe's Build is Both ELF and ELFIN and i can't change the PP to 4 or 6.
So it will be 8 MB PP but it is a better Build then the first one i tried.
I still need to learn stuff about XIP editing (if it will even make it possible)
Link Removed
Link Above For Flasher Anymous Subscribers. Be sure to make a back up of your contacts as you won't be using the above roms a longer then 2 hours.

Just tried to install icecube on this clean rom.
It started up but did not recognize left, right and down slides:mad:.
It's missing to much Touch Files and drivers and registry settings at the moment.
And i don't have all my shit here at work.
I disabled the Up swipe for cube now.

Changed the thread name into Vanilla.
Time to brick my device, i'm doing a little experiment with XIP to bring 4 MB pagepool to Bepe's Build.
I don't know what i'm doing so let's pray.
Aeugh... that didn't work.

Glyph Cache Tweaks.

Remote Desktop
(I'm checking and remaking all packages i have)
For Packages that cannot be installed side by side i have added a blank file into each package.
The kitchen will give a warning for double files and the file mentioned in the error will point at the mistake made, because i gave it that name. Very simple implementation.
No the list is not finished yet.
This will be the craziest kitchen around, with more options you thought the Touch had.
And Almost Foolproof (nothing is ever FoolProof)
The only requirement is that your end rom is 50MB or bigger.
I'll post some Sample Packages for Clock Graphics, HTC Home, Home Theme, Cube, Random Acces, Endkey and Quicklist. In the Mean time you guys can start looking for them and posting the Custom graph Pack.
Rule is No Custom Graphics from Cook Specific Rom's.
If they want their skins to be public they can post them themselves.
So Who's got some Packages?
I'm looking for that great Phone Dialer from the Shadow Rom.

Will this vanilla be dumpable?
Noonski
11th February 2008, 01:02 PM
Will this vanilla be dumpable?
Nope.
Bepe's Beta Kitchen makes the Rom Undumpable.
When you dump it it will give you an empty Sys folder with a folder called.
"Make Your Own Rom"
But no fear the Kitchen i used with all the options i used for the above rom is at 70% Uploading.
So you can use that, even if it's a Beta to Bepe's Beta.
Difference is i have added the EOMAPPS files and some missing drivers.
I have used several Rom's to look for the best looking or newer Exe files.
I'm still not done doing all the tests i want to do, so who knows it might become possible to re-extract the Rom.
And Maybe Bepe will change that in his kitchen, but i actually find it a usefull function.
It moves all .DSM files into only a few .DSM files which only contain the information to make the foldermentioned above.
Which leaves the Windows folder a lot cleaner and faster.
It might even become 4MB Pagepool, Who knows for sure.

(And i haven't even aplied any Performance tweaks like SD Card Block Reading Size for faster SD acces, larger Cache Settings etc) But i leave this to be fought over by you.
Euhm Network Wizard is dead.
Long Life CU SDAutorun.
You can now export the registry settings with your Connection settings.
Use a tool to convert it into XML.
Then configure the SDconfig file to parse the xml file.
And presto, every time you flash it wil apply your personal settings stored on SD. That's what's so great about CU Compliancy.
It will be in the next version.
I've tested it by doing a
copy from SD\PIM.VOL
to
PIM.VOL
And emediatly after flash i had all my contacts and appointments.
CU Rocks.

It's still Beta Guys ;)
At the moment i'm stripping it to the bone and making Packages for each Part that Comes in the Rom.
I will have seperate Packages for every removed component and everypackage will get the information of how much spave it will take in the RUU_Signed file.
So i'm struggling to keep the .NBH file around 50 MB.
I now switched to a 4MB Pagepool version BTW.
I'm still doing a lot of trivial work and experimenting.
But i'll be uploading the kitchen version next time.
I'll keep using Bepe's new Kitchen for this at the moment, untill i have changed the old HyperCore a bit.
It will have the Preset configuration so it will create the smallest size .NBH file to flash.
And i'm building in Some extra security into packages that cannot be installed together.
I'm really not out to make a ROM perse anymore.
There's always to many requests anyway.
This is more about stripping The Latest WinMob Build and bringing out packages for the kitchen that will make it way to easy to make your own Rom.
If there's specific Graphics Users want, i (or someone else) can make Selectable packages for those.
I've added a few packages that show what i mean. (Mostly for cooks maybe).
My ultimate goal would be that you don't switch your home theme or Cube graphics, you just build yourself a new ROM and flash it and CU Compliancy But's back at least your contacts and agenda and more if you want.
The kitchen will even let you Precook your Country or Hour Method.
At the moment i have a little hardware problem with my Touch to.
It doesn't recognize SD cards anymore.

Your kitchen beta rom is running on my Touch for two days now.
And the idea of a totally UC compliant rom with features you can add by yourself is the way to go I think.
It's more than just a new rom. It will be the new way how to set up the whole device.
If we say so we do not need different roms from now on. Just all the packages.
Maybe there could also be a kitchen where you can select different Kernel Versions to be installed.
great great work so far.

Yes this is the way to go. Fast, super lean, UC compliant room to grow with user defined packages.
Simply brilliant Noonski. The ultimate in custom ROM, that potentially is custom for each user. The only thing that I could see added beyond the packaged out components, would be the reported memory manager that has seemed to disappear along with xTriny. I am betting he pops up again.
BTW, the elfin has the same processor, just more memory.

Ey I'm curious what went wrong??
Yeas i have the Quickmenu Package but it's a very easy one to make.
Funny thing is that i found the performance for QuickMenu inside the Rom with Compact Net 3.5 was a lot slower then when i had it running from SD.
Also the Options Menu's are Garbled. But it strangly doesn'thappen when i run it from SD.
This is not the finished version of the QuickMenu Pack but for now enough.
It doesn't have Registry settings to kill the anyoing Battery Meterthat interferes with Notifications.
Also added the Broken CU Compliancy package.
I really shouldbe doing some other stuff untill Sunday, so maybe someone else can fix it.
It might also be a mistaken boot.rgu or a PROVXML file from OEM folders.
I can't test CU fully anyway (it did workbefore... Damn)(2 years waranty on a Touch T-Mobile will never learn)

Wanna make a fake "official" HTC Touch Rom, that mimics all those things found in the WWE WM6 Rom, but instead with WM6.1? Just I mean like that basics. The touch keypad and keyboard, the original touch cube, and home today plugin, taskmanager, and all those fun things Pretty much the one from dopodasia.com but with Wm6.1 instead? That would be awesome...thanks dude!

If you want to help me out can you post me the reg that you changed to have it running correctly! And i would be running from SD card, should have said that above!

