I was really gung ho about this program, but it just has too many quirks. You have to close it completely to use the today screen or it keeps popping up. Tthe icons don't always work as they should. Sometimes when you are installing programs and icons into Ifonz, it locks up and you have to soft re-boot. And God forbid you have to uninstall it. For me, every time I had to un-install it, I had to do a hard reset, in order to get completely rid of it. Otherwise, it would not install properly the next time. I'm now bopping between PointUI and SPB Pocket Plus.

well for me, as i have a vga device i can't really use pointui, as the vga version is extremely limited, and u have to pay for SPB pocket plus, and it doesn't even a little look amusing.

For me the best thing about ifonz is how everything is just there....... if i want any of my applications, then i don't have to look far.......... but then i can't use the latest ifonz due to the new stupid net compact framework, let alone me having a vga screen...... so i'll never even get to experience the latest ifonz... hmmmm

Well if its any difference, Net Framework 3.5 made my Touch run sluggish and load programs slower. When I performed the hard reset, I did not re-load it. My ppc phone is now back to being zippy. The pocket plus does not have the iphone slide screen feastures, but Ifonz never worked right in that respect for me, as I always overshot the screen of icons I wanted, or pressed too hard and opened a program, when I didn't want to open one. So I found, basically for me, the sliding icons feature is worthless. Of course I can't use the touch pad on a notebook computer either.:)

First of all let me mention that this is a great software... I just want to let you guys know a few bugs I have seen so far... (last 15hours since install)

BUG #1

If you do exactly as I mention... the software will crash..

1. Go to "iFonz Settings" -> Go to the "Pages" option -> and set iFonz for 2 or 3 "Total Number of Pages"
2. Save and Exit Settings...
3. Open iFonz... (I have it with no intro)
4. Go to the 2nd or 3rd screen and you will see the bunch of "Add" icons...
5. Just click and hold any of those "Add" icons and choose edit.
6. Set "Icon Type" as "Home Page"
7. "Name" type in "Home Screen"
8. Click Save...
9. iFonz is dead...

Also... iFonz craches a lot when changing icons for the shortcuts... (will post exact steps as soon as I discover the exact problem)

Hey for me the best one now is throttle...... I love it so much.....the weather you can either have the default, or use weather panel, and wow it looks good........ I do enjoy ifonz, but I can't even get to use the latest version, so Throttle is all i got.

There must be different things going on with different ppc phones. Check your remove programs and search your registry for iFonz. That is the real way to tell.
I really wish it would have been stable on my Touch, but it was just too annoying for me. I tried all the ones you mentioned as well. PointUI was a very interesting shell. I'm now using SPB Pocket Plus. The clock, weather and more are really neat features. I especially like the fact that I can have 6 catagories, a giant clock, screen saver, and instant weather from several places at one time.
Not one lockup or crash.
I'm not giving up on iFonz. I hope the author clears up the bugs.

i just use it on my diamond, but was very slow and unstable ( in the settings for example ). I've uninstalled it for this motivations.

Sounds great. Once it is stable I will take another look at it.

FYI: I have a Sprint Touch. I have the latest OFFICIAL Rom.
With this phone and the new rom version, it does NOT uninstall properly. The only way to get fully rid of the program is to perform a HARD reset and re-install all programs. There are fragments in the registry as well as files left in the system. I know this because I have 3 Touch phones and it does the following on all 3:
1, After uninstalling iFonz, it is still on the list of programs to uninstall.
2. After uninstalling iFonz, there is still fragments left in the registry.
3. After uninstalling iFonz, if I re-install it, I get the message that it is already installed and this will overwrite it.
4. After uninstalling iFonz, and after attempting to re-install it, I get a message that iFonz cannot be installed, because there is a problem. iFonz still works.
5. After uninstalling iFonz, if I perform a hard reset and then restore with a recent saved backup, I get the same messages and problems, as mentioned above.

I hope this scenario helps to figure out why it is doing this on a Sprint Touch phone.

Sometimes, I can't say in what case, the time on the top of the screen isn't correct. If I enter in configuration menu, the time is correct, when return back to the program, the time is already incorrect. When the incorrect time appear, is one our later, like if it is GMT 0 (my time zone is GMT+1).

I've searched and searched, but can't find anyone talking about this. I used ilauncher, but like iFonz VERY much. When I was using ilauncher, I had it set when I clicked the X button to close a program, it really closed it, did not minimize it. What are you guys using with iFonz to close your programs? I am running the latest DCD release on aa Alltel PPC6800.

