I've heard Total Commander does this. Haven't tried it myself.

I was able to manually move all TomTom files from device to equivelent folders on a memory card. All that remained to be done was the redirecting of the shortcut in /Windows/Start Menu/Programs to point to the exe on the memory card. Again easily achieved with Total Commander. As far as I know there is no automated way of doing this with Total Commander. I regained 5+Mb of space on my device.
I wouldn't relocate anything related to today screen plugins, dialler skins, screen locks or programs that run on startup to a memory card as this can cause problems.

Indeed, that's the way I do it.
From the program:
O Relocate installed software,
O Relocate data (email, cache etc),
O Relocate folders.

You can choose to move the files and folders, to update the registry reference, to update the shortcut reference and to update .unload files.