Well you can use the package from the thread above, take out the Quickmenu exe and dll file.
Open the .lnk file in Notepad and change the path to SD destination.
As for the reg settings.
I ussually set Quickmneu up the way i want on phone.
Then i use the attached taskmanager/registry editor ;)
To export the whole set to RGU file.

And to be honoust i'm not planning to.

Well Here's another one i haven't done anything special on.
(But add some packages i need to fix and find the mistakes in the ROM;)
(Like i said i'm building everything from scratch again)
But this version is CU compliant.
I'm adding a package to this post tat you can put on your "Storage Card"
But before you do so you need to get your pim.vol from your rom with total comander or any other real frile explorer.
Because you will need to add it to the Cabs folder.
Why?
pim.vol holds your apointments ant outlook contacts. (And i'm not posting mine ;))
This way they'll be back after flash.
Just extract the attachement.
Place SDconfig.txt on root of SD and place Cabs folder also on root.
Add your own pim.vol.
Or remove the lines:
CPY1:\Storage Card\Cabs\PIM.VOL
CPY2:\PIM.VOL
from theSDconfig file.
And here's the Test Rom

Yeah the new version was not clean.
I had to fix some stuff so i put it in there.
(Office shortcut, Byte counts for cube etc)
Home will stay in the rom and so will Word otherwise i will never get the rom to be more then 50 MB so i have to put something in there ;)
But i'm still thinking which app to replace the Cube swipe with that i have disabled in the final version.
TNX for the camera.
I just added
Directory("\Windows\AppButtons"):-File("Camera.lnk","\Windows\Camera.lnk")
to initflashfiles.dat
And shortcut that belongs in the \Windows\AppButtons folder is attached.
(edit, it's not attached it was allready in the rom only the initflashes line was missing)
Did it emidiatly.
TNX again
Please post the CU problem to the developers thread about this at:

I only posted the hide command because someone else mentioned it i hadn't tested it cuase i didn't need it.

Noonski
15th February 2008, 12:13 AM
Silly question :) why on splash screen there is a 6.09 and not 6.1?
Because it's less then 6.1.
It doesn't have The taskmanager (which i still have to remove correctly and make a seperate correct package)
It doesn't have sample music files.
It doesn't have stupid welcome center.
And it will only get less and less and slimmer and slimmer.. as far as stupid stuff goes like lazy provxml files that cpuld well be in intflashes or in rgu files.
(rgu files get removed from rom in new Bepe)
(Provxml files are larger and clutter up the windows folder.
The less is in the windows folder the faster everything gets and the less power it consumes.
Also some provxml files have values allready in the .hv files that can just as well be edited directly saving up again a few bytes.
Yes i'm greedy.
It's less then 6.1
Microsoft is only giving us more crap and just a little candy, F%^k 6.1.
Also some apps and drivers used are still from pre 6.1 builds as there is no official ELF 59.1999 build (keep writing it incorrect)
Oh wait i will add the old SPC splash screen and welcome graphics as seperate packages.
But i'll be uploading the WM 6.09 version (smaller newer) only tomorow and the updated kitchen with new Packs.

I would have to disagree - having a *proper* task manager included in the default ROM is a big step forward (at last). Even though it's less complete than other apps one can find elsewhere, it's also only one exe.
Compared to the comm managers that adds between 70 and 100 files in /windows, I'd say it's pretty minor.
Edit: ok I didn't understand your message properly - if you're planning to make it a package then I'm totally fine with it. Just make it checked by default :)
Anyway, I'll wait for your updated kitchen, with fixes & new packages. I wasn't able to find the esmertec version cloudyfa used in shadow 2.0 - 20070822.2.1 ... hope you manage to get it at some point :)

It will be seperate package in SYS folder.
Also some people like quickmenu and others like taskmanager with even more options and regedit.
I have his version but i haven't checked if i found all the registry entries yet.

Thing is i lost my old packages and kitchen. And since i started again and there were new bases i set out to remake everything and do it a bit more strucutal.
So some things are still meant to be fixed and they shouldn't be to hard but ifocus on specific things first.
And there's more. I still don't have High speed internet at home (which in a way is good as it stops me from keep on going till i fixed everything)
So when i have something ready i can't go back and fix it before uploading, whioch i'm doing at the end of the day at work not to kill everyone's bandwidth ;)
And i can't be ficing stuff at work even if my work is WINCE related.
So right now the new Version (Slimmer again) will have an issue with Contacts/Random Acces (which i can fix with a cab over the weekend which gives a nice way to test CU SDAutorun )
Here it is BTW:
http://rapidshare.com/files/92086945/6.08.0.27.0S.7z
And i just made the contacts fix (http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=70784&stc=1&d=1203099212) (It's attached).
Removed Cube Again.
Put back in SPC welcome screen.
(As now the welcome screen has become option in SYS folder Package for kitchen which is also being uploaded)
Also with the Kitchen being uploaded anyone can chip in updating Drivers/DLL's, everyone can find what i did wrong or just haven't had the time to do yet.
Eventually this thread will just be a ROM thread.
An old fashioned SPC rom thread. So yes there will not be a ROM start menu everything will be as much as possible on the SD card.
But there still need to be some Fillers for the 50MB limit.
But the main difference is that every suctimisation i put in because i like it, can also be disabled by using the klitchen.
And BTW Cooking Issues can now be taken the SuperProCore (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=1928343&posted=1#post1928343) Thread.

When the Rom is finished and after the two weekly Release candidates, it will be an old fashioned SPC rom.
Which means most applications will run from SD card.
So if you don't need an app you don't install it.
The thing is you only install the CAB once.
Yes Once.
It is hardcoded to install to SPC\Windows\etc... Folder on your SD card. And since Quickmenu qill work with a Programs folder on your SD the App will always be there after you Update SPC rom.
And in some cases the App will always work from SD.
Some apps need specific Registry settings pointing to it to work correctly, in those case the rom will have them precooked.
The Rom may not be finished but you can allready begin installing Apps that will pop up after flashin SPC. Those of you that still have the old SPC Add ons can keep using them. The Cabs wil NOT overwrite or update those.
Changed the Cab's:
Shortcuts will also be installed into the default Start Menu, so the cabs can be used anyway you want.

That's more reason for me to make a kitchen along with the rom.
Personally i have loads of apps on my Strage card and find my own Control Panel Shortcuts which bring me to the exact place very handy when i'm constantly changing settings ;)
But if there's any more request don't hesitate, just post the CAB and i'll trow it through my favourite vooking app.
WINCECABManager.
Also for UC compliancy it's easier to make a small 1k cab with personal settings instead of an XML file that mostly fails to change the settings.

