New To the Scene, With MOGUL

OK I got A Mogul/what ever you call it, and a few questions.
I was thinking of flashing my phone. Now When you flash is that completly get rid of wm6,or is it a add on?
If it gets rid of official WM6 rom can the official be backed up or downloaded?
In case somthig goes wrong/or need to take back to sprint for soe reason.

Is there a how to for dummies,I went through alot of information in the last few days, And I dont want to do this blind Is this a good guide[URL="http://www.cellfanatic.com/2008/02/02/how-to-load-the-3166510-rom-to-your-htc-mogul. or any other thoughts

ok, Rom means OS (Operating System) when you flash another Rom,it replaces the previous Rom or OS on the phone completely,its not just an add on.
Yes! you can backup your present Rom,by backing it to a sdcard or miniSD card by 'mtty' method,or download the official carrier's rom from its website and reflash to revert back to original OS.

If Im Correct then I could put 2.17.651.0 with a radio version of 1.47.01 on my mogul. When i currently have2.09.651.3, with a radio version of 1.32.00.
AND THAT WOULD BE OFFICIAL WM release, So if I needed to switch back from a sweet 6.1 version than i could.

If This is correct Where can i find this to download, cause ive been searching for about 4 hours all over google.

I just want to be sure before i try this thanks
