Kitchen Based on HyperCore and Bepe's new Compact ELF/IN DevPack.
SuperProCore Is On Hold
Ported XIP Caused SD reading Issues and Bluetooth Radio Issues.
(Syrop how's this working on your version?)

This is an OpenKitchen anyone can contribute, this is for the community and those pesky users that come download and never report issues or say thanks.

SuperProCore, is a kitchen based on a new small simple kitchen made by Bepe (as usual).
Of which you will find the original thread here. (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=365664)

What Makes it SuperPro, is hopefully the amount of Packages/Selectable Apps and options that will show up when you start building the ROM.

What Makes it Core is that hopefully i'll learn how to get some of the great tools in the HyperCore Kitchen...

Everythings discusable.
It's because Microsoft doesn't like to listen that most of us hang out at XDA.

Buttttt.... I have to make one Dictotariol Discision.
Help Files Are A No No.
I have never opened one.
And anyone that needs them on their phone should notbe flashing their Phone.
I onlyleave .htm files in that are doubtfull or needed.

6 Years ago when i first flashed my firt HTC/02 Device XDA allready was about downloading a RomCustomizer, choosing your options then flashing it.

Now since HTC got a bit more stuck up and build a lot more security into their Devices other tools are needed and used. And getting your own custom Rom needs a lot of reading and testing.

The thing is the tools are available, and everyone should be able to do cook their own personal Rom.

Now knowing myself i could work 24/7 on this project (I'm a fucking Chaotic,Paranoid, Compulsive Cooker), but sadly, i also have a life and need to keep myself healthy.
So i'm hoping Some people will jump on this project, even if it means putting "Cooks" out of busines. But hey it will propably also get some people more nights of decent sleep ;)

For now i'm just curious of the opinions and discusions that will pop up.
The Beta v3 ELF/IN Devpack should be enough for some old and new "cooks" (40 downloads) to play with.

So here's an easy deadline, Small update coming next week Wednesday.

Now let's get this thread Sticky.

Version 0.6
Download (http://rapidshare.com/files/95392711/ELF_ELFIN_Kitchen_0.6.zip)

Nothing New Here.
Requires the Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=9b2da534-3e03-4391-8a4d-074b9f2bc1bf&DisplayLang=en)

Bepe's Original Kitchen for ELF/IN.
Just the files to cook with.
So it can be seperatly be updated with New Batch files, Tools and flashing methods.

Why seperate?

Because there are people that know a lot more about writing batch files and apps then me (I know jack shit).

This way if anyone can contribute just to the small kitchen others don't need to download all the seperate packages for the update.

What Rules?

Oh Yeah..!
This is not a "I'm Having Trouble FlashingThread"
Packages must have a Byte Count in the <Tip> Field.
Explanation Here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=1921372&postcount=9).
Add Blank Safety Files To Prevent Overlapping Packages.

Well as some people might want to hit a specific target for their end RUU_Signed.nbh file.

It might be handy to have some bytes to give them an indication of how much space a package might takein the file .NBH file.

And maybe if we are very nice and Bepe's very happy, he might consider to Change/Patch BUILDOS to read a new option.xml field with these Bytes to Calculate the end result build, while still in BUILD OS so it wont run when under 50MB?

Methinks that wouldbe a nice feature.

And it would propably need to read a settings.xml file that contains The Core bytes count and wwehter this Security feature is on or of.

What do you think Bepe Nice Idea?

Noonski
13th February 2008, 09:42 PM
Let's Say there are 5 different Commanagers and you select two?

Well Buildos will tell you which folder itlast processed butit could even be moreacurate orexplanatory.

What if it's a package only containing an registry setting that will kill another registry setting in a similar or different package?

Well if it's known and both packages would have a blankfile with name that will give you the crucial hint where to look for the wrong selected option.

The GlyphCache Packages (http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=70289&d=1202857751) are a small and explanatory example of what mean.

They all Contain a blank text file without extension name
"You Have Selected Mutliple Options In The GlyphCache Section"
So when you select two by accident you get the regular BUILD OS error but becauseit shows you the file name, it's easier to find.

Again it would be nice if this could be done by BUILDOS by reading another option.xml file.

Checking the size in the batch files before we call BuildOS could work!? Well using VBS might be easier... I couls write the target size check if i know how you want to impliment the byte size stuff.