Both IPL & SPL are version 2.2??
First flash back the Chinese Rom.
Then Flash USPL 1.111
Then flash 1.7 SPL IPL stock ROM.
Then Flash USPL 1.111 again.
Then start flashing Custom Roms again.
Stay of the original roms espescially when they contain new IPL after 1.7
I don't trust IPL 2.2
But the first test would be.... Does another Custom Rom Flash without this Error (Because then the NBH might just indeed be corrupt)

First of all:
big thanx for this great work, Noonski.
Stable, fast, less memory needed - my personal favourite. Before this I preferred PDAVIET TouchROM_2.61.808.28B_B19199_WM6.1_Elf.
For me as a navigation software and opera 9 user it's my target to get as much as possible program memory.
After disabling quickmenu (deleting the link in the autostart folder) and disabling the htc xpanel (registry) I got nearly 26 MB free.
Now I'm hunting for more:
Noonski, do you see any other possibilty getting more free memory (you said: Haven't even taken a look at Shaving of program memory usage yet)?

Yeah get it working on 4MB pp to start with.
And disable Glyph cache Filter Cache and euh another one.
There still are some services to kill (like you said Xpanel should have allready been gone)
But my main focus for now is going to be Word and Office not working correctly. I'm going to make a package from the iofficial MS installer.

I'm sorry but what exactly does disabling "XPanel" do? I mean what is the "XPanel"?
Methinks it was part of HTC X Close Taskmanager.
And it should do nothing. OR better said anything that isn't running, isn't eating memory. And any thing that can be disabled without problems can also be removed.
And i again i'm probaply talking shit here but i think Xpanel logged the apps that where open for X-Close.
But have you ever heard of Slide-Tab?
It's something very simple and stupid and never seen in a Touch.

And since it will hopefully be allright in ten minutes.
I have re-enabled the Cube Swipe and replaced the function with ALT-Tab.
Very simple adjustment and less anyoing if you do it by accident.
Ever since i got rid of cube i was thinking of what to replace it with.
Also had to put back 10 button Com Manager because otherwise i wouldn't make the 50MB minimum limit.

Noonski, where do we find the link for "install the SPCPreConFig.Cab"? Is there a link from the red title that is missing? From your instructions on the first post, this should be done prior to entering bootloader and flashing the RUU-signed.nbh, correct?
Coming from SPC 3.0x, are there any parts of SPC 3.0 on the SD card that are no longer needed? I am looking forward to ditching the annoying cube.
So Slide-Tab basicly works like Alt-Tab on the PC allowing the user to switch between applications that are running in the background?

Hi Noonski,
thanx for your great work.
I flashed your nightly build and get some problems.
First: Batterystatus doesn't want to give mobile operator, cpu clock etc. information. All changes in the options menu of batterystatus failed.
Edit: If you use the config via traybar it_s working. In the settings-today-items-options menu it's not working....
Second:
In your RC1 it was quite easy to disable quickmenu - just deleting the link in the autostart. After this I tried to install HTC Enlarge Menu. In your RC1 everything was perfect. In this nightly build the installation went fine but selecting programs or settings have no result. Seems to lose the total folder structure.
Third:
PHM Registry Editor does not work. The tree structure is shown but selection of values is not possible.
Any recommendations?

My problem was to get the bootloader mode (i didn't remember that i had to do something lol) ... so i used your USPL unlocker to crash my Touch to bootloader mode Yeaaah ! It's quite dangerous method i know ;)
It seems that i've always had Total Commander in my SPC/Windows/programs but the link in the start menu for file explorer has changed between SPC 3 and this version and I can't change it anymore (it remains on the same value if i change it).
It seems that i've probably a problem ... with Certs (for example i can't open SDconfig because i don't have cert's).
I've installed the SPC package first but there are two of them ( one 1... and one 2...) Maybe have i go wrong !

Check if there are spaces behind the line that's supposed to instal touchpal right after the .cab
And hey i stole that USPL from another ROM gehehe
I'll recheck the package.
Bootloader is Reset with stylus and hold camera button.
Jep i'm not replacing the default Explorer link in the rom it might piss poeple of.
But you could ad a copy command to SDconfig.txt to copy it from SD to Windows\Start Menu\
It seams there are a few important rules to using SDconfig that are being ironed out by Sleuth over at his thread.
Noonski, where do we find the link for "install the SPCPreConFig.Cab"? Is there a link from the red title that is missing? From your instructions on the first post, this should be done prior to entering bootloader and flashing the RUU-signed.nbh, correct?

You can keep the old SPC folder structure it still works but i haven't aplied file open operations for Adobe Reader and Flash lite yet.
The pre configure was in the package in the first thread not in nightly build i just posted that because it rocks. Yeah i shouldn't say this myself but it's prolly the fastest 6.1 rom (cheater is me with BTstatus)
Pre configure at the moment is needed so i can apply Modifications to the Folder structure and links.
So it will overwrite incorrect links from SPC 3.X version that are no longer valid if i'm correct but it won't touch parts you change in Cabs folder.
I still need to do a lot and there's simply not enough time.
Preconfrig is needed at least opnce, but is still need to correct a few links and ad a few more.
I'll also be adding some cabs to change the three cache settings.
There will be a final version of Pre Config.
Because there are still some ROM files that work great from SD and will be in preconfig, and i need the space for one more app that only runs from ROM.
So using no cache at all will prevent Memory leaks albeit not really present so just more memory but nothing to write home about.
And it will make the device slower.
And higher Cache values for more speed, which it also doesn't need.
If it's not installed.
But you could rename the old SPC folder because i'll be updating everything the coming weeks.
And everything will be back and hopefully with more and more greyscale icons (if people like them)
At the moment for a SPC 3.0 user i would suggest.
Rename old SPC folder to SPC2.
Install preconfig first.
Go to Bootloader and flash.
If any of the old apps are missing from new structure don't hesitate to request them i can make new cabs for these pretty quickly accept for RSS reader/Flash/and Reader.
As for Today Agenda i'm going to do some test with that it seems to be buggy.

noonski. what program are you using to make the icons in the start bar expand when you touch them... (the new mail icon, battery, volume, carrier signal, etc.)?
QuickMenu.
I think i allready wrote that?
It's Quickmenu and it isn't working with the default Controlpanel and Start Menu.
It's working with a replicated Folder configuration.
So i made shortcuts to each setting app with a small extra command to open an specific tab for that control panel item.
I then went in a shellres.96.dll or something and looked up the location of that icon so it would show on the shortcut.
Some goes for every subfolder in the menu.
They contain an icon.lnk file pointing to again an icon from shellres.dll.
Now i have been patching and playing around with some apps like total commander and replacing the icons in the icons with greyscale versions.
And i'm planning to do the same with the Default Windows .dll files maybe.
But they don't like that to much so i have to learn about that some more.

