Out of curiosity, does Sprint offer EVDO Rev 0, or just 1xRTT? Bell offers both, and there is a remarkable difference in speed, but Rev A does not appear dramatically faster than Rev 0. Since all the Sprint users are going nuts over Rev A, I was assuming they don't even have Rev 0, but maybe I'm wrong?

Sprint EVDO rev 0 has a max cap of 1.5 mbps
Rev A has a max cap of ~ 3 mbps

I'm getting ~ 1.2 mbps on a 4+ bar signal (rev 0)

good rundown (http://evdoinfo.blogspot.com/2007/03/evdo-rev-vs-evdo-rev-0.html)

oh yeah, Sprint also throws you on 1xRTT while you're in a call... not sure if that will change with Rev A

That's normal. Rev A won't change it, as it doesn't let you use data/voice at the same time and never will.
