I have this downloaded soft which I don't want to show up on the running programs list (in Memory settings). I don't have access to source code so I'm wondering if there is any piece of software out there that can help me do that. It's just inconvenient because when I go to a task manager (a simple one, not the advance can-close-anything type) and choose "close all", I want to close everything except that piece of software. Thanks in advance.

Hold down your stylus on its name and add to exclusion.

Thanks but that doesn't work.

to my exclusion list and now it doesn't show if I click on the Task manager icon on the Today screen, so you cannot stop it from there.
If I select Options... it shows, greyed out, in the "Running" tab so if you select Stop All from there it won't stop.
You have the option to remove it from the Exclusive list.

Isn't this the HTC task manager? I think he is using the standard WM6 one.

Testdasi, I would try another task manager, either the HTC one like DaveHutch uses or WkTask, my personal preference. You can always uninstall it if you don't like it.
Or if you really like your task managers, try DotFred's FdcSoft one.

Thanks, it works. :D And DotFred's FdcSoft taskman was the "advance can-close-anything type" that I was refering to.