Please Guys can someone say his last conclusion on this last rom, and post some screenshots for this ROM
Mine is that it isn't finished.
Because right now i'm going to look at why WLM 10.6.0032.2100 isn't working in WM6.1 (same package i've been using and worked before WM6.1). And why 10.6.0031.2600 does work.
Which is the last official release. Yeah look at the numbers i want a version that wasn't release officially to work but somehow it all of a sudden it doesn't want to.
31 Saves the contacts to phone and if you choose not to your Contact list will be empty. So you better choose to save them to phone ;)
And then when you switch accounts it first has to remove them again.
10.6.0032.2100 doesn't do that. If you choose to not save contacts to phone contacts they will still show up in friends list.
But the mystery It ain't working.
So i'm going to compare both registry files from those versions and find out wht the difference is.
To see if i lost a few lines or just other differences.
Because i like running those little Builds that never get released officially.
Just go to HTC site and download that version it will be 10.6.0031.2600.
Now i''ve seen an ever newer build of WLM but i want 32 to work.
As for screenshots i posted one two posts back.
Why not just flash it and see for yourself....
I flash at least three times a day, other Roms to.
And then post what you find and try to find something i don't know about.
Because it the rom does contain JAVA just not as a shortcut.
I just haven't come around that so i hid it for those that want to test if It works.
Found the issue hopefully with WLM.
It was my stupid head.
I'm now removing Backlight settings from OEM folder and Shortcut to WMP.
Moving both to SD card.
I like my rom Stripped and Windows clean.
Next up time to remove SQM.

QuickMenu.
I think i allready wrote that?
I think we are talking different places. Not the start menu, but the upper bar where the start icon resides (click start, get the start menu... or on your ROM, the quick menu). I was referring to next to the start menu button, the icons for GPRS, Carrier Signal strength, Sound, Battery, Clock, New Mail, etc.. In you ROM, when you touch that area, an expanded bubble drops down and you can pick the icon you wanted. *MUCH* more finger friendly. I killed the quick menu because I didn't like it, but the function I am talking about still worked.
http://img299.imageshack.us/img299/8040/testbk0.jpg
So... press the area where the arrow points to and you will get a bubble drop down with all of the icons in that area but three times the size. Killer feature!

Can you check the date of the PIM.Vol you have in Cabs Folder on SD?

Yup You should place it in Storage Card\Cabs\
Folder and overwrite the balnk one the preconfigure puts there
Preconfig will never overwrite ANY pim.vol present in that folder.
(Tested it)
Still weird that it freezes on E-Mail Setup.
Maybe it has to to something with OS trying to also look for networkwizard.
And i still need to kill that damned E-Mail Setup.
(Now removing whole SPC folder Structure and Cab Folder to re install and reflash, Trying to Duplicate Behaviour)
(Yes my job was Technical Support one)
Funny how the rate the Previous 6.09 Roms have been downloaded compared to 3.0X versions is a lot higher.
But still hardly no Posts with issues?

File explorer used to open total commander in SPC 3. Found TC and copied PIM.VOL over. Contacts and Calendar back.
So far so good.
Perhaps the problem is not getting the SD card back early enough in the startup sequence? I rushed to get it back in, but you never really know if it is soon enough.

I've tweaked it a bit ... by installing the Aurora Theme and some other things. It's running fast and i've 22mb free ram.
I used it this weekend with iGo and my gps and I had no problem.
I don't think that i'll immediately upgrade to the next rom because it requires some configurations (my "today" soft are on the internal memory) but it sounds promising !
It's always a pleasure to test and use your roms Noonski !
Now i think that i'll learn a bit more about UC to add some automatisation to my configuration ;)

Changed First post according with SD timing.
That is the only real crucial part maybe after that i have been walking away from the device, make myself some tea and go to work.
As i'm now not using a SPC folder full of apps, because not everyone was copying over the files correctly i decided to not Make TotalC an integral part of the whole thing to keep preconfig small.
Preconfig gives me more certainty that the files are where they are supposed to be.

Time and Date is something i haven't given priority.
But anyone that has the time to post the latest Reg keys with Date and Time i'll make a cab for SD autorun (or integrate)
Same goes for custom locales this can be put in a cab to run in SDautorun.
And i beleive it's worth looking into that as it isn't a big thing for a cook to integrate. Because even if someone without UC setup on SD card flashes UC rom it will reset after the regular Autorun.

Did you Install theme through SdAutorun?
Because that one hasn't been working on all UC SD.
Knowing you you will prolly find the not working link in Settings >> Connections >> USB To PC....
Or another one.
What do you mean with "(my "today" soft are on the internal memory)" (Which is it)
Because a lot of configuration can be integrated.
Also there's allready a lot of stuff cooked in that isn't even enabled yet (But i just had to put it in to get the right size (OS was 49.1MB)
Like Java. But i just got hands on New Dutch Rom with very new Java Agent. So that's next on my list this weekend.
(also other new apps i haven't seen in a rom)
And as for Memory...
I have tested with no Cache at all but that does come back in slower performance and doesn't give back a lot of memory, but you do loose less.

My free program memory is around 22 mb.
FYI, on initial startup, the start menu unfolds rather slowly (there must be some background tasks that are completing). After a short delay, the delay in display of the start menu is completely gone.
Is there a way to retain the email settings as well after flashing?
My guess on the minimum comments is that there are a bunch of people watching to see someone else sticks their toe in the pool.
After a minor hickup (I do think it was getting the SD card in place in a timely manner), all seems well. The OS does really seem to perform quickly. For me the test is contacts (as I have over 3,000). Search is very quick.
Did you include any of the cache (glyph) tweaks in this ROM?

E-Mail is also something i want to research, because you can preset the Email (as it is now) to a default folder on SD but it will also need extra keys in SDautorun to bind it completly (just a theory needs research)
Yes first start also runs Netwizard in background waiting for Phone conection and the e-mail wizard.
And i disabled cache seetings in Quickmenu making it start slower but preserving as much memory as possible.
As for those minimum contents i actually also meant to say that it's been downloaded more and more rapidly then previous roms.
Oooh 3000 contacts over active sync your Storage memory must be a bit smaller then. But SDautorun copy is quicker then Active sync.
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\StorageManager\FATFS]
"EnableCache"=dword:0
"CacheSize"=dword:4096
(So disabled so i should have set it to 0.
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\StorageManager\Filters\f sreplxfilt]
"ReplStoreCacheSize"=dword:4096
And glyph....
Euh that's actually set very low....
1024 (Nope it's higher 4096)
So if more speed is needed it can be brought up...
Also BTstatus is running in the background at 247 mhz.
I'll look it up and i'll make some cabs that will pop up in Quickmenu so people can easily fiddle around with these settings without going to regsitry. (Tonight)

Battery Icon can be removed but leaves an ugly void.
Systray as in the one from BatteryStatus?