I'm really enjoy playing with iFonz, just suggestion for next version:
- Improvements speed= iFonz take about 10 second for loading program
- Customize taskbar= for matching with A_C programs (S2U2, S2P, S2V)

glad to see that a new version of ifonz ic coming, i just have a few suggestions so please consider them...

1-have an option to have ifonz appear on the screen when the device wakes up (like spb mobile shell) so its the default interface.
2-create a link to open the programs page with an icon (like you did with the settings) cuz i want to have acess to all my apps without having to create an icon for each one.
3-have an icon open a blank page where you can place today plugins such as weatherpanel so you can acess it with a press of a button or at least make it minimize the app so you can view it on the today screen.


i wish there was a way to have ifonz replace the today screen so i wouldnt have to worry about accidentaly closing the app, cuz i dont use the today screen if im runnin ifonz

Hi again. Just wanted to let you know that Opera Mobile 9.5 Beta does not open correctly. When opened in iFonz, it takes up to 15 seconds to load the program, even if it is already running. When running from the start menu, it loads instantly. I'm using an Verizon HTC Touch/Vogue with Unofficial GPS/WM6.1 ROM 3.02. Thanks in advance, and can't wait for 1.1.0

In new version if you don't use a wallpaper you can enable cleartype fonts, but if you use wallpaper you see red letter during slide pages.

Hi guys

I have iFonz installed with 5 pages and now customized with the right icons and i love it. It only crashes often when changing icons or program shortcuts, never during the normal use. It is a bit slow but that should improve with the new 1.1 version. The only thing i don`t like is tha top bar where the service provider name goes over the time and makes it unreadable. Does someone know about a tweak to change the name of the service provider? I tried with different customizer without success.

1. must install netframe 3,5 with 6 MB (!)
2. when seeting different icons it really oftens freezes, or application ends

Hey guys i haf managed to cr8 a icon to minimise ifonz. The path is in ifonz folder itself under utility there tis minimise.exe.

But however when i use e icon to minimise, it went to my today n ifonz pop back almost instantly. I can onli successfully minimise by hold clicking the battery icon n press minimise.

Why do i haf such a prob? been fidgeting wif it quite a bit but still unable to sovle the problem. My today screen is my own customised rlToday. Is there a clash wif rlToday? Anyone can enlighten me? Thx alot!

I have no problems with minimizing iFonz. Swiping with my finger from top down minimizes iFonz and it stays minimized until I call it back from the start menu.

okay,thank you, i will post them here , but give me some days to make more. but i must say that the most of them you see on the screenshot are of an excisting icon set, i just made the others that i posted as single pictures. but making more is not a problem for me. i plan them in 48 and 52 pixels (i like it big) optimized for black background.

You need to install a little program called "personalizer", it allows you to change the carrier name. I changed mine to a period and have plenty of space now. Do a search.

Anyway guys, I just want you to know that I have ALWAYS had a nokia so please be patient with my N00B questions.

1) How do you put new icons on the Ifonz menu? Where do i find the shortcuts to link an application to the icon so that my navigation icon uses tomtom or to create a new icon which when i push it runs tomtom or my contacts etc....?

2)How do i change the pictures of the icons, where do those pictures go?
I have saved ifonz on to my internal storage, NOT the memory card.

Please make your descriptions as detailed and simple as possible.

is there a way to have the minimize.exe last longer than a half a second??? i have weatherpanel in my today screen and i want the weather icon to minimize the app so i can view it. it would be great if at least it would last 5 seconds or fully minimize

Hopefully this isn't a repeat question..I did a search :)

When iFonz is running, I try to go to the HTC Today screen. via the Start button. The Today screen appears for a moment and then quickly minimizes or disappears. When I close iFonz, I can access the Today screen without it minimizing or disappearing. When I first installed iFonz, I don't believe I had this issue, but I did change a lot of the settings. I defaulted the settings and and even removed/reinstalled it. It still happens. If I hold the battery icon in iFonz and choose minimize, my Today screen appears okay.

Has anyone else had this problem?

Is it a iFonz setting, a Today screen setting, another program altogether?

go into programs then there should be a separate folder here called Ifonz. Inside this folder is 'Ifonz Settings' run this.


also while Ifonz is loaded on your screen...hold stylus on backround and the window will pop up to open Ifonz settings this way too.