For instance how big is the base? Then each package...
Is it possible to calculate the byte size simply by how big the folders are?

Ouch brain hurts!! ;)

Nah the size of the folder or even just the files that get cooked do not match the eventual size they take in the eventual os.nb or RUU_Sigtned.nbh.

Besides you make the selection of batch/packages inside BUILDOS so depending on that selection you get different outcomes.

At the moment in between living a normal live ;) I run the proces with and then without certain packages and add it to the tip field. So when you mouse over the Option/package in buildos you get the indication.

The eventual base OS i haven't calculated yet as it's not as Base as i want it yet ;)

Good thing there's someone that knows more about some stuff then me.
Tnx

Stilldon't know what the prefered place is formost cooks to put theirpackages on ELF cooking?

Yes the OEM folders need updates to.

As i'll be merging PROVXML files and taking out parts of the registry to some Seperate SYS Packages to avoid Cooking Conflicts.

All in Time.

here is one i like to add to my roms...

Ok, tried it, added some things I usually add, flashed it.
You're saying (or Bepe is) that 19199 is the latest version, yet after flashing it, I'm getting the "old" phone app, not the new one like in Shadow 2.0. Weird? On startup it says Windows mobile 6.09 too... I'm a bit suspicious here :)

Also, it seems the 8 buttons com manager isn't able to start the wifi properly. PhoneAlarm (accessing the WLAN driver directly) works though.
The esmertec Java package is outdated too, it's back from April.

Otherwise, I'm ending up with much less RAM than Shadow 2.0. Around 3 MB with the same apps installed. I don't understand how that can be ! (8MB PP each)
Positive side is that my touch is much more responsive. I'll keep track of the memory leaks. seems 6.1 handles memory much better, which was really needed with the ELF !

The Phone skinn is not New to WM 6.1

It's just a ported Phone pad from somewhere....

The emsertec Package might indeed not be new i just grabbed what could get because Shadow Rom was not extractable for Java rgu files.

Nothing has been tweaked memory wise, but if anyone has any ideas.

Added Random Acces and seperate Default Contacts/Addressbbook packages with Security files so they cant be installed together.
(No worries the default is just rgu file.

Added LargeTitleBar to packages thanks Pkoper.
Renamed it to 000_LargeTitleBar tho.

Did Byte Count for Auto Udate. (131072 Bytes)

Now checking what's different with the Commanager you just posted as i allready had an 8 button original one in there.
(i first took out the link.exe but i put it back)

Hmmmmm yours has a different lay out....

Well looks like an extra option package ten don't need all the Graphics and exe's for that in the kitchen.
I'll post what i mean.

A Fuck it... added Your CommManager anyway. 7-Zip will not take up any more packeging space when files are identical anyway.

Did change UID to be safe.
And added security file will maybe do a byte count sometime.

Keep em Coming.

Maybe tomorow maybe in the weekend, next assignement is make package for new taskmanager and remove it correctly.
And remove SQM (M$ Phone Home) correctly.

this one could really grow out of proportion...
There is so much shit one could include.... the size would be just huge

maybe set up a rapidshare thingy for the packages?????

I could probably spare some webspace and traffic...

Where to from here?

Ultimate launch looks like good ptotential as it looks like FAST User experience.

As for total size of kitchen.

I wouldn't worry about it.

It hasn't reached 100 MB yet.

And .7z is really good with double files.

I remember downloading Nintendo64 roms that unpacked had ten times the original size because the files only had a few diffferent bytes at specific places.

And Kitchen Sys Oem and Rom will be seperated eventually.

Leaving only SYS to grow.

Most of the options will prolly also be just rgu and blank dsm files so that wont take that much size.

And the headaches of Chagning OS language, changing all packages what a hell.

If it worked the way Radio work, we can add multiple OEMs that will be used only one in that group.

First Download and unzip the kitchen (http://rapidshare.com/files/95392711/ELF_ELFIN_Kitchen_0.6.zip).

Then OEM (http://rapidshare.com/files/95387586/OEM.zip) SYS (http://rapidshare.com/files/95366921/SYS.zip) and ROM (http://rapidshare.com/files/92833388/ROM.7z)
Unzip these and place these folders in the Elfin_Elf_Kitchen folder.

I have Updated them with the last Kitchen i cooked my Rom in.

I'm constantly rearanging the kitchen until i get to a final version.

