I do not think it can be clean uninstalled. Do backup FIRST. I learned this the hard way.

Hi all,
Just to share my experience to all you guys.
I can install it on my WM5.
Actually, no need to worry whether it is uninstallable or not. I know there is a way to install by just copy those required files to your pda.
I can execute the opera mobile 9.33 on storage card with just settings and cache on main storage.
The trick is.
1. I have installed an WM6 emulator on desktop.
2. Install Opera 9.33 on that virual image.
3. Copy (Opera9.exe, OperaL.exe, wgtman.exe) from windows to your real phone \storage card\program files\opera9
4. Copy the whole folder \application data\opera9 to your real phone \application data\
5. You can now run \storage card\program files\opera9\opera.exe directory.
This allow you to install to your phone without really install it. And this also allow you use WM5.
Up to now, the real drawback of that Opera Mobile 9.33 is that no smart fit for long text as Opera Min 4. I need to pan for long text.

I use VTap, it searches and plays google and youtube videos. No need for other software.

I'm assuming this version is v9.3, is the original post 9.5 as the post states or not really. If 9.5 any advantage or better to install 9.3 for some reason?

Very good program but a lot of problem with the keyboard of the touch cruise.
No problem with the WM6 keyboard.
Too bad, I am going to use opera mini because I use the HTC keyboard and it is very important for me that it works correctly with opera

have you guys tried the skyfire beta? I know it's private. But i bring it up because of the flash. I am using it with my O2 XDA Stealth with WM6. It works great. I can watch youtube and read digg and do all sorts of stuff. Its a very great browser. They do a login for the beta version in order to run it.

That's great, but it's too bad they'll only take US applicants for the beta. That rules out 90% of the PPC userbase.
At least opera works for all of us.

Thanks for the tip. I rekon that this method would also work for the new 9.5 for WM 6.1,( see "trinity mobile 6 > cab for opera 9.5?".)
Can you break down your directions abit more since I am new to this, and will be doing such an action for the first time with a "WM 6 emulator", etc. Thanks, green

Has anyone try Opera Mobile 9.5 on a Polaris/Touch Cruise (which come with an older version of Opera Mobile)? Can 9.5 be uninstalled if I don't want it anymore? Would I get back the original (older) Opera Mobile that comes with the phone? Want to be sure before I install.

I have installed it on my Sprint touch. It was really fast. The zoom into web sites was really sweet, but I had to uninstall because every time I would run it, it would turn off all of my notification alarms for text messages, email and notifications

As previewed on the HTC Touch Diamond, Opera 9.5 is proving to be sleeker and more efficient that IE and Safari.
For anyone that would appreciate a little first look write up there's one here that I found interesting...