Hi, I am experimenting with iFonz (1.0.4) and it works well.
I have S2U2 (1.22) running as well.
Stopping the PDA (powerbutton) while IFONZ is running I get this problem.

When I start the machine the S2U2 slider is shown. Sliding it to enable working on the PDA (looking at iFONZ that was running) makes iFonz crash. It disappears and i need to restart it. Can that be prevented?

When i tried to use my icons without havin to put em on a pink background, my image will be transparent at many random areas.

I think it is if you want the icons to appear to "float", though I'm not 100% sure. If you look back a page or two on this thread I attached all the ones that I made/copied and converted to iFonz style with the correct pink background. FYI, the pink color has to be the exact hexidecimal/html color code or else your image will have partial see through areas as you have noticed. In the zip file I attached I have a blank icon you can past objects into.

I use a free icon editor progam called Sib Icont Editor; works pretty well for me as I am very much an amatuer with image editing.

Associate the video filetype to open using coreplayer (can be done in the registry or using Schap's advanced configure app) and then input the filepath to the video you want to play to an icon slot, when you click on the icon, it will launch the file using whatever app it is associated with.

More of a WM6 question than an iFonz question.

Hello everyone. I am slowly learning the iFonz program. However, my biggest problem is adding programs to the individual icons. Such as "Contacts".............. I've tried to add a contacts icon on my 1st page screen and followed the directions. I edited the file path so it went to "\Windows\poutlook.exe"

However, the problem is that when I go to click on the icon, it takes me to a blank white screen and that's it. I get the following message "iFonz OnPaint Error: Out of memory exception"


I am perplexed as to why this happens? I have tried to understand it, but can't. Can anyone help me please?

This is very frustrating. I was able to load my Pixel browser and make its own icon onto the 1st page and all went well. I just don't understand why "Contacts" won't work.

If you want uninstall iFonz try go to remove programs, and if you can't success uninstall iFonz from remove programs then you have remove folder manually where you installing iFonz and delete all registry.

I have the 700wx from sprint and I installed Ifonz last night. The problem that I am having is the ifonz program keeps closing everytime my goes to sllep or if I hit the red button.

I install the ifonz program on my storage card. I also have a program from this website that allows me to navigate through the phone via drop down boxes (forget the name of program). Maybe this program is interfering with ifonz?

I have a question. I created an "empty" page. It's page #1 (maybe it's an important fact). I replaced the Add icons with transparent ones and deleted all links. Everything is working well until I restart ifonz. After it's restarted I still have the transparent icons but the links are back again. I've deleted all the links for page #1 in the registry but after the restart all is like before. What can I do? Is there a default setting with is loaded when no link is set?

I hope one of you here can give me a helpful tip. Thx.

I'm having that exact same problem! I try to add a few icons and the when I go to use one, such as Contacts, I get a white screen and the phones freezes. I then get that OnPaint Error message. It's driving me nuts.

I had the same problems when loading the program on my HTC Mogul. I tried this, and it helped considerable (be patient it will still crash, but it will save the changes)
1. select the icon to edit and enter the edit screen.
2. only change the icon, then save the new icon.
3. save the change, which then takes you back to the ifonz app.
4. enter ifonz settings, save it there.
5. go back to the icon setting, save the file (link). it may crash here!
6a. if no crash, save it in ifonz settings again
6b. if crash, completely close ifonz by pushing the top right of the screen.
7. open ifonz, everything should be saved

It's quite a tedious process, but once you have entered the information, it works like a charm... and you will be glad that you stuck with the program!
However, anytime you choose to change an icon, you will have to repeat this process! So i stress patience!

I have had that problem a few times when i get a text message from an unknown sender. The icon would show up but not go away. The only way i could get it to go away was to have someone send me a multimedia message. And once I cleared that message the notification icon went away. I hope this helps.

Figured it out in case it happens again. Just close IFonz and run the resent cout cab on the s2u2 front page. Soft reset and everything should be set. It's a pain, but I haven't had it happen again since going through all that. Glad to know I wasn't the only one with the problem.

Well...so far ssj5trunks (ifonz) and A_C (S2P, S2V and S2U2) have stopped all development because of multiple sites selling their work as iPhone clone-kits!! It is very unfortunate, and I hope the other sites learn their lesson, so far the only ones that have learned anything is us....that others can ruin a good thing for the majority by trying to scam a quick buck (I mean really...all you get by paying them is directions to find these apps and how to install them)!!!

