before i had my elf with oem rom, i had billionton class1 usb bluetooth dongle installed on my pc, transferring files via BT were ok. last week i flashed my rom to shadow2, now my file transfer via BT wont work even after deleting old partnership and creating a new 1, my pc can see my elf but everytime i transfer files i receive a note saying...

"The file transfer failed because the receiving Bluetooth computer or device did not respond.

If you sent the file to another Windows XP computer, that computer must be running the Bluetooth File Transfer Wizard. If you sent the file to a Bluetooth device, make sure the OBEX File Push Profile is installed."

how do i fix this? thanks in advance.

Found the solution. It was mentioned in different topic.

Beam needs to be activated in Settings/Connection/Beams and also in Comm Manager.

GO TO setting\connection\Beam tik Receive all incoming Beams

Harry,

I tried to send files from Touch to Laptop with al these "beam" settings activated. But, it doesn't work.

Do you know if I need to do something else?

Thanks

I can confirm this works. I had to enable from settings>connections and then turn it on in the comm manager to work.

Make sure that you have a passkey enable device. This tends to be the problem...

Make sure that you have your device "Bluetooth Sharing" turned on.