This one has newer HTCRT.exe included.
And it has an extra XIP to FIX.

What's going on? Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package is installed on my computer.

Just re-extracted the Folders i uploaded.

Didn't get the error mesage.
5.416 files 637 folders.

I have to download tomorow at work to see what the differnce is between the file.

Ussually it means there might be a double DSM in Sys folders.

Or i might have left a folder in a folder in that case it might be in the Glyphcache folders.

Or two option.xml files with same UID value.

Did you add any packages?

Or do you have a screenshot of how the folders look?

It should be "OEM" "Personalize" "ROM" "Sys" "Tools" "01 Startco..." "02 Conve...." "Files to Flash etc.."

Maybe i did a quick change to the default option.xml selection.

Can't say for sure untill i have downloaded the uploads again tomorow, sorry.

Man i need my broadband back.

Koper any idea?

I know crossposting isn't really alowed but lately i think it's pretty funny.

Ghe, it's part of the game.

Happy Cooking.

Hey you can make SPC 6.09 Service Pack 1 now.

The issue is in the custom.cab in the UC_compliancy folder.

BTW i hid the certifications in the OS Sys folder.

And i would advice not adding those provxml files or any disable security packages any more.

Or it will result in a freeze after flash at the second splash screen :)

Does it do the same with the default settings?

And how are you flashing?

Because i did not inculde SOFT/JUMPSPL flash method into the kitchen yet.

Go to line 33 and look for the mistake in the RGU.

Go to line 33 and look for the mistake in the RGU.

40723732-841f-40d3-8dd0-af7d0d6156de.rgu" within a few lines of line 33.

So it needed an extra break there tanks that's fixed now.
I never ever selected that. Blegh. Easy fix error log is great.

there is no "40723732-841f-40d3-8dd0-af7d0d6156de.rgu" found in the entire kitchen :( only appears when u run buildos

Yes there is.

I found the file and i found why it gave an error.

It neededed a blank line after the last registry line in the RGU.
I will repeat take the night for some reading.

Make sure you set either XP or vista to show hidden files.

It has been fixed but at the moment you have to find
40723732-841f-40d3-8dd0-af7d0d6156de.rgu

, Yourself, it's in the first welcome center folder.

Hello Noonski,

Would you please help testing my tool?

This is a tool that I develop for friends at local PDA site and I would like to have your opinion.

The tool is for managing cab and help converting registry to provxml file.

The tool is so simple that it has only 3 tabs and use drag & drop to manipulate. Run the file CabMan.exe and you will get a simple GUI with three tabs.

First tab: Extract, simply drag any .cab file to drop Zone and you will get an extracted directory with folder structure. Shortcut in Windows format will also be created. You may modify the install location by moving the file with Windows Explorer. You may create new Shortcut by create a Windows Shortcut as you usually do with general Windows file(s).

Second tab: Pack, drag any folder (in arranged structure as extracted from the Extract tab) over the drop Zone. It will create a cab file for you.

Third tab: use to convert registry (*.cereg) to a provisioning xml (*.provxml) and vice versa. Simple drag the file over drop Zone and it will save a converted file in the same folder as same name.

Please note that registry file format is compatible with Windows and Resco Registry Editor exported file.

I hope you can spend sometime testing it and give me some comments.

The tool was written in Visual Studio 2005 Express, it requires .Net 2.0 on your PC.

I am not sure if I should post it here, if not - please let me know and I'll remove it. I just want you to see and give some comments.

Will defititly check it out.

Would it be possible to export to RGU as provxml files clutter the Windows folder.

And rgu files go neatly into registry and get deleted by Bepe's kitchen.

But just from the looks of it, it looks like a nice light weight tools that will be very apreciated over at Dev and hacking.

I didn´t get any mishaps on 1.2.1.

There´s something about making initflashfiles manually that makes my heart go boom.

BTW the troublsome reg key is actually 4e7 not 407. I have been unable to find it though

Edit: My bad actually I have ound that another reg key that begins with 4e7 is also being troublesome. It breaks at the point where you are finishing the registry in BuildOS. It also does not show up until you run build OS, and gives the error "Error....Could Not access 4e7...."

Well, after a few tweaks to the kitchen and replacing some tools, it finally built the ROM without a hitch. But the build I made had some serious issues. LOL. It was unstable upon first start up but once I am into the OS it runs well. There are program issues though.