So far Tene has held out, I hope he doesn't follow suit, or you can write off (at least for the time being...I HOPE) PocketCM + his keyboard!!!!

First of all I went to the blog, and there is nothing there about that statement that he is halting production. I couldn't find it. Where in the blog is that statement, I would love to see it. It would be a shame if the iFonz program was halted because of a few idiots. The only way I see to stop these people is for the authors to legitimize a business, possibly through XDA-devolopers or possibly with an established business like Lakeridge or one of the bigger companies that can chase down all these people who steal these programs for profit. Most people would pay for programs like these because they are so good, and I believe the author deserves the proceeds.

I did go to the other website which was selling iFonz and this is how he thinks he legitimizes the selling of the products. You can check it out in the Warranty Disclaimer area:

Hopefully freeware is not dead, and sites that try to sell freeware are shut down.

I found it, thanks. It is still a shame though. Each one of these sites should be reported to the web hosts until their sites are taken down.

One question, how do people find these sites, through search engines like google, yahoo, etc. Couldn't a web page be created that tells of the free software, and not pay for these other sites.

For example, if a person searching for software types iPhone clone software, the page we would create would be the first search on the top. I am sure if someone, like the creators of the products, contacted Google or Yahoo, etc and explained the situation, Google, etc could put that page first, or could have the other sites removed from the search engines.

I am sure someone possibly suggested that elsewhere.

But I think if the AC or ssj5trunks or any other person who has their work stolen and sold could contact the search engines, that would be a good first step.

if my memory serves me right: go in ifonz settings and uncheck the box for welcome animation, or something like that, but it's in the settings though.

Thanks Man - it worked! Go via fioe explorer on the phone as said above and it is going to work.

As for the app, very nice idea and concept, though a little bit too slow on my HTC Pro versus the original iPhone version. Can the reason be that it is on the card? Do you guys have it directly on the phone? And/or maybe the running SBP Shell app is slowing it down?

if you don't want the phone icon to show missed calls, just keep your phonebutton pressed 'till menu opens, then choose "edit" and change Icon Type from "Phone" to "Normal" and iFonz won't show the missed calls any more.

I watched a you tube video of someone in demo and they just slid their finger from right to left and it transitioned. Mine doesnt do that... either it does nothing at all or it goes into the setting as if I tapped and held the screen. I think it's been discussed several times, instead of resizing it, you can use a software called "Personalizer" to change your carrier name. Google it.

Sorry but using Personalizer is not sticky, that means after softreset you have to use Personalizer again, as the phone service provider name switches back to original again. Also a registry hack is not sticky, have tried it all and nothing works. I am thinking that maybe a Mortscript doing this registry hack would do it, by placing its shortcut in the Windows/Start folder.

Thanks for the tip. It worked, but I had to enter the information separately to get it to work. I kept getting a white screen when all information was input at once. So, I tried to just enter the file information first and save that. Then, I re-opened the icon edit and put in the parameter information and saved that. Works like a charm now. Thanks again.

I really love the look of this app, especially all the customizing options and would really like to get it to work - but when I try to change an icon - most of the time, the program just hangs when I get to the file explorer, and my only option is then to soft reset by removing the battery, as no buttons work what so ever.

Also - when the file explorer occasionally works - I can't find the icons to use, when i add a new program. Where are they located?

have you moved the ifonzfolder? The standard icons are saved in the iFonz\gfx-folder. If you want to browse to a new icon iFonz starts with the folder, where the old icon has been. If you have moved/deleted this folder, iFonz will hang up.
In this case delete the path to the old icon by pressing the X-button before browsing with > button.
For alternate Icons search the forum.
I hope this fixes your probs with this cool peace of software.

In mycase if iFonz hung up i did no reset but used the taskmanager alttab, I start by a hardwarekey, to jump out.

I actually found the gfx folder right after posting... and managed to change a few icons without hangups. I haven't moved any folders - it's a straight forward installation.

I think maybe the problem is, that I have tried to browse in the windows-folder. As always, it takes quite a while to open the windows folder (not only in ifonz - but also in Total Commander), so maybe this extra long waiting time is what causes ifonz to stall?

you can find for example alot of iFonz icons in my thread.
the windows folder is giant so it allways needs a long time to load in any application.
when changing icons my iFonz often shuts down. don't know why but can live with that because it's running stable in use.

