I just hard reset my mogul for the first time today, and now when i try to use the internet, it's just extremely slow. It's taking around 2 minutes just to load the sprint home page. I went to the phone settings and ran the IOTA thing, and i soft reset a few times, but that didn't help. Can anyone offer a solution besides calling sprint?

There is a problem with the towers in VA I was told. You would think these mo fos will give us some heads ups before we start resetting our PDA's....Tards

Im in PA, and it is just painfully horrible... they state everything is fine which is a crock of crap! There is no getting through to these tech people, they always blame the device....

Well changing the DNS solved my slooooow browsing probs :) Looks like I'm back in business. For though who don't know how to change it, all you do is... go to settings > Connections tab > connections > Manage existings connections > highlight select Sprint PCS > Click on edit > next > next > Advanced > Servers tab > use specific server address > enter 4.2.2.1 as the DNS and the Alt DNS is 4.2.2.2 then ok and finish. And there you go back to "normal" until Sprint admits it's something on their end and get their prob fixed. Happy surfing :):):)

Try just creating a new modem connection and just name it Sprint PCS 2 or whatever and go through the steps and then enter the DNS setting that way. I got mine to work that way.

When I called, they told me to bring my device into a repair shop or get an external antenna! This came from a supervisor! Un-freakin-believable huh?

I do believe though that everyone should be calling and creating a ticket within Sprint. Because the left arm is about as far away from the right arm as they possible can be within that company, they really might not have a clue how serious the problem is.

I can tell you this crap is really starting to piss me off though. Blackberry service goes down for 3 hours and it's frontpage news....we have had serious problems going on three days now and we can't even get Sprint to ackowledge it.

I live outside of Boston, MA and the service has been on and off for three days now.

When it's on, its painfully slow.

The hits just keep comming from Sprint. Way to go guys...hey, could you raise my monthly fee while your add it? I'm not paying enough for your horrible service and support.

Having the similar issues over here. Pages CAN NOT load up when I make any type of DNS Server change. I think I might be missing a step here or something. I cannot get ICS or WMWIFIROUTER to load pages either.

I am able to ping known public adresses from the tethered PC and the Mogul, but I cant resolve IP addresses. This is strictly a DNS Server problem and it takes forever for pages to Locate.... with the server assigned DNS.

Also, when I run the ##DATA#, I am unable to EDIT these DNS Servers (Primary Home Servers) settings: 68.28.121.76, 68.28.113.76. Any help would be appreciated on this.

FYI I am having the same issues with Chem2's and DCD's latest roms.

Woot! Thanks Xtreme.... working good for now... this is a good fix for now.

As for a Sprint going to admit its them, we will never see it. I have created 3 tickets already and the cornholes keep insisting its the device. So three people I know, their devices just went bad? Wake up Sprint you arrogant crackheads.. Maybe if they got support who knew how to actually tech support we would be fine..

I dont think we are going to hold our breathes for this to get fixed any time soon.

I don't believe this is simply just a DNS issue. I've tried other DNS servers and I'm still having the sporadic networking issues.

It might vary for people dkincaid.. I just used the setting that Xtreme provided, it worked great, then I went back to defaults to test and back to slowness... So who the heck really know whats going on with Sprint.. I think its a hit or miss with everyone at this point.

Same issue here. Changing just the DNS servers results in no pages being found or loaded. If I go back to server-assigned DNS it works fine (not necessarily slow like the others). Why would this be the case for some but not others?

Guys call *2, there is no getting around this.

See here:http://www.sprintusers.com/forum/showthread.php?t=155923

They have a ticket number for this issue so the more complaints the better.

I'm only able to switch to other Sprint DNS servers. Neither 4.2.2.1 nor the opendns servers work for me. They just time out and then I get an error message. Is there a secret to getting them working?

Ok, I figured why to works for some people and not for others. I posted the info here:

I live in the Northeast (Boston area)and have had horrible internet speeds for the last 4 days.

I tried the 4.2.2.1 / 4.2.2.2 but it didn't help.

Then I used the 68.28.114.91 / (alt) 68.28.58.11 which worked like a charm. I think my Internet is even a bit faster resolving sites.

Hope it helps.

Well it looks like Sprint fixed whatever it was that was causing the slow to no internet prob on my end. I'm back up and running on their original servers. But... after using different DNS servers and now using their original ones, it still seems like they have more work to do it's still alittle slow but not as bad as it was. Because after using theses different DNS servers they seem way faster. I'm Curious if everyone else is back up and running. It just pisses me off that those bastards were saying it's my phone and tried to me me get a new one. Some tech support

Okay, now I'm a little confused....

EVERY TIME that I have EVER[B][I] used the phone -OR- the internet the top-left Icon where the EV is [B][I]ALWAYS turns to 1x. Is that strange? This has occurred from the day I got it out of the box, as well as with my PPC-6700 last year. Sorry, maybe this is normal, but I'm not very ppc-savvy yet.

I know when you make or recieve a phone call or send/recieve a text it goes from Ev-do to 1x

but when accessing the internet I'm always on Ev.