Well here's alittle somthing to play with, the first of a set of three.
It will install 10 cabs into QuickMenu >> Settings >> Extra >> CacheSettings >> Glyph. But also in to Default Startmenu to use with other Roms. (only 5.36KB)
Addd a few values that i have never used on ELF yet and that i don't advice using yet.
But this is for those that don't mind a freeze and Hard reset to test how far you can push it.
http://rapidshare.com/files/95193782/SPC_GlyphCacheSettings.cab
Sorry could not upload to XDA

Well it's a fair price for knowing people.
As for the Cabs you attached the values these use are.
FatFS enabled to 4096 (Disabled in SPC)(BoostCab)
ReplStoreCacheSize 4096 (Same as SPC)(BoostCab)
ReplStoreCacheSize 32768 (4096 in SPC)(SpeedCab)
So as you see i haven't set them that high.
Setting Glyph very high will result in Memory slowly being stuck in that Cache.
BTW Long press of Start Menu brings up TaskManager.
Found out BTstatus isn't always enabled after flash.
That's one of the things i found in WM6.1 or the kitchen i'm using.
Some registry settings aren't Sticky somehow that's why i'm aplying most in the customizing part.
Oh yes and i forgot to say that i didn't use SDautorun for my theme ...
If i or somoeone else get this one working 100% for ELF i'll integrate it so people can Always use their own favourite theme from SDAutorun.
Life should be Beautifull. (And it will save me some more space in ROM ;))

Maybe you've noticed that if you go very quickly to Send SMS and then go to choose who to send to it hasn't loaded all the contacts yet even with smaller amount of contacts.
That's because Simtoolkit is only loaded untill you need it or after you have started phone app this was again to preserve Memory and performance.
Especially in the start up process after reset. Small details. One might argue that it's anyoing but if you need all the memory you can get very usefull knowing that a reset without using phone is healthier.
Also WM reserves a specific amount of memory at start up that doesn't always get used and it then releases it after a while specificly for some start up apps you won't even find in registry or Start up folder.
It also starts up services on specific events.
M$ is using every chance it gets to try and check for a connection? For Instance opening Agenda will force Active Sync to start in the background, yug.

Totally missread your post at first man do i feel like a fool.
Hmmm maybe using UC to copy .hv files over...
Never tried it worth a shot.
And i have never done mortscript but that could make a backup.
Just thinking out loud, for al i know Windows won't accept overwriting
the Default.hv system.hv or user.hv from documents and settings.
Even if this would work it might interfere with some cooked registry settings.
I've seen some Windows CE hardware developers redirect .hv files to NandFlash memory.
But Storage Cards Always get initiated later then Inbuild nandflash which makes having an SD hives impossible if i'm correct.
Oke i admit life isn't as beautifull as it could be.
But at least i can confirm that custom tsk install will work with UC in ELF Yay.
But it is not taking over the background for the theme dammit aargh i hate tests that don't fully pass.
Fuck it i'm not going to do another run with extra Copy commands for the backdrop.
But if it works i will replace the backdrop in Windows with a Small size complete black one.(More space for required dll's for running some apps from SD.
Full confirm
LOCK:Enabled

It just doesn't work with some themes.

Comm Manager appears to be a "Lite" version. Travelers may need to show the flight attendants the "Flight" mode - this appears missing. Additionally, the standard Comm manager enables / disables wifi. I do not find this setting (perhaps I just do not know where the new location is). Related: it would be useful to find a way to store not only email settings but Bluetooth pairing settings for people that use handsfree devices.
Where is the battery setting to check the overclock rate?
I do not miss the cube. RIP.
PointUI appears to be working on this ROM.
Are you planning on cleaning out a bit more room for programs?

Aaargh Dammit lost the post.
Have to leave for work now.
I'll get back to this.
And did you notice New Radio...
For BTStatus go Start >> Settings >> Personal >> Today Items >> Enable and select BatteryStatus >> Options >> Tray Launch Tab in the bottom >> Enable >> Confirm and back to Home >> Tap BTStatus icon in bottom right >> Show Rows >> Make Sure Main Row is selected.
I left in my Personal Hide Main Row Settings and for some reason BTstatus sometimes opens with the tray launch icons and sometimes it doesn't?!!??!! So good thing you brought it up.
At the moment i'm thinking about precooking it like this:
No Tray Icons (althought i like them there especially as i can ad some more).
Default Speed 247MHZ
CPU Scale Min 175/ Max 247/ Boost 260.
Show on Main screen only with Clock speed.
I also encountered a very strict Flight attendend and i should have used your trick showing him the flight mode, so i understand what you mean.
But if i remember correctly both Quicklist(orEndkey) and HTC CommManager could work with Skin files on SD.
Because it's not just the size of file influencing performance (how slight and insucnificant and unmeaserebale for the eye) It's also the Amount of files in Rom and Windows.
So at this point removing or adding more is very puzling as i would like to hit my perfect target.
Has anyone ever measured memory use Commmanager VS CommLite?
(Because i haven't)

Giving myself a breather so it will Be out in two weeks.
Out:
T-Mobile Theme
In:
AllblackTheme
Out:
WM6.1 backdrop.
In: Allblack Backdrop
Out: DefaukltBaWinMob6.0 Out
In: AllBlack BAckdrop
In:
Today Agenda Working
In:
WM5Torage 1.75 Working
In:
Total Commander
So it looks like it will be default Fileexplorer next to Fexplore. Unles enough people prefer fexplore?
I'll also be looking if file explorer can work with Language files from SD...... Or maybe somoene else can test this.. Just for the fun of it.
Hint i used the word FUN ;)
Don't ask, there's plenty space left.
Out:
Old Os Size 52.428.800
In:
New OS size (For Now)
52,494,336 bytes
So a 64 KB increase not bad for the added Apps.
But there's enough room in there to get back to old OS size.
Theme was replaced because Personal Theme install works from SD.
Not all themes tho.
But looks like a fair trade of.
You get to install your own theme and there's more in the ROM.
Now i'll be testing CU SDautorun install of personal Splash screen.
Is there any interest for this?
Or do you like the greyscale 6.09 Splash?
So like i said Service Pack 1 in two weeks.
I have loads of parties to visit the coming weeks.
Update Service Pack 1:
Out:
Default log in dialer and Battery icon
In:
New T-Mobile log in dialer (it is smaller in size)
Out:
Screen alignment in first ROM autorun
In:
Screen alignment cab added to SPC preconfig to cabs folder to be replaced with your own.
In:
MyTheme.tsk
Added to cabs folder to be replaced with your own.
OUT:
Touchpal.cab install
IN:
New sdconfig.txt with the new commands to install Screen alignment cab and Theme
Out:
Blue dialer
IN:
Grey Dialer
Out:
Old Os Size 52,494,336
In:
New OS size (For Now)
52.428.800 bytes
Back on track Size is perfect again.