How do I completely uninstall???

Everytime I try an uninstall / reinstall - I get all the old settings on the fresh install - along with a lot of error messages.

I wanted to try to uninstall from memorycard and install on device - but only get errors.

Do I need to delete something manually also???

Edit: Well - I found a folder in the registry and deleted it. Now I get a fresh install, and I can access the settings after installation, but when I try to open ifonz, I still get error messages and can't open the program.

Does anybody know, if there are more folders in registry that needs to be deleted?

this software doesnt work with axim x50, 50v, x51, x51v from what I read on the earlier posts. I confirmed it. My axim c50v doesnt work with this. I t just shows the splash page and then closes out. .net cf 3.5 and everything required is installed. How can I get it to work?

Then enter the URL at Parameters ("http://forum.xda-developers.com").
Pressing the icon will then open the link.

I am using in my Omnia but I still have that pink color on the text when I move to the next page. The Clear type is disabled but still show that pink.

Actually...I'm running it with good success on my X51V...

You need TWO .dll files added to the "\windows\" folder: "phone.dll" and "sms.dll"...you'll find them here on xda with a little searching.
You need these two files when running almost ANY app that is meant for a PHONE CAPABLE device on the Axim which, of course, is NOT a phone but does work GREAT for VoIP!

Also, I cannot get V.1.04 to work but V.1.0 runs fine, especially if you disable the "fade" features in the config.
Another thing: I can get it to run when installed to memory card but NOT reliably. Installed to system memory it works everytime. No crashes...yet!

I'm hoping that the newest 1.1 will go back to working on the Axim!

I think IfonZ is a great launcher.
But I've a problem on my Omnia.
version : ifonz 1.1.2 instaled in Device/ProgramFiles.

When I launch IfonZ.exe, it take 30 secondes to appear, then all seems locked for 30 sec more. Then OK for ONE button, and after is locked for another 30 sec... Same for all function or button of my Omnia.
Same if I want to change the page.
I try to uninstall/reinstall --> same
I hard reset the device, install again --> same
I didn't change the settings. I didn't change any icon and shortcut.

Do you see what can be wrong with me?

As I'm a old user of Personal Assistant (my first was an US Robotics in 1997), I've a lot of appointments...

I check by only save the last 2 weeks, and then, IfonZ is working well, quickly.
But, if I reload my 10 years appointment, Ifonz freeze again.
As I need all my old appointments, is there a setting or something like that to avoid this freeze?

I can get any version installed. But only the versions below 1.0.0 actually work. Versions above 1.0.0 gives me an error telling me I need a newer version of NETCF? And If I have NETCF v3.5 installed on a storage card i need to place the card. I have NETCF 3.5 installed and not on a card, but in main. However a card is installed. Running the basic HTC 3.54 WM6 ROM.

Version 1.0.0 cannot be uninstalled. So I over installed 0.9.9 again.

It's not a joke. If I reload all my old appointments, Ifonz freeze (20 to 30 secondes).

When I check in Settings/Memory, I have :

So, it doesnt seem to be a memory problem.

I was a keen user of an earlier "lookalike" which worked well on my XDA Orbit. I was referred to iFonz as a worthy successor of that to go on my O2 XDA Ignito (an HTC Touch Diamond in a different housing). It looks excellent on this thread.

It doesn't do that on my XDA - I have some problems that I couldn't resolve from reading the thread.

1. I can't close iFonz down. Tapping the tiny battery icon does nothing. When it crashes (as it has done a few times), it's a real pain.

2. The text row at the top of the screen is absolutely tiny - it's impossible to read it, and the battery icon (see 1) is very small and hard to "hit". The icons were tiny, too, but there was a way to resize those (mine are now 90 x 90 and about the right size). I couldn't resize the text. I'm sure there's a way - but what is it?

3. I made up some .lnk files, some copied from the "readme" and some of my own (for example one containing "\windows\Opera9.exe") Most of them (except those starting with "number and hash") don't work. Should they all have "number and hash"?

Should the links go in the Windows directory, or can I put them somewhere else?

4. The machine crashed several times, with the icons scrolling vertically (not horizontally).

I haven't done any more yet, but wonder if I've done something fundamentally stupid.


EDIT: I tried again, with "number and hash" at the start of each link, and they work OK from File Manager, so I think that's the fix for those. But iFonz still won't let go, and crashes with an "Out of Memory Exception" quite regularly.

