condition: no sound from the rear speaker of prophet, yet when plug in a headset there is sound.
solution: (from fast easy to troublesome)
1. some post say there is some kind of jam in the headset jack, try plug and unplug the jack with the original headset (some says toothpick will do the work also, but it may damage the internal if you push to hard)
2. check if your phone is still on warranty, if you do and you have the time and okay to let go your phone for some period of time, send your phone back to the dealer or whoever give you the warranty.
3. if you are just like me get no luck from the 1st method and too lazy to send back to dealer (i have paid to extend the warranty, might send later when i am free), try apply some pressure to the air around the speaker, if sounds come back then the sponge/paper method to temporarily solve the problem. Try apply a piece of folder paper or sponge to between the case and the speak (try to apply pressure on diff. area to achieve the best result first). How to open the case? Thank some nice Italian guy and google, here is the translated italian page about how to change the case of prophet, and the procedure is the same to "open" the case of the phone.

3. if you 2nd method work for you no more (as the sponge and paper will deteriorate with time) try to totally replace the speaker with a new one, from that link above, once you can open the case, the speaker could be easily replaced, and try search ebay for that speaker parts, keywords "Qtek S200 Speaker", look for those comes with free tools, which will save your finger nail to lift the case !
personally, i will see if i have the time, i really wanna change the speaker myself.
hope this summary help.
FYI, mine is Dopod 818 pro / prophet X