- What new radio?
- Thanks for the BTSatus hint. I set it to your values to try.
- I think the regular comm manager would be better so as to display flight status.
- I added back the black.tsk file (the black is beautiful)
- the personal splash would be nice. Could be motivational, personal, interest or whatever. The grey doesn't do it for me ... but this is clearly a matter of personal taste.
Enjoy the time off!
At present no real issues with 6.09. Nice update and plays nice with TouchUI 1.02b T2.

Hey Noonski,
Could you upload the networkwizard once more the download seems to be broken.
Btw i changedthe touchpal cab with the pro version and changed the name of the cab but it didn't install on install
And maybe its just me but the tapping seems to be a little buggy. it looks like it's a bit of th the right
I will install everything once more and i will see what will happen then.
Greetz,
btw while you're onto it :P could anybody point me to a pim backup cab i tought i saw it comming by a few days ago but now i can't seem to find it anymore
This was the one i was after.
The Cooked in Screen alingment.
Start >> Settings >> System Screen >> First tab >> Align Screen.
I knew this was to good to be true.
Welcome wizard will re apear in next version.
Untill people have a personalized .Cab with the correct screen alignment in them.
You can extract great clean registrysettings from HKLM\HARDWARE\DEVICEMAP\TOUCH
With Taskmanager+Registry editor in the seperate Cabs part.
You can then convert te .reg file to XML with a very small and very usefull tool for this job because it's all it does.
Then you use DOEDOE's new App to build your own Cabs folder.
Yes it builds the whole darn SDAUtorun for you and ,.. and...
There moving fast and getting it all sorted out.
The desktop tool is allready at version 0.6 in under a few weeks.
Really great work that they are doing up there in Development and hacking.
So i'm sorry i went over the head stripping the darned OS of Darned Taskmanager and Killing Welcome.
But i'm happy that it will be gone soon for sure.
Yes i'm really trying to make this a tweakers rom.
So it will be fixed. (Untill i'm confident UC is big enough)
Because all you need to do is...
Here it comes this is how you get rid of it.
Remove welcome.not from the root of your SD Before flashing.
It will bring back Welcome and screen alingment at start up.
So this means this option can be added to Doedoe's UC ROM SDConfig.txt Builder .
Done Uploading NetworkWizard. (http://rapidshare.com/files/95488777/SPCeed_HTC_Network_Wizard_1.1.cab)

And did you notice New Radio...
Ahhh, you slyly slipped that in your signature. So 3.08.90. Am I to assume that this is just as worthless as the change from 02.95.90 to 03.07.90? I really did not see any value in the one and only radio ROM upgrade that I did before.
Anyone have any insights into Radio ROM 3.08.90??

I'ts sentiment.
The last best and only radio i have ever used and kept using was when t-Mobile one for the Wizard.
There were to many isses with a few later ones.
So i'm hoping T-Mobile chooses their radios wel now to.
I'll check it in the elevator tomorow.
My GPRS is doing good on uploading a file to rapidshare.
But MSN is a bandwidth hugging monster.
You start noticing little thing over different builds.
XDA didn't allow for that much code for the links in my signature.
So i had to misuse a post for those.
But these are important files to someone in the future that might need them sweating because their phone wotn come on. so i need them in my Sig. And i need to look up that love rom for the wizard. But i still have that great T-Mobile base for the wizard that always worked to restore many many wizards.
Good thing i put it on the Wiki years ago when i said to myself i would stay away from cooking and contribute that way.
I should ask Bram which base he used which BTW has just gotten a lovely daughter. (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=350784&page=16)
And i really don't mind internet over my phone for less then 10 euro a month.
Sleep well guys.

Noonski,
Your rom is currently running on my touch, i reinstalled 1 time because the touchpal didn't got installed the second time it worked, i edited the install script to add pocketalarm for an auto install.
Okay so far so good it all installed great.
But the pocketalarm doesn't show up in the Quickmenu (i think it should be under accesories or something) (and this morning when it went off i had a struggle with it :@, that could be the settings of the alarm and me not being awake)
Now i'm currently at work testing out the SDconfig builder and i exported my network settings out of my registry transformed it to a xml file... but then ?? what should i do then?
(Btw if anybody knows where touchpal stores my registry key for the activation please tell me i couldn't find it i saw different touchpal in the registry but non of them contained my activation key)

Haven't tried it yet but there should be a function doedoe'd app to transform xml files into cab's.
Checked it should be on the there in V 6 on the second tab don't have xml to test it at work.
And i see it even has reg to xml now great.
Can you upload your pocketalarm so i can make it install extra shortcut into SD for Quickmenu.
And see if it can be made into hardcoded SD app if you like.
Touchpall does not store registration in Registry.
It makes an extra file in it's program folder containing that information.
tpconfig.bin
SO you can try the COPY1 Command into rom for that.
Haven't been able to get Touchpall to work from SD after flash yet.

Can any ELFIN user post their Program memory sizes?
I'm trying to figure something out about PP.
Because th OS isn't meant to be ELF/IN or it is but a different value needs to be used to change PP.
at the part where PP is set the old ELF value and many 64MN ram devices changing the value from 40 to 80
would correspond with 4MB or 8MB pagepool.
The new Value is 20 in these mixed ELF/IN rom.
Which in ELF corresponds with 8MB PP But how large is the pagepool in ELFIN?
It has more memory it's double but it also has a larger PPool.
Is it worth it chaing the value to 10 to see what it would do to my elf?
I know setting it to 40 doesn't brick the device it just freezes and crashes and then can be reflashed.
Just thinking out loud in reality things always turn out to be much harder. But i'm just thinking that the new value is there for ELFIN roms

Can you upload the file again?

And i made the Cab install differntely. But anyway Total C will be in ROM next version. (Maybe Temp, i don't know yet)

Well FunhMan two hits is a Confirm.
But the key your looking for would be HKLM\Software\Mi$\Shel\Rai\:MSFEXPLORE.
Change Fexplore.exe to totalcmd.exe
Or just a moment need to test this.
Changing rai doesn't always like being pointing to SD
Unless you quote it.
"\Storage Card\SPC\Windows\etx.exe"
But don't worry Total will be in memory and looks like it's going to be Default.
Anyone else agree? Totalcmd as default fileexplorer.