Comm manager does not correctly control Wifi.
Shortcuts are missing from Programs folder.
HTC Large Start Menu, has incorrect shortcuts.
Windows Task Manager does not install.
Audio Manager does not install correctly.

Most of the issues I was facing were missing shortcuts or incorrectly installed programs. Stability wise the OS runs great once you get it going. I will keep working at fixing the shortcut and installation issues, since they are mostly just missing or incorrect reg keys, and add some packages to the SYS folder.

Noonski
12th March 2008, 01:32 PM
Hm most of the issues you name where in old kitchen.
Because the new one still has all the original shortcuts in it.

I have remade a lot of shortcuts in the newer version.
(Except Enlarged start menu)

All still a work in progress.

And this version for instance (the latest)
http://rapidshare.de/files/38807556/SuperProCore.zip.html
The new Dialer isn't complete yet.
I attached a different RGU file for that.
I didn't have the time to finish it. (Incorrect registry info in rgu file, which i have an untested version here at work)

The problem is that i can't delete and reupload.
I have only one shot.
but that should soon e over when i have broadband again.

WORK in progress.

And to be honoust.

Making Multi Language Packages is months of even if i would not sleep.

So ignore those for a while.

The whole thing is in Proccess.

but yes even Fexplore will have a seperate package specificly for the purpose of replacing it.

Sp at the moment i'm still stripping everything completly apart.

Once that's done (and hopefully Translations can begin)
ut i'm not doing it.

I'm just making it easier and this is still just a hobby, and as you can see from all the new skin packages and some of the new MUI packages, i'm doing the best i can.

ut the anwser for replacing Fexplore is removing the exe and looking in the registry for a rai\:MS???????? setting and replace that.
Or do a full on renaming of resco to fexplore.exe ut haven''t done that yet. I did change the RAI without issues.

I only know stuff because i researched, tested weird stuff and and plowed through now thousands of lines.

My best advice is to become friends with RegDump from HyperCore Which i have added.

I can try to anwser any and all and maye even do research.
ut it is better to teach how to learn.

No you can only increase program memory by disaling services in

HKLM\init
and
HKLM\Services

and the Windows\Startup folder.

And Kill The Cube seams to get you two MB.
With your storage space i would leave fexplore in the rom and only change the RAI registry key to your own File explorer.

Some applications have build in commands to fexplore which won't work if you take it out. I never took the chance to take fexplore out. ut a Wizard rom that did replace it with another one didn't run as expected on some oicassions.

Hey I noticed the stability issues were actually coming from the 03.12.9 Radio ROM and not the base OS or the XIP.

For being able to install the MUI's I think all you have to do is write an option.xml file in the folder for the MUI and it should show up as an option in Build OS. But either you have to write prep your own MUI's or get ready made ones from other OS's.

Noonski
14th March 2008, 01:48 AM
Yup you are right it can be set up with all the different MUI packs set up with option.xml files.

The thing is when having all packages in the SYS or OEm folder would break the rom building.

For instance some of the last folder contents didn't get in a few flashes .

Weird.

Al i'm waiting for is that People start joining this venture into making all these different MUI lang packs ;)

Because then i can go on a vaction and finally flash a new Faria rom on my Wizard. (If he's cooking i'm out of biznz)

But i'm wondering which stability issues your talking about?

But i'm wondering which stability issues your talking about?

Well upon start up the phone would constantly power off after the loading the first splash screen, i'm using the "Smart Mobility" splash from the original OEM Rom.

Then it would have alot of freezing issues while running initially. I realised after 03.12.9 and low batteries don't mix well, because when my phone is fully charged it runs well, but after it hits the 25% battery mark I cannot restart the phone without having loading issues. I tried a different Radio and it ran fine, so....

Noonski
14th March 2008, 01:57 AM
Aaah good eye there.

But freezes on low battery flashing/rebooting where allready an issue found in some Pre WM6.1 roms somewhere in October. It was either Xtriny or Koala996.
But no one checked the radio versions (methinks)

But the radio reference you give is a very sharp one.

Because it isn't an original ELF.

Enough to get me back on 03.08 version.

 I have seen your kitchen, great work!!!

Running BuildOS.exe on XP I have this error:
"This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem."

I don't know if it's a bug anyway running BuildOS.exe 0.90 by Bepe from \SuperProCore I can see the Packages and buid a dump folder.

