Do a search for IOTA.cab and install it.

What happens when you run IOTA? (settings>phone>services>internet>Get Settings)

Get settings has the following choices
Location -> ON
Network Service -> Standard (Home Only is the other choice; deselected)
TTY -> Off
Time Sync -> Auto
Don't see a place to "run IOTA" from there....don't know where else to look.
I'll find & run the IOTA.cab & report back
Hope this works because I like the ROM :D Especially the conversational Text messaging. Very nice.
My primary motivation, however, is to find a ROM that actually runs BlueTooth w/out crashing the phone like Alltel's Stock ROM does. Jury's still out....gonna test.
Thx

BTW, I saw something that refered to "extended ROM". Whats that? And I didn't find IOTA.CAB here....gonna search PPCGeeks if their site ever gets smooth.

If you don't already have the IOTA cab check in your extended rom. Mine is called IOTA_1128.cab. Good luck:cool:

The IOTA cab just made the phone virtually unuseable. Wouldn't Activesync, hung up randomly on calls, and didn't solve the DATA issue.
I noticed the NID/SID setting different w/ the custom ROM than with the SSstock ROM, but I'd not written it down.....so....
back to the Stock ROM, everything works fine. Interestingly, the Username/Password in the Mobile Modem setup for the Alltell data are blank.
I'm gonna reload the custom ROM & Radio 3.27 next week & put the SID/NID in manually that exists in the stock setup & see if that solves the issue.
Sadly, however, the Bluetooth issue was not solved in the custom ROM. It worked once, then I shut the BT headset off. When I restarted it I had to soft reset to get a hook up, and I had no BT activation of MS Voice command. Very sad. I'm still interested in custom roms that acivate the GPS though, so its worth futzing around with :-p
