I think NetFront is a little better but Im not 100% sure with these beta versions. In Opera some links were not opening but I felt very comfortable with NetFront. Read NetFront' review here (http://www.pocketpc-live.com/browsers/netfront-for-pocket-pc-review.html) (including video)

Yeah, I saw that one in the first post. Thank for the review of Netfront.
But now I'm looking forward to your Opera review.
Considering that Opera is a pre-alpha or something while Netfront is an actual official beta(?), if Netfront comes out only slightly ahead of Opera, then I'm guessing that the final version of Opera, where bugs and stuff are fixed and features are properly implemented, will beat Netfront :)
Semi-OT: I'm intrigued by the memory usage section of your Netfront review. I wonder if Opera is better at handling multiple "tabs".

Hmmm .... 9.5 Beta has no text rendering as Opera Mini 4 does .... am I missing something or is it cause it is beta version. The performance is not bad, though again Mini 4 is much faster and lighter on memory. I hope at least that 9.5 will bring some power browsing features integrated.

I dont get why everyone harps on about Opera and Netfront, etc. and hates PIE. I have PIE Plus installed along with the PIE slow scroll fix and it run like a dream.... full desktop browsing, multiple tabs, fast scrolling with both scrollbars and finger scrolling, reasonable memory consumption, I just dont really see the problem with PIE.

What do you mean? The text wrapping? I saw a video of the UIQ version, and it actually did the text wrapping thing so text blocks could be viewed without horizontal scrolling.

Opera Mini is a 100K Java app which doesn' handle the page rendering itself. Most of the hard work is done by a server. Opera Mobile is a full, standalone browser which does everything on your phone.

Any news on an Opera review?

I don't think I can write a review of Opera' pre-release version. NetFront pre-release was much more complete or close to their final release. Opera hasn't officially made this version available for test/review and the leaked version seems to have poor performance, poor navigation (no easy menu access and almost no way to exit the application). Hope their final version is much improved to compete.

Carty..