In this way we can create and install all packages with localized MUI and RGU files but I think the system will be marked as 0490 (WWE).

So two questions: do you have found the keys/programs to localize the system? Do you think is it possible to make a package to choose the system language?

Thanks :)

Hmmm I'll check the error because i never got it, but good thing is i can download my own kitchen and check fresh on my XP Virtual machine. You do have the redistruutale package for eeuhhhh let me check..

Did you install this?
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=9b2da534-3e03-4391-8a4d-074b9f2bc1bf&DisplayLang=en
And do you have at least .NET framework?

And yes the important keys to make system fully 040something are all in the OEM_Lang lahlah.rgu and i'll have to check in boot.rgu

I might have missed something off course u i really think i cleaned up the OEM registry rgu files (except for moving the .provxml files.

So yes i have them localized but not in my head right now (and leaving work so i'm not going to look them up ;))
So no need to make a package, it's allready there.

For missing MUI files you can cheat y renaming 0409 to 04XX but initflashfiles and RGU's need to e changed correctly.

Aaah found most of them in the bottom of the RGU file in OEM_LANG, i'll move them up a it.

Also best way to edit initflashfiles.dat is by renaming ext to .txt and then ack after edit.

I was doing this the hard way for months untill BramS gave me this trick dammit.

As for German translation.

A half extract (thne check the files in DUMP folder)

Then remove those entries from RGU files in OEM folder.

This just looks to be another WM6.1 "I don't care what your Registry says"
Or it might have something to do with bepe's new kitchen.

I can confirm that.... certain reg changes are ignored. Had to do some changes regarding the localisation via extrom.

Hey noonski,

Just wanted to say thanks for all the work you have done and continuing to do!

I have been away for awhile and trying to catch up to the latest development, however I keep getting confused between various links and versions that people keep posting. Can you perhaps update your first post with the most up to date happenings :D

Thanks in advance,

Hi there Noonski!

I'm helping out a friend of mine with his Elf and course, I'll use your base kitchen to cook for him!:D

Well, I have tried several times to connect to Rapidshare without luck. It tells you that file was removed by uploader!:o

So, I appreciate if you provide another way to have it or update the actual links.

Thanks a lot !;)

Uploading as i speak. It's not the one i'm using right now because that has some broken stuff that i'm still trying to sort out.

In general I'm still tyding everything up and testing all the packages so i removed it as i wasn't confident enough about some of them.

The one i'm uploading hasn't been sorted out completly yet, but that shoulnd't be a problem for you.

Don't use the Kaiser dialer (Unless you fix it off course)

Maybe you can explain me why some regisrty keys don't stick. After a few boots (right softkey and home screen plugins dissapearing)

Love your Download Page

Oh and i don't think this one has UC version 2.0 in it yet.

hi noonski. i have a very very strange request. can u guide me to a link where i would get the wm6.1 core sys. i want only the core sys, no packages, no oems, no softwares.. purely only the core system. and then i want to develop my own personalised rom based on that. take for instance, i dont use sim manager, so i dont want it. i dont use transcriber or std keyboard, so i dont want it. i dont use streaming media so i dont want it etc. etc. or it will be great if u can guide me which files and folders to be deleted in the sys folder to arrive at only the core system

hoping to read from u soon

:D happy weekend brother.. i am trying to cook myself a base rom which will have only the following builtin proggys:

calender
contacts
file manager
sim manager
picture & video
windows media player

and the wm6.1 core system files which are necessary

nothing else apart from these, no themes, no images, no sounds, pure base wm6.1 system rom. i think it will be the cleanest base rom available to mankind. i recently flashed the shadow rom clean edition but even that has a few custom added packages (although i cant do much of cooking on my company laptop) and then add packages to this base rom which only i want and flash it to my phone. i think that will get me the maximum memory (store n prog) available in wm phone :D

hope someone can guide me on how and which files and folders to be deleted for achieving this

A rom that clean will go below the 50MB limit.

You would have to add a big file to get it flashed ;)

I got some time now and am doing a few flashes again.

i agree but then yet again to keep it barely above 50mb limit would be easier for me, as they can then i can add a few packages and keep it above 50mb (that is, is the os.nb file supposed to be above 50mb?)

i am trying to get this clean rom to be used as a base rom for cooking and not for directly flashing to device and using it  so for that i need your guidance on which files and folders to be deleted for deleting which packages out of sys and oem. please help me in achieving this target brother. hoping you could help me out

Start by removing

AUTOUPDATE

&

Catalog

Allmost all .htm files execpt a few in Browsing folders.