I encountered a little problem trying to remove SQL CE from the rom as i deem the touch to be not enough powerhouse for the kind of profesional use to need SQL in the ROM.
This way there is more then enough room for HTC commManager.
I was planning to put Flash Lite 3 in but then i remembered the that is a perect SD aplication.
So There's some space left for voice dial and even more.
What Would be a good app to definitly have in Rom?
To busy for an update but i'll try to make a few new SPCeed Cabs tonight maybe...
As for Touchpal i'll look into it.
It also didn't always install with me but it did most the time.
Also the Marshall Touch waiting icon will be back but that will also eventually move to SDautorun so it can be replaced with whichever Waiting icon people would prefer from Marshall.
I replaced the log in dialer with a new t-mobile dialer it's almost identical but a little different, but is shaves of another 300kb in rom (Which is a frickin lot if you consider some apps are only 50KB)
It also has a new battery icon but it doesn't look so nice so i'm still using the original one.

Advanced Config will be back as SD app.
Old one was missing a file.
As for SMS theading disable it's been added I'm also lazy if you can post the registry for disable i can make it an option in Quickmenu to though cab.
(only 1 k or so an this way you have it whatever rom you flash to on your SD)
No at the moment Excell is back, SAP service (disabled but with an extr enable cab in SPC preconfig, STK service (Testing),Symbol Pad and transcriber.
Being lazy is what it's all about.
In the mean time choose your own Marshall waiting cursor.
http://www.marshallskins.ilbello.com/php5/htdocs/downloads.php
And i'll add the line in next SDconfig.txt next Preconfig Update.
Rename cab to MyWaitingCursor.cab
But i'll but the touch version in by default.
Did you mean this one?
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Inbox\Setting s]

9th March 2008, 04:56 AM
Basicly it will have every Sys Package with a _0409 behind it.
As for OEM all parts that need translating will be collected into one place.
It won't have a simple setup but the lay out will make it easier to add translated versions.
And also the Registry keys that need translating will be easier to find.
I will be adding the dutch versions once i'm done.
So basicly you don't have one selection to change but you change all 0409 slected apps into 0413.
It will just make life a little bit easier.
And with Koper eager to get a full german rom out it will at least have three languages to choose from.
And also now everything that gets removed from Rom will get a neat package.
I'm allready at almost 100 selectable options.
(nope i'm beyond 100, just for the HTC Home plug in there are 69 options. All HTCHOmeCustomize graphics are now part of the kitchen)
As for syncing from Storage Card\My documents.
In the rom the default My Documents is set to ROM.
I have allready moved those registry settings so they are easy to find.
Because i was thinking about the same thing. So i will test it. (yes i should be ashamed i haven't yet)
Because who really need two My Documents?
I'm almost doing a 24 hour round the clock run this weekend.
So at the least i think the basic lay out will be there to start getting translated versions into it.
Basicly i was to enthousiastic to cook my own rom that i didn't think through how i had my kitchen set up. And i'm to hard on myself.
When i screw up i start from scratch. It's the best way to do it better.

Change

"My Documents"="\My (file://\\My) Documents"

"My Documents"="\Storage Card\My (file://\\Storage Card\\My) Documents"
In the registry then reboot and try syncing.

Hehe..
MeddaFeck.
Finally. Got new Arc Soft MMS working correctly.
SMS and MMS are seperated again in
Inbox >> New (doesn't have the SMS MMS selection)
This also fixes the issue with QUicklist button not being able to start a new MMS.
Next up Test new Java.
(which apps are imprtant? i;m testing Opera Mini)
Also remind me to change install insrtuction.
Flash >> Insert SD card after flash >> Remove phone from USB.
And don't start your Contacts to soon because it can break the copying of pim.vol from SD.
And yes'..
Attached is a "MyMailAccount.XML"
Which can be configure with your email account settings and then added to SD UC \Storage Card\Cabs\
Folder.
As long as the name is kept "EMAIL" this will fix the last issue with Quicklist/newbutton.
So now by default new SMS MMS and EMAIL will work.
And yes off course you will have your e-mail setup from scratch.
Scratch on of the list.
Oh and i almost forgot.. Adobe Reader 2.0 LE SPCeed (http://rapidshare.com/files/98320863/SPCeedAdobeReader.cab)

It's going slowly.
As i'm re doing the whole Rom but this time neatly so the kitchen is more useable for others to cook with in different languages.
(Also making some Language specific packages and hope to have a Dutch Rom in a month)
And i allready fixed some important and minor issues (haven't heard that many)
But i think most importantly is Esmertec Java 2.119 and Arcsoft MMS 4.28
Working.
I got more time so i'm going to try and make it as perfect as it can be.
Because in the last rom i had to apply some registry fixes through autorun ecause they would not stick after flash or they would sometimes all of a sudden dissapear after a reset.
This might be because of the new Kitchen, but it might be because of changes in WM6.1.
So whenever i encounter these weird not sticking registry settings i'm putting them in a ca fix, but it's not the correct way.
ut the good thing is with a Fix.cab that runs in SDautorun all that needs to e done for user is rerun the cab.
And i think i'm not the only only one running into this.
I hope this all makes sense to some.
At the moment the Rom is not fully stripped to previous size yet. I'm around 57.41 MB total now.
But i think the specs will be the same again.
but very very UC.
I don't think i'll get Program memory more then 22/23M.
Unless someone can guide me into changing the Pagepool which i haven't een able to do.
I tested disabling more services but this had unwanted effects on some applications (Quickmenu dying and Homescreen redraw failing).
The result is that i have more time to test some things.
Other good news is that my Internet will back in a few hours.
So when i get the Kaiser G3 Dialer cooked correctly (instead of applying a ca fix through SD autorun ;)) i will post where i'm at.
And at the moment i'm still surprised everytime my phone tells me i got new mails. because i didn't set it up because i flashed so many times. And i keep forgetting that US now takes care of that yay. Yes i'm Still a fanboy in a way.
BUUT cobra why don't you download the new 200 MB
kitchen which includes the Rom to?
6hours later.....
Finished looking into the issue where the new G3 Kaiser dialer didn't portray correctly.
I compared the reg that fixed it to the rgu that was cooked.
They were identical... Hmmm.
So it wasn't something i fucked up.
It's just another registry setting that doesn't like staying sticky...
Now testing SDautorun fix cab for this issue. (working)
After that remove HTC taskmanager.
HTC Taskmanager removed, Simmanager replaced, Total Command set to default explorer, Catalog removed, Broken voicerecorder removed, Slimmer taskmanager added, made a nice new WMP skin for myself, HTCservices removed cleanly, at 54MB.
SDautorun with added fixes cab installs very slowly but this way PIM.VOL gets copied over correctly to so a minus and a plus.
But FIX from Autorun is needed WM6.1 is stubborn.
(Note to self , set Loading Icon to overwrite)
Set Cab to not delete after install again.
And here's the HTC commManager 8 Button
http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=76049&d=1205670781
Normal installer but reduced graphics.
Should have done this earlier.