1. Seems you have a vga device like Diamond ? (90 x 90 pixel Icons ?). Maybe that helps when descriping a Problem and you understand now why everything is so small on your device. Download the new Ifonz , it should work better with a VGA Device, and please look here or search and don`t post in old threads. Because the new Version has a lot of bug fixes.
2. a lnk file is just a link to a application file (.exe), but in most cases you really don`t need that, just go to the icon settings and choose/search directly the Software on your device (with the arrow) and look for the .exe File of the specific application. Most of the software is under Windows\ProgramFiles\GoogleMaps\GoogleMaps.exe.... .
Some Software maybe u have installed on your SD-Card, so look there under Program Files.

hi I hope someone can help:
I made one of the four bottom shortcuts to Contact, but made it a "Phone" type button. Such that when I got a missed call, the bubble would come out fine, and when I clicked on it the phone screen came out.
Once I done that and closed the phone screen however, the bubble with no. "1" is still there...
How can I sort this out? thanks

This is not a bug, its just logical because you want to see whon is calling you: So you must go to you missed calls function in the dialer, then your bubble is gone. AND BETTER post your question no in a OLD TREAD ! Ifonz 1.1.2.0 is out since many weeks, good morning :D

I have a htc 8125 running windows mobile 5. I am using ifon 1.1.2. My question is when changing programs, opening programs, or unlocking s2u2, the screen fades to white then fades in the new screen. Is there any way to do away with this white screen and go directly to the next screen. or is it possible to change the color to anything other than white???

I tried to install ifonz 1.0.4 in my htc, after installation when I try to tap on the ifonz icon in programs, I'm getting this message

"This application requires a newer version of the Microsof .NET compact framework than the version installed on this device"

so I downloaded the .net framework 3.5. After when I tap on NETCFSetupv35.msi, I'm getting the following message

"There is no application associated with "NETCFSetupv35". Run the application first, then open this file from within the application"

So, if I run the application I'm getting the first message, now this message, how can I solve this problem?

I downloaded the program onto my htc diamond. I start the program and it starts and it shows all of the icons "falling" from top to bottom. Then it shows where the program comes from and the exits on its own and goes right back to me regular phone.

Sounds like a bad installation.

Are you running the latest version (1.1.2)? If not, start by downloading that.

Uninstall the one you have, then reinstall (1.1.2).

That fixed it for me when my first attempt had the same problem.

Just download the zip file and extract it into a folder of your phone. Run corresponding exe file inside the folder. It will not messing up your phone. As it no need installation for ifonz 1.1.2

For example the first icon when pushed will go to the sms screen for my first contact. then the second icon will go to another sms contact, etc. My question is, how do I program/add that person to that specific icon? "Command", what Do i put in here so it opens the SMS screen with my first contact ????

Hello, I did a hard reset on my phone and installed Ifonz (v1.1.2), S2U2 and S2U2C a few days ago and I have been incurring a few issues.

1. The default internet was set to IE and I prefer Opera. When I went to change the icon I could not locate any Opera.exe or anything of that sort. So I installed the newest version of Opera (9.5 beta). When I went to use my keyboard today the WM keyboard popped up, even though my default is set to Samsung keyboard. When I switched the keyboard to Samsung, it wouldn't let me type letters but it would let me type symbols and numbers? I did a soft reset and it didn't fix the issue. So I reset my icon to the default (IE) and when I used my keyboard the Samsung keyboard popped up. When I typed it worked fine but when I tried to erase a letter it acted as a "back button" for the browser. Any ideas on whats going on here?

2. My internet used to be connected 24/7, ever since I installed Ifonz I can hardly get a connection.

3. Also, I tried to set-up my Hotmail account that I had previously before I did a hard reset and it takes me to the download page. I go and log in and press finish and nothing happens? I don't know if this is related to the Ifonz but I had no problems with it before I installed...

