It is a dumped original. All apps included. Don't worry about version mumber.

thanks for the rom but i have a problem installing it.
when i press update/next/next in my pc, it gets stuck and after ten seconds activesync is disconnecting and i get error260 message: connection. the pda is stuck on loading... so i do soft-reset and everything is fine again.

now it even got stuck in the bootloader screen...

i did hardspl with olipro v2 but where can i check that it really went through?

any1 has any ideas?

UPDATE...sorry about that just had to take out the micro sd card and of course unplug and replug the usb connector.
everything works great now!

It's the original one (WWE). Homescreen is installed. All other htc apps also..
Install Hard SPL and flash your TC.

There is no encouragement to none to use this rom.
Hard SPL is needed always on a non htc rom

Been using a cut down and stripped version of this ROM (146.36mb Storage) for 48hrs and it´s been working just fine. No SOD for me yet....

So what differences do we have between this dumped ROM and the official WWE ?? I have it in packages (OEM/SYS) in my Kaiser kitchen and seems ok.....of course I can´t wait for an OFFICIAL HTC rom to be released.... but in the mean time I´m enjoying the efforts of swtos dumping his ROM, thanks to him.;)

So which is it? Official Shipped Signed HTC or official dumped optimized? I don't have a problem with the ROM, cooked and dumped is great. BUT dumped and modified is not the same as original shipped. Big, huge difference. Not to many of us but to users who have Greek ROMs and may run into issues with GR pkg and will not be able to restore to the original. In case you are not aware of this, flashing non official ROM (and not being able to restore the device to original shipped) does void your warranty when you go into service. So basically, my friend, what I do have a problem with is this:

I'm really surprised by the reaction of some people against the poster of this ROM. The problem isn't the ROM. The problem is that EACH person take under HIS responsibilities the fact that they Flash his device or not ! Each person have to know that flashing their device with another ROM than an official one will automatically have his warranty broken!

I find particularly unfair to "attack" people that try to help other to get better devices.

My Polaris have the "Sound" problem due to the FRENCH ROM bug. I'm not 100% sure to flash my device with this English ROM because (except the sound volume problem), I'm pretty happy with my French ROM.

But the day I'll decide to flash my device, for sure I'll take the entire responsibility of this act !

Then, please respect the work of other and, if you're unhappy, do the cocking rom by yourself or, like the 99% of the people, wait the fixes from the constructor.

Actually my girlfriend had called a number of times - the LED was flashing, and I was unable to turn on the display. I had to soft-reset and then I was flooded by notifications :)

Anyway, I installed the above HTC ROM and it seems to work OK. But I've had it for an hour or so which is not enough to tell for sure. I have a German XDA Orbit2.

True! Been using it whole night and this morning and the official works flawlessly. The ROM given in the first post of this topic had some problems on my device. And there is difference in the version number shown on the device and the amount of memory it takes on the ROM.

The official IS good!

The executable is available on the xda-developers ftp server. It is indeed the original WWE ROM from HTC. If you want to know the origin you will have to ask the mods since I am guessing they are the ones who uploaded the ROM.

As mentioned numerous times in this thread, the originall shipped and signed HTC ROM is available on the Xda-Developers FTP server (ftp://xda:xda@ftp.xda-developers.com/Polaris)

As you can see, there's ITA and WWE versions. No French.

Wouldn't it be a good idea to create an overview of (currently) available original/factory roms by creating a sticky thread in Polaris>Polaris upgrading etc. to store links to all original roms that are available for both Polaris and Orbit o2? Because it is helpful when you want to restore your device and because the same question will be asked once in a while. Hope one of the moderators can do that. Thanks in advance.

I am owning a HTC-branded TC, so if I run the original WWE version ROM exe installer on the FTP server, I don't have to go through Hard-SPL process?

I don't see any reason to flash the official ROM in your device that already has official ROM installed. If you want to go back to factory settings... just do a hard reset.

I think the reason to do this would be to revert back to original ROM if he doesn't like one of the cooked ROMs.

If you have flash HardSPL in the past, you can directly flash WWE or any other ROM now.

This one is definitely official. It also changes the splash boot screen logo from O2 (in my case) to HTC - Smart Mobility...

Original HTC roms can be flashed without hardspl. Any other rom needs hardspl
