id like to replace the E icon with the 3G icon...my area doesnt get 3G...and i like that icon....how can i do this? i already copied the "3G.gif" to my documents, renamed it "EDGE.gif" and tried to put it back in the windows folder, but it says access denied...any ideas?

Dont know if your device is still screwed, but if not, the best way would be to hack the reg entries for your data service. I have seen threads about changing the symbol that is shown for each type of data connection in the registry.