Hey where is the picture i uploaded...
I work for a Company that makes Windows CE GPS devices and software.
And we just got three Samples of Windows Mobile Phones with GPS.
And i need to funk up the interface a bit and some other fun stuff.
Not a HTC device.
And one of them has VGA display. Damn it looks crisp, but damn most of the software i use looks crap and small.
I can't officially put HTC commanager on it, but for testing purposes who cares.

What can i replace without cooking the damn thing......
Oe overclock it. I'm like a kid in a candy store.
Who knows koper maybe T-Mobile come knocking on your door ;)
Put a little skin on Battery status for a change. It doesn't support the processor running at 400mhz. not 52mhz, maybe that's in the other vga device. Regular Commmanager 8 button youch still looks nice and Touchpal getting to be a must.
CSstewart... You a good businies man, you think those guys over at POINTui are interested in selling some licenses? Just for the fun of it.
Thy could J$rk off, just by the idea of being the default user interface in a phone.
I just got an assignement just up my alley. Sorry guys but for me this is a big thing. But i'll keep on cooking maybe even more.
Custom very light taskmanager item mapped to long press of shut down button. Propably based on the real CE taskmanager.
Shutdown option on first tab.
With the ussual running programs.
Second tab: Memory status
Memory Total 48.66 In use 20.0MB 28.43 free.
Program mem ory 68.95 in use 16.73 52.12 free yeah i'm using it.
Processes list on Third tab.
Nice little extra i would like seeing under the Shut down key.
HTC Replace the dammit ShutDown.EXE.
There's possibilities there.
Different simmanager., Backs up to SMS to SiM or the other way around. Or delete all of them at once.
Again very lightweight app, but very usefull. It's that same Java T-Mobile started using in new builds.
Forgot the name and about info doesn't show it on this one.
New Gnarls Barkley is also good BTW ;) Listening to it on my Virtual XP closed of from the outside world.

here's what i've been up to.....
got the german TMOB 2.26.111.53 rom and dumped it....
flashed it to my elf and prog mem was 10mb....
grabbed the XIP from my GTouch, cooked... and voila 27MB
then i thougt, what if we take the xip from bepe's kitchen?
Well it worked too, and we are happy with 27MB on first boot, can't remember but i think the pagepool changed... anyhow memory drops to around 18mb after usage....
Got me thinking a bit.... with the xip change the protocol changed.... language stayed the same...
just not sure about this whole 6.1 thing.....
Noonski
19th March 2008, 12:44 AM
I did that with a certain dutch rom a while back. I called it a dirty port.
It worked fine in dutch i told you remember.
But the XIP has a different lay out and drivers.
This is one of the big changes in th BOOR.RGU of XIP.
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\Loader\DeviceStacks]
"LoadHigh"=dword:1
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\init]
"Launch19"="initvmmap.exe"
And then it's folowed by all the drivers.
And then further on..
Damn what was it agian.
That setting that takes over control over all the old drivers for memory, discs and SD cards...
Or was that in The OEM drivers RGU file.....

I am playing with TMOB 2.26.111.53 ROM at the moment using different XIP's.
Depending on XIP I would get ~20 to ~27 MB free programm memory. When using the cube the first time memory would drop by 10megs on my ELF. Inserting the SIM card caused another huge drop.
A friend has an ELFIN and will flash anything you throw at him....
With the same ROM he did not have the same memory drops. He has radio rom 3.08.90 and I had 3.07.90. When I flashed the 08 rom I gained a few MB's prog memory.
Then we still had the cube memory loss. I replaced the 3 TMOB .exe's with an older version I had.
The tmob cube uses brn's instead of png's...
So at the moment I have
CE OS 5.2.1933 build 18125.0.4.2
2.26.111.53
4.1.13.52 protocoll version
with 51.92 MB ram that runs on both ELF and ELFIN

Tapping on the midle part of BTSstatus brings up HTCCommanager running 50-50m from SD and Rom.
Tap and holding same area will kill Commmanager.

Yep it's removed thanks.
Making a new Blank Pim.vol
Which propably also means you didn't have yours backed up to Cabs folder.
The align settings are.
euh lemme look.
Take a registry editor and the key was.
HKLM\Hardware\DEVICEMAP\Touch.
Export to a .reg key and post it as .txt i will make a .cab for SDAutorun.
Or i think that there where some tools at Sleuths UC thread to convert the .reg file to a .xml file that can also be used in SDAutorun.
Then add a line to SDConfig.txt
Either
CAB: \Storage Card\Cabs\MyScreenAlignment.CAB
Or
XML: \Storage Card\Cabs\MyMyScreenAlignment.XML
Depending on if you make an XMl file or a cab.
Uploading another version with new Jbed Java 3.1, SimManager & WLM.
But
Arcsoft M MS 5, Windows WorldCard & HTCQuickGPS will be put on hold, New StreamingMedia for SP2
I'm curious as to which Custom Splashcreens your using.
Noonski
24th March 2008, 06:59 PM
1. First run the Screen alignment application on the rom you are currently running. And be as precise as possible.
2. Then install A regeditor :
http://rapidshare.com/files/93712707/SPCeed_TaskManager___Regedit_1.0.cab
And look up the regitrsy key at:
HKLM\Hardware\DEVICEMAP\Touch
Tap and hold on that folder and choose export to SD card.
3. Download the .rex to XML tool below:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=1902590&postcount=35
4. Copy your exported .reg key to you computer.
5. Use the tool from step 3 to convert the reg to xml. (actually it makes a .provxml file, but you simply rename the extension to .xml)
6. Give the new XML an easy name and copy it back to your SD card in the folder Cabs.
7. Open SDconfig.txt from your Storage Card and a line:
XML: \Storage Card\Cabs\TheNameYouGiveIt.XML
I always put XML lines as last.
Done.
Next time SDautorun runs it will use the correct screenalignment settings.
BTW you can also edit the MyMailAccount.XML in notepad with your E-Mail account settings off course.
http://rapidshare.com/files/102094831/SPC_6.09.SP1.75.zip

If you can change the kaiserkitchen to extract an ELF rom.
We can then Port the Payload file and .VM folder to Bepe's Kitchen (if you extract any 4MB ELF only Rom).
At least it's a theory.
