ROM update and Registrations

Hi,
I am thinking of making a ROM udate to my MDA touch but there is a question to me, before doing it:

I have also the TomTom Navigator 6 running on my system and I fear that the registration of this software gets lost by having an ROM update.

Does anyone made some experience in this point?

Uninstall it before rom upgrade and it should work fine after upgrade.

Yes, I know, that I have to re-install it, but the regestration of TomTom6 depends on the regestration code, that is delivered with the original CD AND a hardware code, depending on this singel HTC cell phone.
I think, that this hardware code is also renewed with the ROM update?
What do you tink?

I'm not convinced that the uninstall is necessary. Are you using TomTom Home? If so, the re-install should be automatic (it was on my Ipaq 210 when I had to get it replaced)

No, I´m not using TomTom home. Last days I did an hardrest and with the reinstall it wasn´t necessary to confirm the regestration code.
But does a ROM update have an effect on the hardware code of the cellphone?