I hope these are fixable, I'm in the middle of making a theme and I would hate to have to uninstall it and waste all my hard work :(


Oh, and I have the Samsung Omnia i910, Verizon Wireless, WM 6.1 pro and NetCFv3.5

I had setup all my settings back to normal after I did the hard reset :confused:

I got it installed on my Touch Pro and for the most part it works, but with the VGA resolution, the icons and all text is too tiny to be usable. It looks like it could be really cool. Can you make a VGA version? IFonz 2 really doesn't look as good. I like this better.

hi all, i have a verizon omnia i910 and ive been using ifonz for about a week and everything was working fine, it closes on its own sometimes but no biggie i set it to a soft key so i can reopen quickly, but now, everytime i try to change an icon image, nothing happens, it jus shows the little spinning loading deal and it wont go away unless i reset the icon or close and reopen ifonz, can somebody plz help, i was tryin to figure everything out on my own, but now im stumped?

btw: i tried to deleting the ifonz folder(which i had kind of a hard time deleted the shortcuts.ink in the folder) and then i copied it back to the phone, but, it didnt change much, all of my settings stayed the same which i had hoped would reset, and it only changed the icons back to the originals.

The title says it all; Has the author stopped supporting this product? If so I'll wipe from the phone.

The program is stuck in VGA mode, even after I set it to qVGA. Deleting the settings does no good. How do I fix?

i recently installed ifonz on my samsung i730. it took me a while (and this forum) to figure out where to install (Not the memory card, LOL). after installing that .NET 3.5 thing (which took forever to do!) and then installing the ifonz application, i got several error messages referencing NullReferenceException ...... i have been able to get the .dll files (?) from here and put them on my phone to get the application running. but now when i click on an icon (like Images) it will open the a folder with Applew's images in it no problem, but when Images, i get an error message that reads:


Microsoft.WindowsMobile.PocketOutlook.PoomStore.Di spose()


This is the only error message i have not been able to fix and its driving me nuts. any help would greatly be appreciated. i am running Ifonz version 1.1.2-QVGA

Also, who made this program and where can i donate to help with the cost of development. If i could get it to work properly, it would be a freakin sick app!!!! Down with Apple! Hooray for Open Source!!!!

Halo All,

First, thank you for the Program. And i have installed this on my OMNIA last days. I am still fighting to configure to bring it USABLE. Here is my Problem. Before quoting here, I've been through the previous pages to find similar problem but not succeed.

So, I have tried QVGA and VGA versions. But both are not able to fix my problem. On the Home window, i am able to see only half i.e. the CLOCK box is covering the whole space and i tried to set this in setting.dat file, but not able to fix.

Please help me fix this. THank you.

Hi to all,

I hope I can get some guidance on this. I have a samsung omnia with Verizon Wireless. Installed ifonz v1.0.4 and at the top i was able to see the signal bars. I unistalled it following the directions and installed ifonz v1.1.2 now all I see is "NO SERVICE", what do I need to do to show the signal bars at the top left side.

The iFonz.0.6.0 doesn't install. When the CAB is opened. It starts and says unsuccessful install. I have installed .NET CF 3.5 as well on my computer.

Any suggestions?

>NET CF 3.5 has to be installed on your phone, not the computer. If you have .NET 2.0 in ROM, you won't be able to install .NET 3.5 at all. You will probably need to have a cooked ROM with .NET 3.5 in it.

I have a question,

i have a omnia (I900)
I donwloaded Ifonz the latest version ( not ifonz 2 ) and i tried to install.
I got an error about NET cf 3.5
I installed it on the phone but i still have a problem with installing Ifonz.

get the error Ifonz.exe TypeLoadException ..................

i readed this post:

after you have downloaded ifonz 1.1.2

make a folder in the phone called ifonz in the my device/program files

then unzip the contents of downloaded file into the newly created folder

then soft reset the go to file explorer and to to my device/program files/ifonz

tap and hold on ifonz.exe tap creat shortcut then go to the shortcut (it should apperar at the bottom of the folder

copy and paste it into /my device/windows/start menu/programs

soft reset

then once the phone has rebooted gp to start -> programs and click on the ifonz icon

this should now start ifonz

But i can't create a shortcut ore anything like that.... HELP !?! haha

btw i have a Dutch phone/menu.....

nothing hapened when do this... if click only one get message confirmation for exit but when tap and press long only circle animation show and nothing else....

NET CF 3.5 has to be installed on your phone, not the computer. If you have .NET 2.0 in ROM, you won't be able to install .NET 3.5 at all. You will probably need to have a cooked ROM with .NET 3.5 in it.

This is not true. I have .net 2.0 in ROM and i have updated to .Net 3.5. Please do not provide incorrect information

parameters is set to Gmail

yet it still loads java and I have to launch. Not really that big a deal but I am sure it could be better and that I am just doing something wrong. Any help is appreciated
