Glass rom? Ring tones prob?

Pardon me for my ignorance but can somebdy tell me whats the difference between Glass Rom and Non-Glass Rom? and also the difference between 16MB and 32MB PagePool,will larger pagepool increase the speed of my BA?:D

Also i have one question, why cant i change my ringtone and sms tone? i've tried all the released rom but all of them have the same problem. At first I can change my ringtones after i flash the rom but once i installed all the programs that i needd like TCPMP,spb, wisbar advance etc... the problem occur. My tones keeps on going back to its default alarm3 and now accepting WAV tones only. Can somebody tell me whats causing this problem? Thanks in advance!