Als remove template gif files for camera and any bullshit graphics.

Also remove DRM folder.

And don't remove SQM in WM6.1

I know a lot of stuff that can be removed.

Remember my last rom was exactly 50MB ;)
But i took out more then was needed and it still worked.

Since you don't actually need battery.exe in the Rom.

I will help you out with only one package.

But it's the package that takes the most space.

Once you have removed that you will have a question of which the answer lies in the wiki.

As a matter of fact i was planning on removing SMSservice tonight as a seperate package.

I just removed Backlight Exe. Because even removed you still get acces to the time out settings. And you can adjust brighness anyway from HTCHome plugin.

Also removed Deviceinfo.exe. It's not MUI specific , and honuostly how many times do we use it anyway.

Device= TOUCH rom version=Who Cares, as you can fake the numbers anyway.

And becasue i do it cleanly i can make one bigg as cab for anyone that needs that nonsense in ROM instead of on their SD ;)

i think i have achieved it.. sent you the link via pm to download the clean base rom and removed packages for your review before i upload the link for public use

i have removed

device info
bluetooth explorer & ftp
sap settings
cube
audio manager
backlight
clearstorage
commanager
htc plugin
zip
java
adobe
voice recorder
sim manager
streaming player
task manager
all sip
mms
catalog
commannonea
drm
netcf
notes
office
welcomecentre
all html except default
dialer
calc
transcriber

all removed proggys amounts to about 38.4 mb. these are removed so that everyone can have multiple choices in adding programs. after removing all these the os.nb file is now around 39mb (which i believe is unusable directly) but can be used as a clean base

please check and let me know if this is the bare minimum limit or something can be removed further to add more customisation to the end user or if i have missed out any files while removing the proggys

Yes but did you make Packages for every part that was removed. ;)

Because that's what i'm doing. (That's why i;m taking my time)

Bur removing .Net...
Not smart if some applications might need it.

But good job.

You can also remove the default phone skins... in Sys folders.

If you have HTC phone you don't need those ones in rom

Fuck i did not put that tweak in the WIKI.

I have it at home.

And it's also in the regualr WM5 Tweaks also Wiki.

If this doesn't work cooked it needs to be aplied through Autorun cab installer.

Make WM5 keep CAB files around after installing (1)

If you wish to keep the original .CAB file around after installing the application, set:

HKLM\Software\apps\Microsoft Application Installer\nDynamicDelete = 0 (DWORD decimal)

Or to restore to the default:

HKLM\Software\apps\Microsoft Application Installer\nDynamicDelete = 2 (DWORD decimal)

Make WM5 keep CAB files around after installing (2)

An alternative method of making WM5 keep the original .CAB file around after installing the application is by adding the "/nodelete" option to the Windows CE loader:

HKCR\cabfile\Shell\open\command = 'wceload.exe "%1" /nodelete' (REG_SZ string, no quotes)

Do you have the HTC home plugin for Touch with workable backlight?

I tried all of the available versions without success.

Kindly share if you have. Thanks.

This one (version 2_1_1005722_s0) has working backlight and it has setting option too. But it does not show favourite people (at least in my case).

I can't be angry with JUVS but...

I should have made a cab for this OEM package back then.

But i didn't know how, but i did personally test the correct HTCUtil.dll (or something) and posted the OEM.

Do you know how i know that this cab comes from my old OEm package?

I chnaged some of the PNG files to 24 bits instead of 32 bits with alpha channel to make it smaller.

And it has the first version of my modified weathercities.xml

So that version is the correct one for fixed backlight button..

But you should be able to make the older HTChome work that doesn't have the flicker work.

The secret lies in which HTCUtil.dll you use.

So you can try the HTCUtil.dll from the last version in the old maybe...

vibranze
28th March 2008, 01:12 AM
Hi Noonski,

Thanks for the explanation. In the original or some ROM, the HTCUtil.dll is named HTCUti1.dll.

I will try the JUVS's cab again and report back here.:)

Report: Yeehaa, it's works!!!:)

Cheers,
Vibranze
